A time when I tried something new was when I tried a burrito at a Mexican restaurant. Before I ate a burrito I never did like Mexican food, because I didn’t like trying new things. Ever since I ate that burrito, I had loved burritos because I tried something new.
When I first ate that burrito I felt like I just ate the most amazing food ever created. I thought it was so good that I wanted to eat burritos forever because it tasted so good.It was nice, warm, and tasted so good when I first bit into it. But before I tried a burrito I thought I would hate burritos because I hated Mexican food at the time.
I suggest trying new things to people because now a burrito is my favorite food just because I tried something new. I think that everyone
The sweet smell of tres leches cake baking in the oven, the overwhelming odor of tamales being made in the kitchen, the destruction and cracks of the piñata, the laughter radiating from the adults enjoying their beers. If there was one keystone that holds together my identity and life, it would be my Mexican culture. This culture has an extensive history and tradition that unifies people together. There exist many stereotypes and stigmas recently about Hispanics due to the ongoing War on Drugs. Some people are afraid of us. There is plenty of hateful rhetoric spread around, and I am here to prove those assertions wrong. There is a certain degree of pride in being Hispanic. What many fail to realize is that wherever I go, whoever I encounter,
I had so many different dreams about my future, it is amazing when you are a child, you have dream such as being a mother, a wife, becoming a pop star, creating an amusement park and writing story books. It was only later, that realize that was a fantasy. Life has taught me is valued and to understand my worth, qualities, and skills, which allowed me to be the person, I am today. Working at Taco Bell has taught me about being responsible and accountable for my action as well considered by others. There are many roles that make this job run smoothly: that being on time for work matter, and making sure I know my schedule, is what taco bell expected from me. I learned that the key to making customers keep coming back over and over is a warm smile,
We were supposed to enjoy the Fourth of July happily together in Columbus. We were going to have fun. It was never the idea for me to end up with Matt in a near empty Taco Bell, with only a few teenagers on the other end, close to the door, and Matt crying. Because our plans never really work out, there's always something to shit on them. This time a proposal from Matt. Well, it didn't really shit on our plans. Basically, the fact that Shawn said 'No' shat on Matt's plan. When I hug Matt, I notice some of the teens staring. Well, whatever, I understand why they are curious, it's not every day that you see a dude crying in Taco Bell.
I was sitting on the couch with my brother and sister watching television when my mom and dad came to ask us if we wanted to go to Mexico with our aunt and cousins and we said yes we were all excited because we were finally going to get to meet our family members that live there.

When a person orders it is different from the one before. There are many different sounds in the dining area such as the many people talking and rock’n roll music. Others sounds include the sizzle of the meat, bubbling of soda, thudding of boxes, and the walking of people shoes. Many of the smells may tie into each other like the smokiness of meat. The different kinds of smell of spices that will make my nose burn. Other smells in the air like the smell grease that’s if you stay near the fryer. A fresh clean smell is the cleanliness of the bleach and the cleaning supplies. Tortillas have the smell of the freshness of wheat and corn. These is unique throughout all the tastes in the store. Many tastes are rich and full of color, other tastes are salty, spicy or sweet. Other taste have soft or crunchiness to make the food standout. There are many things in the restaurant that are touch throughout. Usually they are mostly found in the dining area like this for the table, the roundness of the cup, does soft cushion of the booth or chair, the coolest of the air, the hot food, the softness of the tortilla and the roughness of the chips. So many of the feelings and the uniqueness of the
Have you ever went somewhere for the first time and ate delicious food? Well you’ll have to read more to find out! Everything was so new and yet so familiar. Places I have seen and places I have not. A new and funny feeling swam through my body unsure what to think about this feeling. Never felt it before, and I somehow knew it wouldn’t be that last.
“Don’t stop, keep going because something great is waiting for us on the other side,” my mother kept reminding me while crossing the desert. Crossing the desert to come to the United States was the hardest thing I had to. This was not optional; it was necessary if we wanted to survive. Crossing the desert is challenging, scary, and tiring
Last summer before school started my sister and I were told that we were going on a trip to Ute Lake in New Mexico. We had never been to New Mexico before, so we were super excited. We were told that we were taking my dad's cousin's jet ski with us. My sister and I could not wait to go to New Mexico.
It's been eight years. Eight years. Held captive against my will. I'm beginning to believe that I'll also die here.
Kaely Camacho, also known as Ca”Nacho Cheese”, Is someone I was close with a cared very deeply for since my early childhood. In 8th grade, the year 2012, I lost my best friend. This time I couldn’t fix it with a simple “I’m sorry”. It wasn’t expected or even properly explained. On April 13, 2012, my 13-year-old best friend died in a car accident. She had the prettiest blonde hair, and blue eyes that compared to the ocean water.
College was a culture shock. Gone were my Asian and Latino friends with whom I found it so easy to relate. I was in a new environment surrounded by strangers from different places and backgrounds. I initially dealt with this by gravitating toward people who were similar to me or appeared to share the same values I had grown up with. Instead of trying to develop relationships with students from diverse backgrounds, I put up my guard, with doubts about how I could relate to them. However, everything changed one fateful night in the college dining hall at the much-anticipated fajita bar.
The urge to type one more sentence was overwhelming. I could never finish the last few chapters. My inspiration slipped through my fingers like a breeze blowing through the leaves of a tree. After the crash, my focus disappeared and so did my brother. His death affected everyone in our small town we called home. He was the star quarterback at the high school, the family favorite, the smartest in his class, but besides that he was my best friend. My parents were devastated that he wasn’t there so they decided to move all the way from Hawaii to a small town in Florida close to the beach with my aunt Bailey, without me. Aunt Bailey was always the adventurer. I believe that’s where Cody and I got it from. Our parents made it pretty obvious that
I felt really good during and after the experience. During the experience I was a little nervous because I didn’t know if I was going o like the food. I usually don’t experiment with most foods but I feel better now that I tried something new. After the experience was great. The experience was so good I would check it off that I wouldn’t
