Personal Narrative: Jake Owen

I don’t really like writing because whenever my teacher tells me to write about something I start to get confused on what to say then I start to get mad at myself and start to cry.The best thing I have ever written is when I had to wrote about legos, it was a nine pages and alot idioms and more.

Some of the conversation consisted of us being very annoyed at the fact people could not pronounce Ryan Beatty’s name correctly.

Alan Brito is a friend of mine from childhood. When we were young, he and I, along with a bunch of other kids from my neighborhood, used to play tops, marbles and “twenty-one”. We had a top contest in which those who could spin the top in the air with the string, pull it back and place it on top of the palm of their hand, was the winner. At the risk of sounding pretentious, I was almost always the winner. For that reason, they nicknamed me “Toppy”. Two of my other friends, Gilly and Billy were rivals. They were very good at playing “twenty-one.” They were unbeatable. Every time we played together they beat me. I was always afraid of playing against them, because I was quite sure that by the end of the game, I would be left with no money in my pockets. In time, Gilly and Billy got married and left the country. They moved to Saint Maurice, a small paradisiac island in the Pacific Ocean.

On April 4th, 2001, a young man named Ryan Judge was born in a hospital in Munster, Indiana. I haven’t always lived in Lowell, in fact for the first year of my life, I lived in Cedar Lake. When I turned about one year old, my family moved to lowell. I can’t remember anything really important in the years before school, being that I was so young. When I started school, it was quite weird actually. Going to a place to learn, for seven hours a day. I started to notice how small I was when I saw the other kids. For some reason, they were all taller than me. Most people would think that I was bullied for this reason, but I never was. It has never really become an issue in my life, because of one thing. I grew up listening to country music since my mother loved it so much. It was her favorite thing to listen to when we would go on long road trips with my father and younger brother throughout the years. Unfortunately, since I listened to it so much, I starting disliking it when I became a teenager. I started believing that country music was only for “older” people. I also thought it was boring and wasn’t the “cool type of music” teenagers are supposed to listen to. I eventually grew out of that stage and started listening to country music again a few years later. The reason I started listening to it again was because of one amazing country artist. My best friend invited me to a Luke Bryan concert in Las Vegas in 2010. At first I was iffy about it since I wasn’t a huge country music fan like her, but then I watched some videos of Luke’s performances and he seemed like a very talented artist. I decided to give it a shot and go. What I thought was going to be an average concert, turned out to be the best concert of my life! Luke put on an amazing performance and touched my heart in so many ways. I pictured

One day I was in class and a tornado erupted 17 miles away. Alex Ogle and William Burnett went outside with me and somebody came by and picked us up and dropped us off on an island. We were stranded on an island. We were safe until the tornado was over.

I believe that everyone lives life in a different ways. There isn’t a certain way to follow in life. You have to make life fun and live it to the fullest. Whether it be by yourself or with somebody you love. To me I don’t think anyone should be individual their whole life. Everyone should have somebody male/ female that they can be happy with. Life is full of surprises and it throws new things at us every day.

My SOUL, Josh Fleisher, that i had last year did a nice job with me being an incoming student. I would like to be able to have the same opportunity as he did and make the transition from high school to college go much smoother than it would be at other schools. Im hoping to gain friendships with some of the incoming freshman, but also hope to gain work ethic and break out of my shell. I was quiet in high school and would like to branch out and help others that are transitioning and make it much easier on them. Also to meet other souls that may be connections and close friends that ill have for the rest of my life is truly remarkable to me. Im hoping to gain experience among working with others regarding performing scenes for the incoming students or just being able to talk with the incoming families about what Miami is like and how incredible it can be, purely on how you make it.

Ryan Davis is my best friend for many reasons. Ryan is 13 years old and loves to play with nerf guns. You should see his collection and how many bullets he has. Let me just tell you that he has a lot of them. He also pretends that they are real and like he is in an actual war. In his backyard he has these boulder type things that he uses to play. Whenever I go to his house we always go outside with nerf guns and have a nerf war. Ryan is important to me because his parents are nice to me and my family, and Ryan is nice to me and my family. They help us out a lot, whether it be taking me somewhere when my parents are at work,or taking me to his house to hang out. One thing we also always do whenever I go to his house is we jump on his trampoline.

As I consider my past and everything that’s happened, I don’t think a single character fits exactly how I feel about myself. Thankfully, I chose someone who shares the same experiences. In the beginning, she wasn’t rich, but she wasn’t poor; she wasn’t popular, but she was loved by those closest to her; and she obeyed the rules, but she never let anyone take advantage of her. I like to think we have similar stories, seeing as how both of us had to go through the same situations. As you may be wondering, her name was America Singer, later referred to as America Schreave, from the Selection series by Kiera Cass. Because we’re the same age now, I relate to her even more. I understand how she feels because I’ve lived through the same struggles

Mark has a sister named Ann who is six years old. Antonio is a faster runner, strong student and won Best Athlete award. Marci bought a new car her old car cost to much to repair, but her new car is smaller than her old car. The dog chased a cow. You can have cake or pie. Do pushups until I tell you to stop. There are a lot of people. That is an orange. I am better than you. I was in the office as if II were in trouble.

One day a man named Tyler Dawson was on trip to Chicago for vacation. He decided that he would go camping it was during the winter he was prepared and had his equipment with him. It was a bright peaceful day and snow was everywhere, it was very quiet and relaxing. He decided to go further into the woods, he traveled to a part of the woods that no one ever ventured too. It was always very dangerous to go further into the woods, but he was prepared any decided to go venture off. As he was venturing it started to get darker and colder. As he was getting flashlight from his bag he heard a cracking noise. He shouted “is anyone there” with no reply.

I hope you slept well. I had a dream I was in school and Alec Baldwin was the principal. Then I was in lexington and trying to get a rental car but all of the customers kept cutting me, I finally get a car but then its stolen with my wallet. Ha! I am going to walk over in a bit and see if Mike is going to Grandma's. Mom is totally still asleep, it's confirmed the past 1.5 years all she's done is sit in her room and watched tv.. you can tell by every angle of this house and her. At least I did stuff may not have been much and I might have been drunk or high.. but I still did things and WORKED...*DOT

When I move closer towards them, I start to see Christopher, Samuel, and Kyle! Kyle Valentine is in my house! I haven't seen him since the second to last week of school. He's one of my brother's friends that Luke would always warn me about but honestly he's not that bad of a guy. The only time I would talk to him is when I would have Biology with him. Kyle is more of a dork that plays football and isn't a total dickhead.

I was 7 years old, in a foreign country for vacation and I end up already breaking something, What would you do, fess up and be grounded all summer or try and lie? At the end of the summer I will no longer be obsessed with doing dumb stuff, instead I would be a honest young boy.In this I am going to tell you how I learned a valuable lesson.Rocks belong on the floor and not soaring thru the air at objects.
