I toured many Universities while searching for the perfect fit. I wanted an academic focused school, one with well know school spirit, and one where I felt like family. The University of Florida was the last school I toured. As soon as I walked under the Plaza of Americas and into the stadium I knew. I felt a sense of community and belonging. I felt like the University of Florida could be my home, and that was something I hadn’t felt at any other campus. It was an enthusiastic welcome, a welcome to the swamp, and a welcome to the gator nation. The University of Florida has become my home away from home.
I go bold by embracing diversity. I grew up in a single language household; in a predominantly white neighborhood that was very conservative. I never had any African-American or Asian kids in my class and I thought it was normal. But when my family began traveling and living within a community overseas, I began to see the stereotypes that had been built around me from a young age. Traveling abroad has allowed me understand different cultures and the people who come from them. It has allowed me to embrace our differences, and learn from one another. It has inspired me to learn another language. I go bold by embracing people for who they are and what we can learn from each other.

Taking a tour at University of Florida changed my path forever, the Cicerone’s shared incredible aspects of the school and student life with us as incoming students. They were able to ease my mind and allowed me to see the possibilities of being a Gator. Now, as a current student, I would love to share my experiences and knowledge with those incoming students. This a wonderful opportunity to impact the next generation of Gators and share my love for the University of
I felt anxious about attending RU. Now that I have been here a week I am feeling motivated. Living close to campus gives me the ability to be completely immersed in the college lifestle, therefore, allowing me to have the chance to join various clubs and the chance to use the many resources that will advance my academic career. Being able to join a club here at Rutgers will help me be able to feel like a Rutgers student. The next step in educational career is going to be attending Florida State University, because it is one of the best public universities in the state and it manages one of the highest ranking sports management programs. Since my plan is to further my education as a short term goal and then I planned to embrace the opportunities that this grading of the sea has to offer and
East Carolina University is and has always been a dream school for many students including myself. I have grown up hearing about the University and it is nothing short of spectacular. Many family members of mine have attended East Carolina, and I have always pictured myself at this school. It would be an honor to be a pirate. Throughout high school I have struggled in Science and Math. I know I could have done better in high school but in life you can always do something better, im eager to push myself more and work harder than ever to succeed as an adult, if given the chance There are many times when I should I have put school in front of my extra curricular activities such as dancing, art, work, tennis, and swimming. However, all of those
My history with Florida A & M University started before I was born. Looking back from day one, my family specifically my mom, cousin and aunts instilled in me what was the definition of a true Rattler. Some have defined a true Rattler as a go getter who stops at nothing to accomplish their goal. Some have defined a true Rattler as a well spoken and confident student attending FAMU. Others, simply would define a true Rattler as a student who has fallen on the hill going to class. Considering these definitions and countless others, I possess the solid qualities for attending Florida A & M University and becoming a true Rattler.
When I think about what I could contribute to Florida A&M University based on the knowledge that I do have with your institution is that i’m a extremely committed student who has beliefs that you can do anything that you set your mind to. There may be some times when I may feel discouraged but why must if I feel like that if things aren’t easily handed to you. You must chase your dreams, and when you do that things will slowly fall into place (not exactly how you planned for it to be at times). I learned that through the many obstacles I had to experience to make me the well informed women I am today. The best activity, interest, experience, and achievement in my life was being a Big member of “Big brother, big sister”. Becoming a mentor for
Through my experiences and achievements at California Baptist University, I can gain an academic advantage over my peers attending other schools. The amount of programs and majors offered at CBU will help me develop as an educated and experienced woman with a strong educational background at CBU. With the help of CBU, I can grow into my full potential and maintain a great headstart in entering the real world with a strong mentality of maturity. I have always maintained upstanding grades and high GPA in high school, and my attendance at CBU will merely continue my pattern of success.
Although many schools claim to be the best, the University of Michigan truly holds this spot in my eyes. When talking to people about it, they always comment on how cold it is, and they wonder why people would ever want to live there. My answer is simple; I was born in Michigan and love everything about it. From the bitter cold, to the prestigious colleges, I take pride in being born here. When I researched great law schools and found one located in Michigan, my attention was immediately
My unwavering interest pursuing a Pennsylvania State University (e.g. Penn State) degree was initially sparked in 2010 when I visited the beautiful University Park campus and experienced the magnificent academic and athletic facilities. Due to my swimming competitions and involvement with the National FFA Organization, I have visited the Penn State campus numerous times since this initial visit and have fallen in love with both the campus and its distinct culture. This past July, I attended the Penn State Open House orientation receiving several academic presentations and guided tours. I also had the distinct opportunity to meet several Penn State students and witness first hand the encouraging attitude of the school. It is in this type of collegial, harmonious environment I know I will achieve long term academic success.
It was not long ago when I fell in love with the University of Chicago. My fervor for UChicago rapidly grew from the moment I first heard about it. I was on the Metra headed to downtown Chicago with my friend, and she mentioned UChicago as her top school for college applications. As she talked about UChicago endlessly, my interest in the school piqued. My friend’s enthusiasm about UChicago amazed me and influenced me to conduct my own research on the school. The prestigious reputation of the school surprised me because I had never heard of it before. I soon realized that UChicago is a hidden gem among colleges that all seem the same to me.
On my campus tour, I walked with other prospective students and quickly realized there was a place for all of us at Northwestern. Just as the images lay together on a purple screen earlier, we
I expect that I will feel very comfortable at the University of Delaware since I have lived in Delaware for all of my life and several of my friends already attend the school. However, I am not too used to northern Delaware, so that will take some getting used to but that excites me. I am also used to both large and small classes since I went to a positively tiny middle school and a very large high school, so I do not expect to be shocked by the class sizes. Although, I do hope that I can remain as close to my professors I have been with my teachers for the past twelve years.
When I contemplated where I would like to spend the next four years of my life, a light went off in my head, and I thought of my family members in Tallahassee who also have been accepted to Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University. As a senior at Inlet Grove Community High School, I had the opportunity to study the Architecture Engineering and Web Design Academies, where I became certified in Auto CAD and Dreamweaver. In addition, I played football for three years, and enjoyed the excitement of being on a team, and playing defensive end, and defensive tackle. Even though the team had a change of coaches, the players stayed strong and close, and had pep rallies where the whole school celebrated. Our former coach is now the defensive coach for the Kansas City Chiefs, and our present coach played for the Patriots and Philadelphia Eagles among other teams.
My first experience on Trinity’s campus was participating in the Leadership Greater Hartford Summer Nexus program during the summer of my junior year. I spent a week at Trinity’s Multicultural Office discussing diversity and inclusion topics with my peers, expanding my leadership skills and organizing a fundraiser for Jonathan’s Dream Playground. After spending time on Trinity’s campus, I had a natural curiosity to learn more about the college’s academic rigor and commitment to diversity and inclusion. During college fairs, I spoke with Trinity representatives about my Summer Nexus leadership experience and they informed about the Preview Weekend.
I choose Florida Atlantic University because I felt in love with the sprit of the school. In my opinion FAU has all the requisites to provide me with an extraordinary education. In other words, the school is unknown for one of the best public University in Florida. For me is an honor to be able to represent the university and to able to enrich my academic journey at Florida Atlantic University. Most importantly the locations of the school was very important to me because I want a calm yet diverse area, which I can feel safe and comfortable. Once I step into FAU I knew it was the perfect school and everyone there were so attentive. The smaller classes more of a one-on-one with professors it very important for my educational learning. As a communication
As a new student, I understand that I will be exposed to many new experiences, opportunities, and challenges during my first year here at Morgan State University. During this journey, it it important for me to understand “where i am coming from in order to know where I’m going.”
