As mentioned before cats do not require cleaning nor exercising or training, while dogs are in need of all these things. Cats can lick themselves clean, and they make little to no messes whereas dogs slobber everywhere and need to be given a bath. Dogs also take forever to train and have a shorter life expectancy than cats while cats take less time to train and will be around longer. Wouldn’t you rather spend less time training your animal and have more time with them? Not to mention, dogs can be a pain to take on walks, but cats use the litter box without any assistance. Dogs are also a lot louder than cats and definitely more frightening. More people are scared of stray dogs than of stray cats. Do you really want a dog that will be loud and obnoxious and scare off your guests? With all these reasons it’s hard to deny that cats are tremendously better than dogs.

Owning an animal can take up a lot of time. For most people time is of the essence, and spending a lot of time on an animal is unrealistic . Cats are able to live without their owners for days on end. They can usually find something to eat, and pee if plants for example. But dogs need to be put in kennels and looked after by another person. Dogs also have to be put on leashes when they are outside. Cats have the ability to roam freely because their owners do not have to worry about them causing a lot of trouble. A cat is allowed to be outside until late hours because owners know that the feline will make its way home, where as a dog at night is usually brought inside, or chained up outside.

I have heard the old saying that dogs are man’s best friend. I don’t know much about dogs, but I do know a lot about cats. I have had a cat as a pet for at least 30 years. They are wonderful and I know I will always have one in my life. I think cats make the perfect pet because they are self sufficient, intelligent, and good companions.

I'm going insane, I can tell. I blink and I see flashes of things that never happened, faces of people that I've never met, and colors. Always colors. Maybe it's the dehydration. They only give me enough water to stay alive, nothing more. As for food, I'm steadily losing weight. I'm all skin and bones, and colors.

I latched onto the two blue ropes above me. I hoisted myself up and balanced myself on the corner of the twine. He scaled up the outside of the rope obstacle until he finally reached my level. I quickly grabbed for the next rope square, and leaped through the top. One last push, and I finally landed on the metal platform. I made it.

The bright streetlights cast a yellow pool of light over the snow bitten streets as the gentle ice capped rivers flowed through the landscape of wales, carrying December memories of laughter and song in the rippled blue. Excitement and joy spread through the town like a wildfire as I put my head against the window, watching absent mildly as the snow obliquely fell to the floor.

A Color Coordinated mess. It’s funny since the fifth grade I've had my life laid out with a mission each day waiting to be fulfilled. But I’ve learned that nothing in life is one-sided and I’m not the exception. I’m what you would consider organized chaos. I have my life mapped out and my calendar booked months in advance and at the same time I can't decide what I want for dinner. I personally believe that dogs are better than cats because dogs are sometimes more nice and because they aren’t always as harmful as cats. There are some people that likes dogs more than others like cats and then there’s the opposite where people like cats more than others like dogs. Dogs help you make friends and their hair/fur is soft and smooth. Cats, Sometimes make your friends run away because they think that the cat might scratch them. Dogs also make you laugh more than cats do sometimes. Cats sometimes make u more scared of them than making you laugh.

Did you know that more people in the United States have a pet cat than a dog? According to 2015-2016 APPA survey, there is an estimated 85.8 million pet cats compared to the estimated amount of 77.8 million pet dogs in America. There are around 8 million more cat pets than dogs. I don’t think this is a coincidence. Even though both cats and dogs are well-known for their ability to make their owners happier through various methods, such as reducing stress and helping to develop healthier habits and lifestyles, America still favors cats. Cats make better pets than dogs and in this essay I’ll show you why cats are the better pets.

Having a pet is a wonderful idea. Pets bring companionship, personality, and gut wrenching humor to households across the world. Having previously owned both a cat and a dog, and currently being without a pet, I began to think about getting a new furry friend.
