I am a musician at heart and always will be. I keep my life interesting and full of entertaining activities. What I have done up to this point in my life has prepared me for whatever may come my way.
I love music and have always been involved in various musical activities. I started band in fifth grade and have been to over ten honor bands in my middle and high school career, learning skills each time I went. I am on the Color Guard team, captain of the team for three years and writting the routines for two years. I have been in choir for two years and have participated in three honor choirs. I also take solos to contest, competing at state with my clarinet solos twice and receiving a one and a two; performing in Regionals with my choir solos and receiving twos each time. I have received the director’s award in band for demonstrating leadership skills in and out of class. Last year a clarinet choir was created in which I participated with other class members and received a two at Regionals and performed at a concert for the school. …show more content…

I have been an active member in Family Career and Community Leaders of America for three years: one year as a member, the next as secretary, and the last as president. One organization that is involved with FCCLA is Big Brothers Big Sisters, where I was given the chance to mentor two “littles” in my time there. I was able to help other people through my church by helping with the opening ceremonies of special Olympics and other subtle service projects that benefit others. These organizations have taught me many lessons, and each hold a special place in my heart. I hope to take the skills I have learned from these many activities and apply them to whatever I end up doing with my
