It was a normal November day for Melissa’s family, the air was cool and crisp. Leaves rested on the ground and crunched as Melissa climbed into her car. Inside, there was a great tension. Her brother was supposed to be at school but instead, he was in the front seat. This was in 2013 and from that point on her life changed forever. As her mom was driving out of the car line she tells Melissa that her dad has done something. She continues telling her how her dad locked her in the bathroom at the bakery and put his arms around her neck. He squeezed very hard and Melissa’s mom even thought she was going to die. Shocked, her first instinct was to pick up Melissa’s brother so they could go together to talk to the police. Later, as Melissa was going
Deej Logan was just like any normal high school girl. She woke up on her first day of school and combed her hair, picked out the “perfect” outfit and headed out the door. What she didn’t know is that after that day nothing would be the same. Nothing that day seemed to be going right. At school drama was swarming all around her, not exactly what she hoped the first day would be like. By the time the last bell of the day rang she was more than happy to get out of that school. She drove home as quickly as she could but as soon as she got home she realized that she had forgotten to pick up her sisters. “Great.” She thought sarcastically as she sat back down in her car and drove off. Just then she pulled out her phone to message one of her friends about her awful day. That one decision changed everything. Before she had a chance to send the message Deej veered off into oncoming traffic and was killed on impact.
17-year-old, Maddie Fynn, was taken into custody after she brutally tortured and murdered a 7-year-old child. Victim’s mother, Patricia Tibbolt, explains that she went to visit Maddie Fynn on Grand Haven St. 16378 on wednesday November 17, 2015 one week prior to the death of her son, Tevon, because she had heard about Maddie’s unusual talent of reading people’s death dates. Mrs. so and so claims to have a daughter suffering from cancer and doctors were about to place the child on a new, more effective treatment. As a concerned mother, she wanted to see if the expense for the treatment was even worth it. Maddie told her that her daughter would live to see up to 2084. Glad to hear the news, Mrs. Tibbolt started to gather her things, causing a picture of the victim to fall out of her purse. Maddie,
It was winter when there was no work and classes were suspended due to the heavy snow Mia which was played by Chloe Moretz and her parents decided that they will visit their Grandparents. The twenty-first of April is the day I went out and saw the Rocky Horror Picture Show. And damn, if I was not prepared for The Irene Ryan Show, I was rolling on the floor with uncomprehensive and confusing thoughts with this sci-fi, rock musical.
While in south Georgia sweltering under the heat for her daughter Amanda’s state swimming competition Friday, Melissa Bramlett found the town’s reptile population to be a little too friendly.
1. In the “Melissa Dohme story--48 hours: live to tell: One last hug” ( Finley, producer, 2014) segment, Melissa explains that her case of intimate partner violence was previously reported to 911 Operators. Subsequently, when the two Clearwater Police officers show up, Melissa is told by the officers, “you know, we don't wanna keep coming out here. ... the girl always goes back. ... and they said, "we don't ever wanna see you again” (Dohme; Finley, producer, 2014). This seems to be a very common police response when it comes to victim’s who report domestic and IPV violence. Also, the demeaning police response stereotypes all victims; however, each abuse case is not the same. In my viewpoint, this issue is concerning when the police chose

A drop of perspiration made a slow trek down my face as I carefully placed one foot in front of the other, each step taken with a precision a ballerina would envy. The scorching sun was directly behind me, its rays beaming directly through my shirt, making my venture more difficult than it usually was. I hadn’t had luck on my side so far today. The sky was bare of clouds, and no grain bin was tall enough to shade me from the sun. I wore my lucky red shirt specifically for this day. Yeah – I have a lucky shirt, what’re you laughing at? My usual crowd would consist of solely my brother, but today I had two sets of eyes on me. My brother’s, gazing up at me with his permanent look of wonder, and Sarah Crocker’s, her smirk extending beyond her lips
Taylor Markham has had a very troubling life. She has no idea who her father is, her mom left her at a 7-Eleven parking lot, the search for her mother was interrupted by someone she thought she could trust, and a hermit whispered something to her before taking his life. She tries to ignore some of the things from her past but that’s hard to do when something or someone can bring up those harsh memories. Besides a troubling past, she also seems to be having a rough present; her recurring dream could actually be a nightmare, the woman, who has taken care of Taylor ever since the 7-Eleven incident, has disappeared without a goodbye, two people from her past, whom she wished she would never have to see again, have returned, and she is now in charge
In my sequel the friends would go back to school together and they will found out that Melissa was trying to separate this two closest friends. John and try to found out why she would do that, but it wasn’t until the next week that they knew why she was doing that. Jim and John go to Melissa’s house to talk to her. They talk with Melissa and tell her that what she had pass is not a reason to hurt someone else. After they talk Melissa understand that she is hurting a lot of people and she stop doing it.
Growing up was awkward sometimes and “Stacy’s Mom” made that awkwardness better but also worse at the same time. The Hills was one of my favorite shows and it’s theme song reminded me that my life is like a book and it’s being written every day. I want to try to live the best life I can. Some of the best advice I’ve ever gotten was, “Just dance. Gonna be okay.” Thanks, Lady Gaga. Beyoncé puts a strong and sexy spin on being single. It was good for me because I was one of the only girls in my friend group that didn’t have a boyfriend in middle school. Anyone can dance to “Teach Me How To Dougie”. You just have to listen to the
In the morning of October 28, 2002 a package was dropped off at the door steps of Sarah and Katie Rayworth home in Washington. In a rushed out the door Sarah did not notice the package by the door. After Sarah left Katie started to get all her supplies for soccer, as Katie rushed out the door Katie did not notice the package because Katie had too much stuff in her arms. As Katie and Sarah went their separate
A couple of years ago my friend shauny was living with her mom while her now dad was fighting for custody. Her moms was a horrible, and evil person. I couldnt tell you the number of times i had to calm her down because her mom was being satan. Well, one day her mom and her dad had court, and shauny had to leave school early. I remember spending that entire day shaking, i was so scared for her. At the end of the school day, she called me crying and said that her dad had gotten custody. So, her and her dad came and picked me up from school, and we went to pick up shaunys grandma to go out to dinner. Me and shauny spent the entire drive to lawton singing our hearts out to random cringey songs. After we had gotten dinner she took me to starbucks
It was a spring day during the month of April in the small state of Vermont. The trees swayed in the slight breeze and all you could see for miles was clouds. The past month had been very sunny and hot, so this cold and cloudy day seemed quite mysterious and unusual. Clouds were moving, if at all, very slowly. It is about mid afternoon at the Lewis’ house. In the Lewis family there was the mother and father, Kara and Robert, and their eight year old twins Daniel and Caroline. The twins were very different in personality, but there was a reason for that. Daniel had a mental disorder that made him have a learning disorder and major mood swings, bipolar. He was homeschooled because of his needs, but Caroline was sent to an all-girls school. The
Based on Sara’s family history, she grew up in a low socioeconomic status where her father was addicted to OxyContin after his two knee surgeries and had an older brother who was abusing heroin. In her father’s early 30s, he was diagnosed with depression. By living in a low income area, there is a higher risk of obtaining illegal drugs (Sutin, Evans, & Zonderman, 2013). On the other hand, her mother did not have any information about past drug or alcohol abuse, although, constantly fought with Sara’s father about his addiction. Throughout Sara’s adolescent years, she states how her father has been in and out of rehabilitation facilities and disliked the arguments between her parents. In addition to being in and out of rehab, Sara had a close
