I have no idea how this all started. Seriously. Some people call me some sort of wonder boy. Others say that I had this big, hairy plan. Nope. It all started like this… One summer day, I was wondering where I could get the money for a new bike. Now, I couldn’t just waltz downstairs and ask my parents for some money. They’d probably go into this huge rant on budgeting money, finance, blah blah blah. We were also having some money problems right now, being my mom is a teacher and my dad was some college professor. So naturally, I had to make the money on my own. Ambling outside, I could hear the pure joy of kids playing outside, combined with someone’s lawn mower. It was probably something like 90 degrees outside, and the kids must’ve been …show more content…
How many pitchers did you drink?!” “Hey” he whined defensively “It was hot!” “Well you aren’t gonna get paid because you didn’t sell anything “Fine. Whatever” “Oh and try to find some more people to set up stands, ok?” “Fine” and he walked away. As I walked back to my house, I wondered about how hard tomorrow was going to be. Not too hard I thought. Boy, was I in for a big surprise. Chapter 2 When I woke up, it was already 10:00. Too late. Grabbing a donut off the counter, I walked outside to Mike’s house. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I got there. At least 2 dozen people were milling around, waiting for instructions. My instructions. Pulling Mike aside, I let him know what was on my mind “Are you out of your mind?! Who are these people!?” “Oh just a few friends of mine” he replied with a hint of a smirk on his face. “A FEW friends?” “Yup” After I had gotten them to stop shuffling around like dead zombies, I faced them. “So, did Mike tell you why I wanted you?” A few nods “I want you to set up your stands by intersections along the road, where there’s a lot of activity” Someone yelled out “How much do we get payed?” Grinning to myself, I said “A third of what you earn” Another person yelled “At least
Contemplating back on my high school journey, I began to recognize and appreciate the life changes I experienced and the imperative lessons I learned throughout those four years. If I had to choose several words to describe my high school experience, I would begin with eventful, challenging, and memorable. High school afforded me many experiences that continuously led to stressful and challenging encounters. Being involved with the Ambassador Program and the National Honor Society was one of the greatest decisions I made in high school. Both clubs provided me with numerous life-changing opportunities that will continue to have an impact on me for a lifespan.
For years up until highschool, I had successfully tried out for and made a variety of sports teams. That is, until sophomore year. It was my first year trying out for the Winnacunnet baseball team, which everyone had known to be terrible for years. 3 months full of hard work later with that idea still in my mind, I was filled with a weird mixture of confusion, anger, and sadness when I was told that I had been cut from the team before the start of the season. At the time I thought that day ended my entire baseball career, I’d never play another meaningful inning of the game I loved ever again. I decided against that idea though, I wasn’t gonna let one bad event stop me from following my dreams. So starting that summer, I trained all year round
Some people fracture a bone in their body; some break the same bone twice. A few rupture a bone from slipping on a rug. I happen to be one of the very few for whom both of these scenarios are true. Between the ages of five and seven, my parents enrolled me in a gymnastics class because I loved to tumble and twirl. I knew how to execute everything a little gymnast aimed for: a cartwheel, a handstand, and splits. I always tested my limits with the dream of getting to the Olympics. So, as any athlete, I practiced outside of the gym. However, a normal practice would turn out to crush my dream of winning the gold. Outside at my aunt's house, my cousins and I decided to practice what we learned in the class that week. I had diligently watched the older kids master a back handspring so I thought that I could tackle the challenge. All I remember is falling backwards, thinking I had stuck the landing. However, lying on the floor, I realized that my arm appeared abnormal and shooting pains came from all angles. I had broken my arm for the first time.
I think we should all have a chance to go to school and be professionals and study what we want to. There is a lot of people that didn’t get a chance to go to college after high school for personal reasons. They should have programs that help kids to finish school. With money living and other things sometimes financial aid it’s not enough so most of them are forced to work and they end up not going to school. Now there parents and they have to work to pay for house and food and other things. Half of my friends didn’t go to college after they graduated high school, and some of them didn’t even finish high school.
I quickly raised my hand thinking " I know it, I know it." "Yes Thomas", the teacher said. "MAN!!! " Oh I forgot to introduce myself, I'm the girl that always knows the answer, the one who always follows the rules, the teachers pet, better yet, I'm the know - it - all.
We reside in high school for four short years. To some four years seems a lifetime, but for a highschooler, four years couldn’t feel any shorter. And in my four years I can tell you what remained true; if you’re running late, take your time because you’re late either way and your gpa does not decide your destiny but most importantly, you are in charge of your future. These all turned out to be truths because we don’t know what we’ll be doing tomorrow, for some of us even in the next couple hours. Not having a 4.00 gpa doesn’t mean that you’re gonna spend your adult years scrubbing toilets at Mcdonalds. We spend so much time worrying about our futures and sometimes neglect the things that keep us sane. So I guess what i’m trying to say is that we all need to chill.
When I finished high school from my home town, I decided to move to bigger city for higher study. My parents sent me to one of dad’s older brother house for stay, so I stayed there for about one year. Everybody was okay in that house except for my aunt, she never treated me good. The problem was she had two sons, so she always discriminated between son and daughter. She had a problem with the way I talk, my outfit, my hair, and many other stuffs. I had to make breakfast in the morning, then cook lunch by 11am, and I had a school from 12 pm until 3pm, and when I comeback from school, I had to cook dinner. During the weekend, I had to clean house, wash clothes, and go for grocery shopping. I was basically a servant, and I did not do well in my
My story starts before I was even born. The doctor told my mom that I was going to be brain dead. I guess I did not move a lot in the womb. I was born on March 7, 2000. It was actually seventy degrees in Huntington. When I was about a year and a half years old my mom and dad got divorced. I can’t remember it but it has affected every day since then. I have had to move back and forth between houses because I felt like I needed both parents in my life to keep me happy.
My alarm woke me up with a start. Slowly but surely, I rolled out of my bed and slid on some jeans and a t-shirt. Then, descended down the stairs to find my mom lounging on the couch drinking coffee. Then I headed toward the kitchen to make breakfast and before I knew it it was time to go to the bus stop.
“You think I'd be here alone after you killed everyone, Nope, but i’ve bought a few friends lets see how you like Fighting 3 People at once.”
"So you would like to know how I got here, Right? How I found Sammy at his school, How I became one of his closest friends then just ended up at the same collage as him?" I chuckled at the hunter.
"Very clever. Nice trick! Who were they then, students? Is this a student thing or what?" Nico presses.
“Jesus , Maria, who are these people” he said nervously. I quickly put together an answer
"It 's that truck right down there." I pointed down the street to where my truck was parked.
I raced to the hotel room Lacrima and called Freed or the guild but, I would have them put on Freed.
