Imagine a Panzer tank rumbling down a small town on a dirt road. Thousands, and thousands of troops from all across the world, with bullets flying by. Planes dropping bombs, destroying streets, buildings, houses, and even killing innocent people. Imagine being asleep and being attacked by surprise, some of you're friends killed and others badly injured. Schools where moved to the country instead of the city, because it was safer. World War II involved almost every part of the world, during the years 1939 through 1945. It was called Pearl Harbor in Hawaii, and they where attacked on December 7, 1941. The Attack severely damaged the United States Navy fleet, but not for long. After the attack the United States declared war on Japan, so Germany declared war on the United States in return. (Pearl) The Attack on Pearl Harbor started around 8:00 a.m. Hundreds of Japanese fighter jets attack the American Navel Base. The surprise attack lasted only two hours, but it was devastating. The Japanese where able to destroy 20 American Navel Vessels, and almost 200 airplanes and fighter jets. The germans had and issue going after Great Britain, Great Britain’s Army had a great defense system. When Adolf Hitler planned to send a fleet of fighter planes to Britain, the British found out and had a plan to stop them. Great Britain’s plan was to be prepared to fight in the sky. So when the German Luftwaffe came to attack the British Royal Air Force was already there to fight them. After many years of World War II the United States Navy was in need of more soldiers/sailors so finally after all the years of hard work the black sailors where treated as actual sailors. Some of the sailors where in the Army, Navy, or Air force sense they where eighteen. To register for the Army, Navy, or Air force you had to be at least eighteen through the age of thirty-eighteen before World War II. The main focus on this essay is “Why Did Japan Attack Pearl Harbor?”. On a normal Sunday morning when the American navy units were busy doing their normal routine work, the Japanese navy planned a surprise attack that stunned the world. This attack was so unpredictable that the entire American navy went in deep shock. Very few of them realized the need to manage and control their position to save the naval power. All the staff and ships that were present at the Pearl Harbor suffered massive loss. Just a couple of hours of bombing gave the Pearl Harbor, a battlefield view with fire and smoke emerging from every corner. The attack left American navy at a loss of 2400 of her best men as well as 21 ships that were either sunk or completely demolished.
