My college and or career goals are a priority to my future. I have a plan that may not be easy but I am ready for the challenge. In June 2017 I will be graduating high school. The next step I will be taking is to apply for college. My goal is to be a Registered (Pediatric) nurse. I will be the first in my family to attend college. Based off of my personal life experiences helping others brings me joy. Receiving the help of a scholarship for pre-calculus would be the start of a successful future. My life growing up wasn’t the best but I have a strong motivation to succeed. I want to create the life I wasn’t given growing up. School is a priority to me. I want to show the people around me I can do anything I set my mind to no matter what
My College and Career goals include graduating college and getting a job. I wish to attend the University of Alabama. I plan to major in occupational therapy or speech therapy. After I graduate with my bachelor's degree I wish to get my master's degree. After I finish my schooling I want to receive a job that allows me to provide for my family. I wish to receive this job in my degree's field. After receiving this job I wish to improve to reach a leadership role.
As a junior in Early College I would more or less consider this my second year, as I have been taking college classes for three years now. However, I can still identify an issue I am facing with my courses. As I am trying to graduate a five year program in only four years, I have taken on a lot of responsibility as a 16 year old. I am currently taking 6 courses this semester, and I will have to take five courses every other semester to graduate on time. As I thought this would be a busy course load for me, I ended up quitting my job because they could not comply with the hours I requested due to school. I completely regret this, as I now have to work at a job that I am not making much money at and I have even had to take on some side jobs just to be able to pay my insurance on time. Sometimes, people make decisions that they think will better them and make life easier, but they make these decisions without careful consideration and at least trying the circumstance before changing everything.
The droplets of rain emerge from the towering clouds as I step onto the vibrant green grass for the first time. I lock eyes with the monstrous building and tilt my head back until I have reached the roof. There I was. A stick-like, puny, first year college student looking at my home for the next four years. Yet I can't manage to take a second step. I stand there, staring at the giant brick block and lift my classic yellow rain jacket hood up over my impressively soft chocolate hair, protecting it from the harm of the rain. Four years of Ireland weather lays ahead of me. Four years of bunk beds in dorms. Four years of competing for the number one student. For years of awkward parties and tests. Four years until I'm out.
Certainly by now, you know my name. However, I prefer to go by Mia. I have been a student at SBVC since fall of 2013. I know... it seems like a long time. The reason for that is I am a double major. In Spring of 2018 I will be graduating with my Associate's degrees in Business Administration and Accounting. I work extremely hard on my educational career goals. For example, I have maintained a 4.0 GPA and am an honor student. I currently work on-call for a local school district and enjoy every minute of it. I am also a creative writer, which I haven't had much time to do lately, but plan to get back to it as time allows. In fact, one of my newest ventures is marketing in the digital economy, so my creative writing will definitely get
The progression of my education goals are as follows: My short term educational goal is to accepted as a nursing student here at York Technical College. My next goal will be to graduate from the nursing program as a Registered Nurse.
During the past three years at Montgomery College, I can say that I’ve changed my major about ten times. At first it was from becoming an obstetrician, to midwife, pediatric nurse, social worker, ultrasound technician, school counselor and the list goes on, but I’ll stop here before I bored you. It is now my last semester at Montgomery College and I realized after changing my major so many times, there was one thing that every single one of these careers had in common. Working with mothers to be and infants, I said to myself “this is my passion”. As I was doing my research, I came across the topic of “maternal and child health” and under that topic the university of Maryland at college park was one of the links that was provided. I didn’t
So now here I am. The Tribe was able to fund me in continuing my education, and I’m finally able to attend college. I never thought that I would make it to college. I was always beating myself up for having a GED and giving up in School. My first day of college in January, was filled with anxiety. I thought I was going to faint. But I survived. I now I’m enjoying the college life. Although it’s not much of a fabulous life. It’s challenging, stressful, intimidating, intense, but also fun. I want to encourage my children to never give up. I also want to remind them about how important school is just like my grandpa did. That getting an education is important. That without one they would struggle like I had. And reflecting back to when I was a
My primary goal in attending Michigan State University is to graduate with a dual major in accounting and computer science along with a minor in creative writing. The first way I have prepared to meet this goal is by taking Computer Science I and AP Computer Science along with talking to my computer science teacher about what he recommends I do to be a successful computer programmer. The second way I prepared to meet my goal is by taking Algebra 2 honors instead of regulars along with talking to my uncle who is a very successful accountant in Australia and getting his advice on what to do to become a certified accountant; which he advised that for the United States I take the CPA examination. The third way I have prepared to accomplish my goal

I wrote this inspirational and persuasive book to stimulate all college bound student’s career decisions. A stimulated choice means that your college aspiration is prayerfully pumped-up with two of God’s counsels: spiritual enrichment and spiritual empowerment. These two activators serve to remind new college students to put God as their first priority.
After completing the college search, I am feeling stressed and way too overwhelmed because feel that i don't enough activities to do like joining a sport team or things that are wanted from a student. I am also feeling like I know more about what some university want and require; without this college search I would only get a little bit information about what college want from other people or whatever would pop up on ads. I am not that satisfied with current academic record because I am not in any sports, clubs, etc. so I need to step up and be more involved in school activities. My strength points are volunteering and getting good grade and that's it; my weak point are very where in my opinion, I need to be involved take risks and become
For the first two and a half years of my college career I attended Sterling College. Sterling was a small, private, four year Christian college, where I had the opportunity to run track and cross country. I loved the Ed department there, however, transferring to K-State was the best decision for my family. I got married the week after my freshman year had come to an end, and my new husband got deployed to Kuwait shortly after, and then Iraq. While he was gone I decided to return to SC, and not let my track scholarship go to waste. When he returned last March we made it work with him living in our home here, and my living two hours away. It was very difficult, we had weekend visits, and then I came home. Well, we tried it again this fall and
The career goals I am preparing for include finishing my BSN, then continuing to receive my MSN, receiving my RN-C and becoming a clinical instructor for a community college. I plan to start taking classes for my MSN degree as soon as I finish my BSN because you must have a Master’s degree to become a clinical instructor. Becoming a clinical instructor has been a dream of mine since I started nursing school in 2009. When students come to the NICU for their observation day, I make sure to teach them everything I know about neonates because they only get one afternoon in the NICU and I want them to leave loving the specialty as much as I do. I want to teach clinical at a community college versus a four year college so I can encourage the nursing students to continue on for their BSN immediately upon completion of their Associate’s degree because “generally,
After I got diagnosed with scoliosis at the beginning of my sophomore year in high school, I was advised that there were now specific activities that I needed to stay away from so that my curvature would not grow in degrees. One might think that this consumed my mind and drove me to agony; nonetheless, it was surprisingly the time of my life where I actually gained an understanding of what I wanted to do after college, and for the rest of my life. Throughout all my visits at Shriners Hospital for Children, a nurse practitioner worked with me not only to improve my diagnosis, but also to truly educate me on my condition. At that moment, I realized she had great importance and many people relied on her for their well-being; undeniably, this prompted
I have been trained to become a chemist since the first year of my high school. This is a challenging career, requiring analytical thinking, attention to details, and adaptability. It is also a well-paying and promising career. However, chemistry is not what I have always dreamt of doing the rest of my life. As someone who is concerned about the development of sub-Saharan Africa, I came to a conclusion that what this region needs is not only scientists but also people who know and understand leadership and international affairs. In this paper, I compare my strengths and abilities to the qualities that one should have in order to excel as a chemist and a diplomat.
