“It's a wonder I haven't abandoned all my ideals, they seem so absurd and impractical. Yet I cling to them because I still believe in spite of everything, that people are truly good at heart.” (Anne Frank) Anne Frank was one of the many children who fell victim to the Holocaust during the World War II. Anne’s story is nothing short of a tragedy; she died at the early age of fifteen from Typhus while being held by the Nazi Regime, in the concentration camp Bergen-Belsen. Before dying, Anne and her family went into hiding and lived secretly in her father's office building in the Netherlands. While living in the “Annex,” a secret hiding place, she developed many interests such as reading and writing. Anne is famous because she is one of the best-known victims of the Holocaust, her story has been shared with millions in a publication of her diary, and through her writing’s she introduces many people to the massacre and its horror.
It is just one of many stories of ordinary people taking the heroic call for action upon themselves. For example, Anne Frank was a young Jewish girl whose family was hidden for years in the annex f oan office building with the help of the family's friends and coworkers. Many Jewish people’s choice Anne Frank and her family had little choice about their lives simply because they were Jewish. Anne Frank’s family was forced into hiding to avoid being sent into concentration camp and to avoid Anti-Semitic practices. Members of the Assisi Network believed that all refugees should have a choice: in what religion they practiced, to not be discriminated against, to have a life and personality outside of their race and religion. Gertruda Babilins was the nanny of a rich Jewish family and saved the boy who had she cared for when the war began. She worked very hard to give him a good childhood because she thought that the Nazis had robbed him of that. Gertruda wanted Mickey to practice Judaism even though she was a Catholic and he was immersed in Catholic culture. Even though it was hard for her to pay for his Jewish schooling. Just like those of the Assisi network allowed the people they rescued to practice Judaism even though it made the hiding process more

Finally, I will discuss if partisanship made a difference in the vote, as well as if a judge should be decided by partisan vote. In the next couple paragraphs I will talk more specifically about these topics.
Texas has a controversial way of electing its judges. When Texas became a state in 1845, judges were appointed by the governor with Senate consent, but since 1876, judges at all levels of courts have been elected by the people in partisan elections. The main problem with this system is partisan elections lead to more campaign contributions and increased partisanship among judge which hinders fair and independent judiciary system.

The Liberal Party's membership of Canada is committed to the fundamentals that have developed and sustained the Liberal Party from any other political party; individual freedom, responsibility and human dignity in the framework of a just society; political freedom in the framework of meaningful participation by all interested persons, and the Constitution and the Charter of Rights and Freedoms provides the framework for both a democratic society and for the interaction of members within the party. A large sacrifice that she makes is the surrender of a “normal” American life that includes health and comfort. This surrender illustrates how Leah values her political activism over the comfort of an ill-intentioned capitalistic country. She sees her work with the African people and making
The Republican Party seems to be increasing the gap between rich and poor, discriminating against others, pursuing self-interest over the common good and just downright corrupt.
Claire McCaskill, the first women Senator for the State of Missouri was elected in 2006. Senator McCaskill politically identifies with the Democrat Party (“About Claire,” n.d.).
Since the early start of the United States, there has always been the Democratic and Republican parties as majority leaders that represented our people’s nation. Due to the questionable leadership of our major parties, a growing trend of independent groups began to develop over the last several years. Many conservative Americans today do not feel that their Republican party is representing what they believe how America’s government should be run. Between fraud, scandals and Republican leaders poorly representing their supporters within the senate and the house of representatives many Americans have lost faith in their party. Since Donald Trump has become our president a growing trend of conservatives working class called the “Populists” party
From the election of our third president Thomas Jefferson to the election of Honest Abe, the life between the North and the South differed tremendously. These disagreements resulted in tension between the two. Although they attempted to create togetherness with the Missouri Compromise, politically the Northern republicans who were for free states had difficulty agreeing with slave state ideas with the democratic southerners, economic wealth for the North was gained from manufacturing while the South’s wealth came from the manual labor of slaves, and socially North was positioned to abolish slavery but not segregation even though the South wanted both. These sentiments from both sides resulted in the beginnings of
George, unlike the reader however, is unaware of Editha’s dishonest reasons for her support of the war and ignorantly goes off to war with the innocent belief that his girlfriend actually cares about the outcome of the war itself and not that it might potentially shape him into the man she secretly wishes he was. Howell’s use of Editha and her deceitful motives for supporting the war add a layer of realism to the story, as peoples’ motives in real life are not always pure.
The influences of war and family are important factors in the changing role that faced women as portrayed in Rita Cosby’s, Quiet Hero. In the past, women often times had little influence in society; however, women's impact changed drastically during World War 2. At this time, women pushed their stereotypical boundaries and positively impacted the outcome of WW2. During the Warsaw Resistance, women were a key component in aiding men on the battlefield. Women many times fought by the side of men, serving as messengers carrying important information, and also carried out medical duties .
In contemporary times, America represents the pinnacle of national power. It exhibits unparalleled global influence, holds the most powerful military forces, is the site of major technological innovations, and contains a wildly glamorous entertainment industry. Quite simply, the United States is the most powerful nation on Earth, and commanding it, is the president. Not only does that individual control much affluence, weaponry, or media outlets, they are quite literally the most important human being on Earth. Thus, the vote of the general electorate in an American election holds notable significance. Directed by Mike Nichols, the film “Primary Colors” depicts the infidel, corrupted, and slanderous disparage existing
