When I finish my schooling I plan on going to a water restoration trade school where I plan to become a master water and fire restorer, and open my own Servpro franchise. I believe opening my own Servpro franchise is perfect for me since I enjoy the work, this field of work is very rewarding and I get to do what I want with my business.
In this field of work it's extremely physical and demanding. You have to cut out heavy soaked drywall for hours, and once done carry huge pieces of equipment to set up to dry. This work is very exhausting, but it keeps me in shape and I feel good about myself knowing what I did helped someone else. I ultimately enjoy field work especially when I work with my friend Gavin. He helps make the work which feels endless
My identity can be defined by moments in my life. Moving to Canada, learning English and going to high school are three major moments in my life. Going through these experiences have changed the person in me and made me more confident, stronger, better in everything.
Well I hope to have gotten my bachelor’s degree and be pursuing my masters. Have a house that I can call my own and working somewhere in the mortuary home. I have always loved to help people that are in need for some support mentally, physically or emotionally. Working in the mortuary home has been my dream although I know it isn’t for everyone. You got to prepare yourself for the worst, but always expect the best. It’s a challenge but I’m ready for it. If I could step into the future and see how my life would be ten years from now, my desire would be that I have gotten my Masters degree and finishing up my residential license for funeral business. Why funeral director? Well, life has put its fair share of deaths in my life. I lost some people near and dear to my heart that has made me want to help people during that transition. This world is full of people, and if nobody does the job then who will? But, I believe if we sit and complain and don’t act on it, nobody will ever try to do it.
My goal is to finish my degree regardless of any obstacle that comes my way. I plan to complete my degree, find a job in my profession where it be in the state or out of state. My ultimate goal is own my facility and eventually expand my facility to having a major facility and a smaller facility.
What I want to be. I want to be a Mental Health Counselor, or Marriage and Family Therapist. This career interest me a lot. I’ve always believed that I can relate to a lot of people's problems because i’ve been through similar situations in life. I would understand what they are going through. There are many careers that interest me, but two that I am most serious about are Mental Health Counseling or Marriage and Family Therapist or a Social Worker.
With the experience and knowledge I will gain in college, I plan to open my own recording studio in Atlanta, and eventually expand it to several different cities and states around the country. I know that with my devotion, and leadership I will be running a successful business that came from following my dreams. I also know that college is the bridge that will lead me to these possibilities in my future.
Ultimately, the completion of my degree and continuing to be successful at my current role will be the best recipe for future opportunities
My future plans are to carry out to be a diesel mechanic. I will probably go to a WyoTech Institute to get a degree in diesel mechanics. Then after that I will probably come back home and start my own business as a diesel shop or a farm equipment repair shop. But after high school I do want to be a diesel mechanic. If starting my own business fails, then I will go work for a company where I can be a diesel
I’ve always asked myself,” what does it really take to make it big? To play amongst the greats, how could I do that? Me, Skylar Ross, a young man with this desire, the passion, wanting to play side by side with legends, to become someone people talk about, is what has pushed me all these years. It drove me to become a better player, to become more informed about the sport. This also influenced me to become more intertwined with school, that way I could have a better chance at getting a scholarship at a college.
My professional goal will be to obtain a new career that I will appreciate. Within, the next few months, as I get closer to graduating, I will open up my opportunities by applying for new jobs. I will focus on receiving a job where I can SERVE and enjoy.
Ms. McIntyre sorry to bother, but I’m so stressed out about school. I don’t understand what I did wrong this semester. I was on the SAP appeal and I had to pass all my classes and do study hours each week. I did everything I was supposed and work very hard. To receive an email at 2a.m. saying that I failed my SAP Appeal and will not be eligible for finical aid, so that means I have to do another appeal. With me doing excellent this semester I thought that I wouldn’t have to do another appeal. First it was one of my classes I was afraid I was going to fail but I passed, then being told that I won’t receive any finical aid after spring semester 2016, but we talked about so know I’m okay and ready to finish so I can graduate and then get another
My goal is to be a High School Special Education teacher and teach dance in the afternoon and evening. This January I started attending Brigham Young University-Idaho with a double major of Child Development and Dance. I chose to be a Special Education teacher to improve the lives of these students and teach them they have an essential part and purpose in the world. I love working with these special individuals and had the unbelievable opportunity to secure an internship with the Miss Amazing California State Pageant. The experience is one I will never forget and I hope to one day become a pageant director for their organization. As my future second job, I intend to be a dance teacher and choreographer. Dance is an enormous passion of mine
Culture and identity are inextricably linked concepts. Identity is formed by your culture and in turn your identity shapes the respective cultures of the groups you identify with. I belong to many different cultural groups, and my identity is a complex web of competing and conflicting beliefs, experiences, and characteristics. My identity is not only complex, but also dynamic, as the experiences I have change who I am.
One aspect of my identity that has shaped my life experience and the way I see the world is my race. I am an African- American who has Nigerian descent from both parents. Growing up African American is hard for many of us, but we always come together to help each other out. We get judged for our skin color, religion, sexuality, and economic status. When I was younger, I always thought about what other people would say about me and how I looked. Even though it was hard seeing how other races portrayed my race, I have learned to embrace my skin color and not let anybody judge me. The society believes that African Americans are lazy, uneducated, and violent. Things people say about me and my race only make me want to prove myself to them that I am proud of my race and would never change myself for anybody.
The career I’m looking forward to pursuing in, is to own a business in lawn care and landscaping.
My career is being an Oil Well Driller which is a job where you go to a curtain area and to a curtain rig and work on that rig, land or off shore rig, to drill oil for curtain company and make a lot of money.
