Ever since I was little I’ve had a thing for cars. I began watching the fast and the furious. I saw a man named “Brian” or Paul Walker. Paul Walker had a Nissan R-34. One thing that isn’t about cars that I noticed is Paul Walker didn’t have friends but he had family. That means alot to me because I would rather want a family that I know will always be there for me. Friends don’t always stay. Paul Walker says a lot of amazing things that can put a positive influence in people’s life. I do know a little bit about Paul Walker. I knew Paul Walker was an actor, that’s how I found out who he was. I also knew he was in the fast and the furious series. I did know he was in a movie called “The Brick Mansion” but I’ve never seen it. Paul
Kevin Gates is an inspirational speaker and pushes people to push them self. “Love the people god gave you because he will need them back someday.” Is what he is saying in this quote is don't spend so much time on not liking people and just enjoy life and don't fight with others. “Don't lose your mind trying to wait for people to come to their senses.” In this quote Kevin is saying don't tear yourself down when people don't talk to you or contact you.
Krakauer admits that Chris McCandless was a rash, but he insists he "wasn't a nutcase, he wasn’t a sociopath, he wasn’t an outcast. McCandless was something else-- although precisely what is hard to say. A pilgrim, perhaps" (85). Many thought McCandless was wise and he knew what he was dong, while others disagree, stating his poor decisions contributed to his own death. In my opinion, Chris was indeed wise- he was a young man who didn’t care about labels, brands, big things, or anything materialistic. Instead, he thrived on more important concepts of life like truth and freedom. He believed he would find his true self and relieved of society once he became one with the wild.
What if your best friend went on an adventure. They had everything they had ever wanted. They didn't tell you or their family where they were going or how long they would be gone. They just picked up and left. Would you respect their decision to not tell anyone their plans? Would you think that this was a good idea of theirs, or would you think that this was a stupid decision on their part? Well this is what Christopher McCandless did. In 1968 McCandless was born. He was born to a good, wealthy, and happy family. He had everything any child could ever wish for. He was smart, athletic, and had a good education. In June 1990 he completed collage. In July of 1990 Christopher McCandless left his family and almost all belongings, and didn't tell anyone where he was going, or how long he'd be gone. Three years later McCandless was found dead in a blue bus located in Alaska. He had died of starvation. He went off and, ¨lived his life.¨ McCandless went out and lived in the wild. While Christopher McCandless died peacefully, the question has arose on whether McCandless was a noble adventurer or an arrogant fool. The evidence from many stories and social media clearly states that McCandless was in fact an arrogant fool. Christopher McCandless was an arrogant fool because he was not prepared, he
When you see yourself living out your dream, the thought of what you're most passionate about pulls you in. Passions in one's life change based on what had affected that person. Dreams are defined to change. However, the benefits of these thoughts is that they belong to you and only you. Not one person's opinions matter but your own. Chris McCandless simply was living out his own ideal life, the way he wanted; not to the idea of his parents, his friends or of society. McCandless wanted to escape society and civilization which he felt was tying him down, while also trying to discover himself. McCandless is not by any means a wacko. He was simply defying society and its ideal expectation it holds upon us as a whole.
At one point, country music singer Randy Travis looked like he wouldn't make it very much longer. Now it turns out that Randy is singing once again and the fans couldn't be happier to see him on the stage. A huge contributor to the big offense of day was Mr. reliable tight end Greg Olsen who had eight catches for a career-high 134 yards and two touchdowns! He took the Saints defense to school specifically cornerback Brandon Browner running right past him for a 52 yard chunk play that sparked the offense! The Saints left him wide open on many plays all I can say is thank you much appreciated! I continued to say this he is one of the best tight ends in the league;he is the veteran presence this offense needs with all the young players and Sunday his play seemed to rub off on the other receivers and opening up other big plays for the offense great execution all around and once again thank you to the Chicago Bears for giving us Greg Olsen!
On March 6, 1857 the U.S. Supreme Court rule against Dred Scott who was suing for federal citizenship. All nine justices agreed that African Americans who descended from slaves could not enjoy the political community established by the constitution or have the right to federal citizenship. Majority of the justices also agreed that the Missouri Compromise of 1820 which forbid slavery in the part of the Louisiana Purchase north of 36°30′ latitude was unconstitutional. Chief justice Taney stated that individual states may grant citizenship to African Americans but that did not extend their citizenship nationally under the provisions of the Constitution. Taney declared that Scott could not sue in the United States Courts since the courts were reserved
When Christopher was eight years old, he didn’t know that he would be attacked and be scarred for life in less than a day. Christopher arrived at his friend's house. His friend told him to hold a stick and say fetch to the husky. Before Christopher could even throw the stick the dog viciously attacked him. His friend ran to get help. After that Chris had to have 1000 Stitches. Chris had very bad nightmares about the dog attacking him. That dog scarred him for a very long time. To this day he still has nightmares about that dog. There was more to come after this event.

There had always been differences between the northern states and southern states before nullification and secession. This came down to differences in the core drivers of their economies. The south was more oriented towards Agriculture while the north was driven by industrialization. What this meant was that the south was more reserved on the consistent calls by abolitionists in the north. Abolition of slave trade would mean an almost complete collapse of the economy in the South.
I will be writing about Wesley Snipes who is an American actor. Mr. Snipes took the advice of his accountant not to file tax returns, or pay taxes on his income. The IRS tried to get him convicted on several felony tax fraud charges. They were reduced to misdemeanors that carried a mandatory 3-year jail sentence. He went to jail in December of 2010 at McKean Federal Correctional Institution. Mr. Snipes finished his time at a minimum security prison and was released early in April 2013. I do feel that he was treated the same as any other offender. He did not pay his taxes for 10 years, and the IRS went after him as they would anyone who didn’t pay their taxes. The IRS does not mess around, if you owe them, they will come after you and
There are a lot of candidates running for president; however the most important person is Bernie Sanders. Bernie Sanders may be a socialist, however Sanders does want to focus on the future for kids of the generation now. People saw more viewpoints from the Republican candidates compared to the Democratic candidates. Bernie is trying to provide $18 billion to allow colleges to be able to cut tuition by 55%. Sanders is allowing anyone with student loans with a lower rate to pay them off.
Sometimes billy gets quite upset because he knows he is not a tomato like everybody else and even gets bullied for being different
My position on this issue is, what I am guessing, different from most. I acknowledge that cross racial/ethnic representation in the past has caused social complications, especially for minorities. Historical ‘blackface’ discussed in the module 8 eText was meant to perpetuate stereotypes of African American men as either docile, loyal slaves or violent, animalistic thugs. I do not think anybody would find that practice in the slightest bit appropriate in today’s era.
We live in a technology driven world, almost everyone own a smartphone today. Uber and its competitors are allowing us to use an app on our smartphone to call for a cab. When a rider request a ride, the app gives you an estimated time of when the driver will arrive. It also calculates the fare and take the money out of your account. Whoever came up with the Uber idea is genius. Uber is beneficial to both the riders and the drivers. Uber created jobs for a lot of individuals, also for people who has a job but want to make extra money can drive Uber. The riders get high quality service for a fair price. In addition, the Uber app is easy to use and to understand. Increasing the amount of cars on the road results in faster pickup time which is
