Monday – Wednesday I went to the mall to buy butter and sea salt, but I kept forgetting why I went there in the first place and ended up buying a whole lot other stuff on sale or special offers. I finally wrote what I wanted to buy on a piece of paper, so that when I went back again on Thursday it would by easy to stay focused on the products I needed. Instead of buying just salt and butter, I ended up buying meat and chicken as well even it I didn’t need it. I also went to the pharmacy to buy some new lipstick I saw on a television ad. Yes marketers played a major in most of the purchasing decisions I made this week enabling my purchasing power for much longer than I probably realized. I have also been helped to develop a systematic way
Adhering to my health behavior change ended up being much more difficult than I thought it would end up being. I wanted to change my behavioral by going to the gym more often, more than three hours a week, and on a weekly basis. In the first week, I started off poorly and did not end up going to the gym once. The second week of my plan is when I was finally started to go to the gym and taking my plan seriously. I was available to meet my goal and spent three and a half hours at the gym that week. By week three, I only went for 2 hours that week at the gym.
The first two weeks that I began tracking my spending had very different beginnings and endings. In "Week 1", I did not have a lot of money to spend, so I obviously used my money very sparingly; I spent most of the money on necessities. The reason that I did not have a lot of money that week is because it had almost been two weeks since I had been paid, and I had spent most of my pay check in those previous weeks. So, I ended that week with less than six dollars and pretty much nothing to put into savings. This situation happens to me almost every pay check and it never really phased me until I started putting it on the Excel spread sheet and put a zero dollars in the "Amount to be saved" space. In "Week 2", I wanted to have an amount to
From the moment I was able to tie my shoes and button my jacket, I knew I wanted to be a doctor. While all my classmates at the La Petite Academy made macaroni trees and smiley faces, I drew myself with a stethoscope curing a poor man with the cold. Every year in elementary school, we had career day. Never straying from my love to helping others I wanted to be a surgeon one year, to a dentist the next, and even an obstetrician, I changed my mind quickly once I found out what they did. Looking back on my childhood, I always had a connection with animals and always loved being around them. Early mornings I would open our nearly frozen-shut windows listening to the birds calling. Beside from the squawking of the crows, I heard a soft, pleasant yet curious bird call. It stuck out to me
I came into your store today at around 5:30 pm. I had purchased a t.v from the electronics department, for $800.00. When I got home I noticed as soon as I took it out of the box, the base of the t.v was scratched. It wasn’t scratched badly enough for me to want to take it back, until I plugged it in and the screen was broken. I immediately called Walmart and the manager of the electronics department, and he told me it was nothing he was able to do. I couldn’t get my money back or even a new t.v to replace it. I wanted to contact you personally to see if there was anything we can set up seeing how I bought a $800.00 t.v from your store that was broke. Thanks for your time.
By the time I reached Kindergarten and started my middle childhood years I already possessed several gross and fine motor skills. A few of these gross motor skills which I possessed were the ability to catch a ball, climb a flight of stairs without help, and the ability to stand on one foot for a given amount of time. A few of my fine motor skills were the ability to draw shapes, cut on a straight line, and to color within the designated lines. Upon entering Kindergarten I had an accident where I cut off the tip of my right index finger. I had to keep my finger bandaged for the first nine weeks of Kindergarten therefore it delayed a few of my fine motor skills. By the end of Kindergarten and the beginning of my 1st grade year I learned fine
If I won a shopping spree for Best Buy, then I would buy a computer, chair, phone, fridge, and a laptop.
This is my first online class. I will be graduating next fall with my associates in Human Services. I have enjoyed all of my classes over the last couple of years, except Math. I am not a great Math student.
I am an individual with very little patience who tends to be unnecessarily explosive when encountering frustrating situations. Tracking my behavior gave me the opportunity to note how easily it is for me to become upset, angry, or even become aggressive. When I am upset, I tend to make decision I regret once I have calmed down. For example, yelling at a friend and saying things I do not mean during an argument. While looking at my log, I also able to notice that I usually get upset during the morning when I am still tired, and sleepy. In a way, this can be understood considering I am not a morning person.
Before reading this chapter, my views on conflict were to avoid it at all costs. I absolutely hate conflict. I am a people pleaser so I try to make everyone as happy as possible. I will usually agree to disagree. I am docile by nature and will also usually just say I don't know enough information about the topic to take a middle ground and cause a neutral reaction to those around me. However, if I am passionate about the topic at hand or someone offends me deeply, I will put my word in. I will agree with them and try not to get angry, although I don't always succeed. I pull in outside information and try to be as persuasive as humanly possible. I can usually shrug off a good argument after I calm down for a while, but because I am also competitive,
I lost a job and did not find another one for several months. Once I did and tried to come back I was in 2 different car wrecks with the injuries and pain I was in there was no way I would have been able to complete successfully any of my classes or have them done in a timely fashion the concussion I suffered prevented me from remembering a lot of the time as well as the pain medications in which I was placed on. I tried again once I felt fine enough to go back and then I had health issues which required me to go in for surgery not once but twice. During that time I was not able to complete the classes as well in a timely fashion not only could I not lift my arms above my head but I needed help to assist me to be able to move about and therapy
As well as there is the other sentence in this article said, “They undoubtedly saw rainbow patterns in the misty spray, but were convinced they had discovered a fairy grotto.” I would like to visit South Island and Milford Sound again as last time I did not see a rainbow. I would imagine that I rotate my neck to see the rainbow, it would be as a heaven, discovered a fairy grotto. Event though, “Jessie explains that Milford Sound is actually a fiord, carved out by a glacier and then flooded by the sea, whereas a sound is a flooded river valley.” For my opinion, it seems that Milford Sound is just a fiord rather than a sound. However, it is still the most experienced traveller, which means you won’t regret to travel under the one of the most
Many times throughout my life, I have needed advice from somebody. There are times when I am in a certain situation that I do not know how to handle, and therefore I seek help from people that I look up to. I have been given many pieces of advice that were brilliant ideas and that helped me solve a problem or deal with an issue that was burdening me. One particular piece of advice that I was given was undoubtedly the most important to me and it continually helps me through predicaments that I encounter.
After I noticed that this wasn’t just a theory, I started to become more aware of it. Every time I felt the need to click “Add to cart” on “Forever 21”, I stopped and asked myself I truly needed that new dress or was it because I simply had matching nude heels. In addition to this I started thinking about whether I was buying something to conform to new trends, for status value or did I truly need the product. I was faced with this dilemma when I was at the adidas store in the process of buying the new “Superstars”, plain white, expensive shoes that everyone on campus was wearing. I gave in and spent that extra amount of money for no reason, I already
Remember, the perpetrator can create multiple diseases simultaneously to make the victim restless, angry, and loose cool. But I suffered through all these calmly; I know this is the only way to win. Winning is important because I take this as a game, and If I fail, then disappointed and angry. I am not expecting to win all the time, I am aware. Finally, I have to surrender. Now I am on the verge of defeat.
I have decided to buy a computer that is capable of playing the newest generation of games coming out. This automatically rules out netbooks because of their low specs and cheap hardware they would never be able to run any of the games I want to play. I would like my Operating System to be Windows 10 because more games are made for Windows than mac or linux and I would like to be able to choose from the greatest selection. I want an I7 CPU and at least 26 gigabyes of RAM so that my computer can be quick enough to handle the new games.I would also like for the computer to run 3D modeling software like maya or blender. I want at least 1 Terabyte of permanent storage so all of my music and games can all be stored on one hard drive so that I wont
