Once upon a time, on a small town called Smallville, there was a boy named Ej. He was just a normal boy that went to school, hung out in his barn to think and looked on his telescope to look up at stars. One night outside of his house, he lays down on the wide open field with the grass swaying with the wind. He looks up to the stars and says to himself "What if I could make the world a better place?" Right after he says that, he sees a rapid, giant red ball coming down from the sky. He was too mesmerized to move. It came closer and closer to him until it finally hit him. Everything went black.
After that, he woke up in his bed thinking it was all a bizarre dream and continues on like it was a normal day, doing his chores and going to school. Ej felt extremely bold that day and went to go talk to his childhood Lana, whom he found attractive and have liked since the day they met, and asks her if she wanted to go out on a date with him tomorrow after school. Lana is shocked and blushes as she murmurs a quiet yes with a bright smile on her face and walks away shyly.

One of them yells “Look, it’s Farmboy Cruz!" at his friends then throws a football aiming for Ej. To Ej’s surprise, he actually caught the ball which he found very strange because he was never the athletic type. He drops the football and runs the long way home, away from his
I arrived at practice with my shoes laced, hair pulled back, and the mindset that I was unstoppable. I could play against every member of my team and come out the victor on any given day. It was the first day of practice that week, and challenge matches were scheduled to begin. The team went through our daily shuffle of drills, conditioning, and running to prepare for what was lying ahead. While warming up with my friends, I felt great, talking about homecoming, boys, and a variety of irrelevant events. I felt ready. The odds were in my favor and nobody could stop me.
Later that evening, Cruz’s cousin is shot dead. Cruz then ends up at Carter’s doorstop, hysterically begging to be allowed back into the team. The school committee board then assembles to discuss about the situation, and eventually decided to open up the gym again. Due to the open up, Carter then decides to quit his job. Carter found his players in the gym while leaving and instead of playing basketball, they were studying and working to bring their grades back up.
I caused Greg to break his hand without any remorse at the time. Greg was a high school acquaintance who tended to bully me. He was significantly taller, stronger and more athletic; therefore physically bullying me wasn’t much effort for him. When I heard he was coming to work at the warehouse, I wasn’t particularly happy about it. The warehouse contained boxes from multiple suppliers. Some were really thick and some were really thin. They all contained books, though some were heavy text books while others were light weight paper backs. All workers with experience knew which boxes were heavy, which had thick soft cardboard as a box, and which were encased in thin cardboard. I waited until Greg stopped by with his working partner for
The training ground was outside and depending on what we needed it for was able to instantly change its terrain. I walked over to a nearby basket and pulled out an old wooden bow and a quiver full of arrows.
I was sitting in one of my friend’s basement, talking, laughing and messing around like we normally do. Because the July heat was almost unbearable, we are all going to the beach later. My friends and I do a lot together and we have been a group since about 5th grade. Also my family and I share everything with each other, and we really like each other unlike some families who hardly tolerate each other. I have lived a pretty good life so far. I get good grades during the school year. There is also a chance that I will play college basketball after my last two years of high school. My life is heading in a good direction, and the whole world seems on my side. Then I get the phone call and know that something is wrong and that my life was about
This story is going to be about this one halloween and it was truly terrifying for me at least. This will take place when i was about nine years old and the year was 2014. It started out as every day and it was like any normal day and it was halloween and i had to go to school so here was this big party at the end of the day and we were going to have a 5 day weekend. So everybody was excited and it was party time there was a big school party then there was a classroom party. We were just waiting for recess so that the party would start cause they scheduled the party after recess and lunch. It was only twenty minutes after rescues and our teacher took 18 minutes to take us back inside.
I remember when I was a little girl so innocent and carefree, everything was just so enjoyable. going to the lake the smell of the fresh clean air, the sight of clear flowing water and the laughter of my sisters and I. I was the youngest of three sisters (no brothers). my sisters always protected me and always showed me how much they loved me. well we all grow up as a child you have no worries and no clue of the realities of life ahead until we are "Grown" .
It is a warm May night, and I couldn't be any happier. I am sitting in the middle of the Gwinnett Arena anxiously waiting to hear my name. "Look someone is waving the Mexican flag up there," the guy next to me said as he points to the audience. I turn around to see, and realize it's my family. I wasn't embarrassed at all. Actually, I was happy to see the excitement on their face. They call my name, and I go up to get my diploma. "WOW! I MADE IT," I think to myself. I immidiately wave my diploma at them and they wave the Mexican flag even harder. After the ceremony was over, we had over 500 seniors trying to find their families, it was total chaos. I didn't have a way to contact my family since we weren't allowed to have phones with us during
G sharp, C sharp, E natural. Finger 5, 1, 2, and 5 again. And then F sharp, and then…yes, I finally got it! I think to myself as I do a fist pump into the air. I had perfected a part of a piece I was playing that I had been struggling with for the longest time. My left hand was already tired from hammering away at the piano keys for what seemed like hours. I turned the pages back to the beginning of the song and played through the whole song. I was finally ready perform it at the recital.
I went to 6 flags for my 13 birthday I was so happy and excited. I went with my mom and my cousin Mikaela. When we first got there we stayed at this amazing hotel that had two bedrooms. One for my mom and one for me and my cousin to share. You could see the beach right out the bedroom window.
I stare at the TV with incomplete fascination, my pencil tightly gripped in between my fingers.
Starts in the morning i step out of my car and it is pitch dark and eerie quiet, its early morning the day after a tragic football game and everyone is tired and anticipating the meet ahead. We all sit muming with each other and feeling at perfect temperature. When i hear the push, hum of the bus arriving up the drive. Everyone is ready just to get on the bus to sleep. On the bus i can't get to sleep because i'm sharing my seat with a girl and the bus driver doesn't stop talking. We show up at the meet and i'm waiting for the tent to get set up so i can put my bag down. My shoulder was aching and the grass was scratching my leg. During the warm up i'm excited because two male teammates run with us. And one smells good. At the beginning of the
There was a guy that everyone knew and one stormy day he got taken from the world and everybody was gon like a tornado they didn't know what to do with out him they all got taken by the wind of the tornado and saw a glimpse of him and they were happy but that was just a cloud that look like him now there all in a better place because because they are gone like a tornado
On a drizzly Sunday evening my first summer in New York City, I was walking in Chelsea when a man rode up beside me on a bike. I really don’t want to bother you, he began, a baleful look in his brown eyes, but this ridiculous thing just happened to me. He explained that the costumes he had designed for a Broadway show had accidentally been locked in his apartment, and he had lost his keys. He just needed to borrow a little money so he could get in touch with his assistants and sort the whole thing out.
My release was under the cover of night in the empty parking lot of an abandoned business. When my blindfold was taken off, I saw June’s car already waiting for me in the lot. As the men who released me climbed back into their van, the last one on board pointed an outstretched finger and said, “Twenty miles, east,” after that I was alone in the pitch black.
