My five greatest strengths were futuristic, focus, achiever, restorative, and strategic. I have always utilized my futuristic strength. Being able to picture my future so vividly helps me to accomplish my goals. It helps me focus on what needs to be done in the present time. My focus strength is helpful at my current job. Being a 9-1-1 operator, I have to be able to focus on the calls I am working on. I also plan to utilize my focus strength when it comes to school. This strength can be utilized by planning and prioritizing my life and being able to focus on accomplishing those tasks. The achiever strength is one that I utilize daily, as well. I have always been one to make lists and go through with completing those tasks. The restorative strength
As an incoming freshmen my strengths as a writer are a wide vocabulary , word usage, and writing argumentative essays. I feel with having strength in those areas allows me to be a successful write, with success comes some weakness. My weaknesses are grammar, punctuation, spelling ,and thesis statements. I have a hard time trying to depict what is the best punctuation when writing. All throughout grade school and high school I've always been an underachiever in spelling. English and writing are my least strongest subjects. I floundered in high school with these subjects. In my personal opinion I don't think my high school prepared us well enough for writing on the college level. I think that the areas that I struggle are very basic levels of
One of my strengths as a writer is when I start to write I get into a writing flow, it is when someone's thoughts and writing feel like they are completely in sync as they write, and I am sure that almost everyone gets into a flow when they get focused enough. The problem for me is getting into that writing flow in the first place. I am talking about the common writer's block; also, another weakness that I found when I was in English N50 is that I have a particularly hard time writing about myself. I did improve over the course, but I still struggle. The last skill that I exceeded in my last English class is proofreading other classmates work, and that was either because I truly am good at proofreading, or it was because there was a lot of
After completing the SrengthsQuest I found that my top five were: learner, includer, developer, achiever, and positivity. Of these five, the one that surprised me the most was positivity. I always strive for perfection, which I know is not the best way to approach things, but when I don't do things perfectly I become easily frustrated. Although I don't easily give up when situations get tough, I am quick to say, "you know what I quit, I don't care anymore." So I don’t exactly think of myself as a positive person. Especially when it comes to sports, I'm always nervous I'll lose a race because I am not good enough or that my team will lose because of a mistake I will make.
These are my top five procedures that I plan to incorporate in my classroom. The start of the day procedure students will enter class politely and put supplies and materials away in assign area. Students will turn in take home binder in appropriate bin assigned. Before the bell rings students can take time to sharpen pencils. When bell rings students need to be at their desk ready to listen for instructions. Lining up procedure include lining up quietly and push in chairs, keep hands and feet to yourself, and keep eyes looking forward ready to go. Leaving the room procedure raise your hand for permission, when called upon tell me where you are going, take the hall pass, and do not run or play in hallways or restrooms. Entering the classroom
“The strengths for me are adaptability, restoration, individualization, empathy, and relator. Adaptability is easy for me because I don’t like confrontation. I try to just go with whatever as long as it doesn’t threaten my children or myself. Growing up I just learned to avoid bad situations. If an environment is good I deal with it. If a situation is bad I deal with that as well. Restoration is what I’m dealing with now. I need to work on restoration for myself. I do seem to have good advice for others but I lack that in some parts of my life. I need restoration with my finances. So I plan on reading books on financial planning. I have always just wanted to spend money and not save my plan is to educate myself and restore my financial situation.” (Clifton, 2006)
I believe one of my personal strengths are communication skills and willingness to interact socially with others on a professional level. Gaining 4 years of experience in customer service, while working as a bartender, was a great journey for me to become a self-confident and a relaxed individual when talking with other people. Due to the nature of the job, it was often necessary to interact with demanding customers, who were under the influence of alcohol or were performing aggressive behaviours. I had an opportunity to develop problem solving and stress management skills, and to learn acting patient and calm in uncomfortable situations. During busy shifts, in order to provide a smooth and a high standard customer service, it was necessary
All my life I have struggled with low self-esteem, letting people chosse for me, stepping back when challenging goals step in front of me, and defiantly letting fear keep me back. I knew I could do more in life but every time I was able to set fear aside, my friends and family stopped me and brought fear back in me. Giving their point of view without any knowledge of how an education will improve my life. That I should stick to a waitress position and work hard like most of my family had. Not having enough money to provide for my two boys, has been my struggle for considering that going to college was never in my view. Being the first one in my family to pursue an education, I was terrified to assist my first appointment
The five components are a big part of my life. I belong to a loving and caring community called SHC. We all help one another and support one another. We show the community support in many ways, from Bruce Mahoney games to, setting next to a classmate who is sitting alone during lunch. When I’m not with my community I’m with my institution. My ancestry are the people who defined who I’m. They give me unconditional love yet always helping me get to the next step. I would one day want the world to be like my community and my institution. A world without any judgement (gay, people with color, homeless) . A former addict at Saint Anthony told us, “The people who are homeless was one time just like you, living a normal life.” Everyone is still human so why treat others differently. A great start to getting rid of this world problem is to start with service. It does not take skills to serve and help someone. This does not mean go volunteer at a soup kitchen every day, yet just spend some time talking with the people. You will have similar idea and share similar things. Last component is Sacrament. Many things symbolize me throughout the years, but I symbolize my life to a mountain range. I have up and down yet I never crumble. However myself is a different symbol. I’m
My determination, being open minded, and my love to help others has helped me become the person I am today. My determination has helped me through getting the things I want instead of slacking off or having the mindset that I do not care. My determination has helped through challenging classes, and not giving up even when things got tough. Keeping an open mind allowed me to receive better opportunities, and allowed me to explore my interests in new ways. One of the great opportunities I have recieved was Global Glimpse, and seeing the world in a new way. My love to help others also helped me find me peace and happiness in my life. I love to help people, and I love helping my community. One of the great things I have done is do community service
The ten years I was lucky enough to have with you many valuable lessons were learned the from getting up early to help you with everything whether it be repairing a roof, changing truck tires, or simply planting a garden. We would always work our ass off to help anyone in need. There was work and something to learn. Dad knew best so we always had fun even when it was just making dinner, playing cards, or shooting guns. Those times shaped me into who I am; I learned a lot following his every footstep, watching carefully, and asking lots of question. Thankful for the ten years I had with you and the nine you have kept me safe while I raised hell and stood up for what I believed in.
How my dependable strengths go with my good experience. To start with is what is my dependable strengths are people, word, and picture smart. My good experience I pick was about getting an A on a quiz in science. How my good experiences goes in with my dependable strengths.
Through out my high school career I have had many opportunities to demonstrate the six pillars of character. I show that I am caring by making sure that everyone else is okay before myself. There has been many day when I have came to school and something was bothering me. However, I would notice on of my friends didn't look happy or like their usually self. I would talk to them to figure out what is wrong and do what ever I could to make their day. I show that I have citizen ship by volunteering with my friends. Just I volunteered at Kids Against Hunger through my friends church. I was there for four hours sealing bags, boxing up packages, filling bags, and cleaning up. By the end of the night every one worked together to feed of 1,000 people. I have also volunteered at Cayman Court, which is an assistant living home for mentally challenged adults. I have helped at many of their holiday parties and played christmas music for the residence there.
I am looking for my first gig on this site, and hope you are willing to take a chance on a newby of sorts. I do not have a website or proof of my writing skills, other than this Cover Letter. That doesn't mean I have no experience with either. I do have a rather unusual need for privacy, so I rarely share my information on social sites and whatnot. I took a chance on this site, as I also have a need to be productive, I kinda like to eat, and sorta enjoy the roof over my head.
The fifth step suggests figuring out your strengths, which was a very tall order for me. Looking back, I have been told that I am easy to talk to, which would be great for me if I were extroverted, and that I have a gift for examining the tiny details in everything. How does this help me on my quest to help everyone? Being nonthreatening has the most perks out of my two main strengths. It helps people open up when they are around me, which makes it easier to talk to them about their problems. The attention to detail, I find, helps when you’re trying to compliment someone to raise their self-esteem and show them just how great they really are. When I compliment someone, I mean every word of it, so it helps to give someone a compliment that is
That is, until I was nine and fainted at the sight of my own blood when I cut my finger.
