The set of values, conventions or social practices associated with a particular field, activity or societal characteristic.” Of these four definitions, I shall be focusing on the second one to discuss what makes up the culture of American Indians. The culture of the various tribes that made up the Native Americans is one of close knit families, highlyspiritual peoples and living together as one with the land they lived on. They believed in spirits, worshiping and honoring them. Some settled into single locations while others were nomadic, but all had a focus on working with the land around them. Because there are so many varying tribes that make up Native
American culture encompasses customs or traditions in the United States. Customs or traditions include, but would not be limited to, values, language, religion, or how we communicate. The population in the United States is over 325 million, (United States Census Bureau, (n.d.) and is built on immigration. In comparison to other countries, the United States is considered cultural, as most nations unite, and later mix, their culture into American culture.

Cultural diversity is very important for every ethnic group as it shapes the culture of that particular group and therefore, certain cultures cannot realize their own values and beliefs until it has been exposed to another one.
Culture is the sum of knowledge, attitude, and behaviors shared on or passed on by members of a specific group. This includes human work and train of thought. It’s like a blueprint or rule of how the group of people should behave if they want to fit into a group. It can form us into one group that’s separate from the other groups. Culture involves food, shelter, religions, relationships, language, knowledge, security, social organization, and creative expressionism. A society is a group who basically have nearly the same identity. The term ethnic group is often used to a group that shares mostly was a culture really is. Culture and societies are mostly changing, whether it be at a slow or fast pace. There are about three different types of change or way of change can spread, particularly with innovation, diffusion and its cultural hearth, and acculturation. Language being spread by diffusion ways can establish a cultural identity. Languages identity or culture can lead to the language having to be categorized and making a language family. As languages spread around the world so did religion. Religion consist of a belief in a supernatural power or powers that are regarded as the creators and maintainers of the universe. Our culture is always an interesting topic to talk about with friends, family, and even the random person you run into on the bus. With how to world is today our culture is like a big melting pot and as you grow and get married the pot continues to grow as you add more and more different ingredients into it. We tend to think that culture is just our ethnicity of what we have in our DNA, but in all reality it is way more than just our DNA. Culture is a makeup of many different aspects ranging from the language you speak, to the religion you follow, and the values your parents have installed in you from the values that were installed in them from their parents, and everything in between. There are many different ways we can go about in
The American culture is a wide variety of things. This is caused from immigration. Some of the things we do to celebrate holidays and important days are similar though. Many people celebrate Independence Day by lighting off fireworks, and eating red-white-and-blue foods and decorating with flags. On Easter many families believe the Easter bunny comes, and on Christmas Santa Claus does. Also many people eat turkey on thanksgiving.
"The Center for Advance Research on Language Acquisition goes a step further, defining culture as shared patterns of behaviors and interactions, cognitive constructs and understanding that are learned by socialization" (Zimmermann 1). This statement in summary is saying that culture is the way a group of people act due to the society they are in. In the research I have done on different cultures I'd have to say that I'm more influenced by Native American culture. Native stories that I look forward to when I gather with my family, the delicacies that no one cooks quite like my grandma, and the huge celebrations we have that they really immerses me in the culture.
What is my culture? This is one of the most difficult questions that I have had to answer. To me, my culture comes from where I was raised, and where I am from. I am an American. I was born and raised in Pennsylvania. My ancestors are from Germany, Hungry, and Ireland. My culture has been built around my family. My family has helped me identify my beliefs and traditions through teaching me what our ancestors have believed.
American culture is a mix of different cultures which exist in the one cultural space and what is more important all these cultures cooperate and this cooperation formed the new and unique cultural phenomenon. It is important to understand that the process of ethnogenesis is impacted by many factors, and one of the aspects which helps the group of people to identify themselves as the ethnicity is the culture. the American nation is unique as it was formed by representatives of different cultures, but they were united by the same idea, and it allowed them to live and to cooperate in the unique cultural space, and not only to create the new culture but to save the original cultures of the countries
What exactly is American culture? American culture is seen as a melting pot that contains many different ethnicities that practice their own religious, political and self-identity standpoint in the United States. Since the American culture is identified as a melting pot, American culture is not made up of one single culture; instead, it is the combination of different cultures to form a new culture that they call their own. For example, a neighbor is planning to throw a Quinceañera for their daughter and they invite the whole neighborhood. Some of the neighbors that attend the Quinceañera have never experienced a Méxican style Qeinceañera before. Although there is a collection of ways to experience and come across other cultures, there are three main experiences and encounters that I wish to tell and Intel. The three main experiences of American culture that could encounter with other cultures are religious beliefs and practices, core values, and historical rituals, songs, dances, holidays, etc.
Culture is a way of life shared by people in a society. Culture is exceptional, although it may have other things in common with other cultures. According to American Culture, “Culture encompasses religion, food, what we wear, how we wear it, our language, marriage, music, what we believe is right or wrong, how we sit at the table, how we greet visitors, how we behave with loved ones, and a million other things," said Cristina De Rossi, an anthropologist at Barnet and Southgate College in London. The United States is one of the most culturally diverse countries in the world. According to People & Culture, within its vast area, Nigeria has over 250 different ethnic groups, all with their own languages and heritage. Cultures are made and followed according to the society or family one comes from or was born in.
