Personal Narrative Essay : A Day In My School

Barry couldn't believe that it was morning already, he went to sleep at 1 a.m because he stayed up binge watching his favorite show.“Barry wake up, it's 7:30!” Diana yelled as she rushed into her son's room. “Mom! Why didn't you wake me up earlier?, it's the first day of school!” was what came out Barry’s mouth although he knew that it was his fault like always. Barry stared at his alarm clock, which was completely silent, no noise or numbers reflecting off the screen to let Barry know that it was time to get ready for his first day of middle school. The day brightened considerably, the shadows were stretching in the opposite direction from what Barry had seen yesterday in his first day in New York. His father, Daniel, and Diana rush into the car since it was Daniel’s first day as well, at his new job in the famous World Trade Center. "Ready for your big day today champ?”, Barry didn't answer because of the memories that rushed through his brain of all his friends, teachers, and his grandpa.

I walked away feeling like I was a complete failure and that I didn’t deserve to go on. On the way home my mother tried to talk to me, but, I put on my headphones and cried silently. Once we were home my father asked how it went. The tears that were in my eyes and they became more evident as my shoulders and chest were shaking and trembling. The only sound in the room was the sound of me crying and wailing. I started crumbling and falling to the ground and my mother and father rushed to my side. They held me until the tears came to a stop and a little bit afterwards

My life flipped for the better once I left the 8th grade, it was finally summer time and I was ready for it. But deep down I knew once summer was over high school here I come. I won't even lie, I was terrified to start as a freshman in high school. All of the rumors that I heard with baby freshman day, and all the stuff they do to freshmens on the first day of school. To be honest I was really nervous, instead of a couple butterflies in my stomach I had the whole family flying around. But once the first day of high school came up all those rumors that everyone was telling me was actually a lie. High school wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. As my freshman year went on a lot of doors opened up for me, there were sports, clubs, new people to me, everything you could possible think of. I didn't really get into sports as much as all of my friends, I was more into video games and playing outside in the woods just adventuring finding old vintage things and old buildings and all of the beautiful views. My freshman year wasn't really too special, I was too busy figuring out what everything was and where everything was located at. Then my sophomore year came along this is where I started to get the foundation of high school and blend in. everything kinda went downhill I made good grades don't get wrong, it's just I never showed up which I regret miserably. That day it went by to fast my brother and I tried spending as much time as I could with my dad. That night I went to bed sad I didn’t know if i would wake up in time to say goodbye to him. That morning I woke up and ran to see if my dad was still here. I ran into the kitchen first where I saw him eating ready to leave. He said that they were going to pick him up in ten minutes. Next thing you know we here a knock on the door. I went to answer the door it was some men in uniforms they were there to pick my dad up. My dad said goodbye to us I started to cry when he was leaving and so did my brothers and mom.

It was a Thursday evening when it all happened. Lady Titan Softball was at Tecumseh high school playing a conference game. Of course, this was my freshman year so varsity wasn’t exactly in my range. Winning the junior varsity game though, was just as important. We all knew this conference game was going to be a tough one, but we were willing to do anything to win.

We all have different kinds of the first day of school experiences, but for every student, I feel that stepping into the first day of school as a freshman would mark as the most memorable day in all high school years. Before the first day of school, I quickly thought that my freshman year would turn into the toughest and saddest year in my experience. My best friend would not attend the same high school with me, which already gives me many conclusions of how sad and hard of a school year it would result. However, maybe things will turn out differently than we think if we just change something about our way of living it.

Back when in the day when I went to Lincoln Intermediate schools my group of friends was nothing but trouble, they used to trash the bathrooms, sneak out of class, and even get into fights. In math class 5th grade with Mrs.Rozen we always had the ability at the end of class to go down to the commons and take a bathroom break and sit down there for a little bit. One time we had class like normal but we had a sub and no one was behaving, she let us go down to take our daily bathroom break in the commons and that is when everything fell apart. At that very moment in time I was sitting in the commons waiting and when I went into the bathroom it was a disaster there was soup everywhere on the walls, on the mirror and even in the stalls. Our sub soon found out and everyone in the bathroom at that time got in trouble.

When i was just entering seventh my dad had a heart attack but earlier that day me and my dad were fixing the pump in the canal so were out there all day it was starting to get dark and we went to turn on the sprinklers and my mom and dad started to argue about something so i went inside a heard my mom start yelling i ran out there i and i saw my dad laying on the ground having a seizure my mom started to do cpr and we had to cut off his waders so pulled out my knife and cut them off my mom said his pulse stopped but my mom started to do cpr again and his pulse was back the ambulance got there and all my dad could say is i love you son but that night i stayed at the hospital with him i stayed there for two days with him

When at Park Hill Elementary School I was placed in a kindergarten class with Mrs. Maes. When I first entered the class, the environment was warm and inviting. All the students were interested in what the teacher was saying. After the teacher was done taking, she introduced me to the class and mentioned to the children to be on their best behavior and show their school ROAR. ROAR is a set of school wide rules that all the students follow. Throughout the day most of the students followed these rules, but some students did act out. The teacher proceeded to deal with each situation according to the student. It seemed like the teacher had specific rules to her class in addition to the school wide rules. In the class there was a student teacher,

I got home now i'm going to tell my parents. Mom. Dad in the war… you mom said you know how my brother was on the other side mom and dad said yes in a worried face he shot me…. So i shot and killed him but i didn't see him and i didn't know it was him and he didn't know it was me and when i went to go she who it was a minigun started shooting at me and almost killed me so i laid right next to him and found out it was him and i started to cry and think why couldn't have been someone

Throughout my day at Centennial Elementary School, I was able to observe and “get my feet wet” in two different special education classrooms. I found both of these experiences to be extremely beneficial as I learned about the specific special education programs offered, saw what a normal day looks like, and watched the students and teachers work through the material together.

All I can recall is coming home after a distressed day of elementary school. I went to Live Oak and loved it there.my mom had already indicated to me that I would have to go to a different school, Lake Park, but didn’t have to if I really didn’t want to. I didn’t want to go simply because I didn’t want to leave my friends.

My time in High School was made difficult from the constant strife and conflict between my parents. This made my home an unstable environment not fitted for learning or growing as an individual. As I got older and closer to graduating High-School, I began to find my own voice with the help of my mentor Rahn Fleming, which occurred at the end of my junior year. As a result, I came in control of my life and the constant feuding started to die down. No longer did I have to worry about the next scheduled court date, or the next time I would come home wondering what may await. I felt like I was always walking on broken glass for the longest of time throughout my life, until I began to voice myself and what I wanted. My parents came to realize this

Throughout the years you would never figure out how a kid would end up growing up to be. You don’t know if they are going to be good or bad but you always hope for the best, you never want them to get bullied or feel any pain. All you want is happiness for your kid and no worries. Nobody’s life is a fairytale and many people from reality shows lifes aren’t the real ones they put up with on a daily basis a but let me take you through my journey.

I remember one incredibly funny day from last year. It was the day I fell through the glass display case at school. Boy, I tell you that sucked so bad. I know for a fact I’ll never live it down. I’m known for being pretty accident prone so it was no surprise to people when they found out I was the one who had left the blood stain in the hallway.
