My spring project was at YMCA. At the YMCA, I was doing different physical activities with children and adults. The first activity that my team and I did was parachute. I have never play parachute and it was very new to me. When the event start, my team and I started to play with parachute by ourselves so we can get used to it and thinking different ways to use the parachute for the children to have fun. At first, there were not many children coming around, so my team and I advertised it by playing around with it and smiling which led children to be interested in the activity. The parachute activity went really well. Adults were able to participate with their children in the activity and they were having fun and enjoying themselves. Another
In 2025, I will be twenty-nine years old and hopefully married. I will be married to my significant other of ten years Earnest Palmer III, who is a dentist. I would have been recently graduating with a bachelor’s in Culinary Arts and trying to plan to open my own restaurant, BubbaD’s Eateries. Knowing my big headed husband of mine, I probably had a baby then and trying to have another baby. Hopefully, by then Earnest will get rid of the idea naming our son, King. We will be living in the suburbs near New York City but working in the city. Being a woman with great memory, I probably wrote a memoir about my crazy life and trying to sell it to a publisher. If none of the publishers wants to publish my memoir, I will probably sell it the Lifetime
Week one has passed by quickly! I think this week was very successful and I can say that I have learned many new things. This week has been an experience for me learning things about the business world. I am not a business major so I was not expecting to take these classes. I was assigned them, but have found them very beneficial. As I read through the first couple of chapters I read things I had heard before. This was a good thing that I could put the information with the terms I had heard previously.

I believe that the best dreams are ones that you share with people, who conceive them be so preposterous that they cannot help but laugh in your face that you could even think of possibly reaching that point one day. Entering High School, I had begun taking basketball more seriously than any other sport and had the goal of earning a Division 1 scholarship. Which would be the first step in making my dream of playing professionally a reality.
We human beings are all works of art. Every experience that we have is a new stroke of paint to our canvas. The things that influence us do the same. I am not a completed work of art, but I can show my progress of what makes me. I am influenced by the media, my teachers, and the neighborhoods I lived in. Now here is the showing of my work.
It's been a very busy summer so far. At the end of July, we returned from 23 days in Germany and Scotland.
My biggest challenge starting this program is getting acclimated to a school setting and schedule once again. I started my Master’s program in 2008 and I completed my degree requirements in 2010. Since then, I’ve begun working full-time whereas during that timeframe I was working on a part-time schedule. While working I’ve accumulated a number of assignments that I am responsible for and my work schedule changes often due to those assignments. So, not only do my duties change but my schedule changes quite often. With my current assignment, I’m working as a New Hire Instructor for a federal agency and I am assuming all duties of this assignment along with my regular position.
What did you learn over the summer? Everybody has something that they enjoyed learning during summer school. Maybe what one person enjoyed learning another did not. It is ok for people to enjoy learning completely different things. There are many different things that were taught during the summer like lessons on life, how to write essays, how to take notes properly, and many more things. These are my favorite things I learned this summer and this is why.
Right now, I think I have a pretty solid web series pilot idea. The only thing I am having trouble with is actually coming up with future episodes. I am currently taking FEA 409 the episodic writing class, and I need to write a pilot, I have an idea I love, but writing something that continue on is really difficult. I find myself having the same struggles in my episodic class as well in this one. I am so used to just writing a short script and then moving on to the next thing. I know I have a relatable idea, but putting it into words is what is giving me a hard time. I thought my first draft of my pilot was okay, I think my pilot needs a lot of improvement, especially the dialogue, but I think I got a decent story to play around with. I am
At the beginning of the year I knew that we would need to create an 8th grade project. I already knew what I wanted to accomplish and thought that it was going to be super effortless. Unfortunately, it wasn’t. I realized that we must include the community with our project. Since I choose photography I couldn’t come up with one concept to create. So, I asked my Uncle if he would be my mentor because his company employs the marginalized to work and produce products for cameras. They are employed there for about a year or until they feel confident to look for other jobs they are interested in. When we first met I did not fully realize what I wanted to achieve, so he gave me some ideas on how I could go see his company. I could then see what
The more we get into the Capstone Project Proposal the more I feel overwhelmed. I feel like I spend hours reading the material in our books and still do not comprehend what I should do for the assignments. I plan to focus of one topic of reading at a time. I will research more articles for my Capstone Project Proposal. Once week one’s written papers are back, I will review my mistakes and modify my work in order for me to have a better foundation moving forward.
When I was younger, my mom used to play old comedy tapes in the car when we would drive
Summer 2014 was one to remember. I spent three weeks in Illinois with my cousin, Anna, who was two years younger than I at the time. Meaning I was 17 and she was just a mere 15 years old. Most people would think that since I’m older I would be the one to corrupt her and insist that we do wild and crazy things. However, it was quite the opposite.
The overall experience that I had for my summer project was good, my 50 pictures that I did take was all random places that I went over the summer. I had a good time taking the pictures and the experience was cool. If I had to change one thing about this project it would be the time I took the picture, because if I took the pictures earlier in the summer than later on I would have more pictures on my project. Mostly because I started taking pictures the last few weeks of summer, and I had to rush to get as many pictures I can to be done with the project. But everything else was pretty good and I thought I did a dent job on this
I notice many things about my voice. Whether I talk with a vocal fry around my friends, which seems to be a California specialty, or in a higher register with teachers, the placement of my voice constantly varies. I am aware that my timbre is high and that my tone is bright, and, to state it plainly, I enjoy that. However, there are aspects of my voice that I notice and dislike; my voice breaks between my lower and middle register noticeably and gets tired quickly. When I sing I am most aware of my voice because I am concentrating on so many different aspects of technique such as breathing, placement, and tone. Singing only feels good to me when it is extremely resonant and focused, because that feels free but controlled. I am also aware I have a lot of range left to conquer – I know I have notes in my whistle tone register, but sometimes have trouble accessing them.
