One day I went to the columbus zoo with my family it was so much fun. There were a lot of animals that were thair. There are animals that are there that are my favorite. The zoo is always filled with new animals every day. The animals I like are the lions, birds, and the the sea animals I like the manatees, and sharks are my favorite. What I like the best is the sea part of the zoo I like that part because I learned new things about the sea naum animals.
When I first walked in the zoo the first thing I smelled is the fresh air. I started to walk more and more in and the smell got worse it smelled so bad. I went to the back of the zoo and that is were it smelled very bad. When I am in the front it smelled like fresh trees. When I past the restaurant it smelled so good the food there was so good. I like the food there not as much as i like the animals.

I like the birds because the birds are nice to hear. The background you can hear the lions, monkeys, flamingos, and snow leopards. I had trouble hearing the birds that were their and the birds were so loud. I went to the lions and they roar so loud I could not hear my family. After I the lions i went inside to see the manatees. In the water part you could see everything that lives underwater.
The water part of the zoo they had like a touch tank that was my favorite. The stingrays are my favorite touch tank animals that is the best. The manatees are my favorite sea animals and sharks. My family loves the water part of the zoo.
The reason why I like manatees because they make very funny sounds. I like the lions that the lions make and the roars that they make that was funny to. My favorite thing to do is looking at the animals and seeing what they do. I also like the food that they have their the food there is good. My mom like the penguins and how they eat the
Columbus Zoo also has a 22-acre water park known as Zoombezi Bay. This water park is its own section that’s attached to the zoo. This water park has slides and pools for small children, as well as adult thrill-seekers. There are 2 wave pools, a lazy river, 17 water slides, an adult only river where you can drink alcoholic beverages and relax, and several other different water rides. After you walk around the zoo on a hot day, you’re ready to run into the nearest pool. I’m not big on heights, or thrill but still love to have fun and there were several slides, raft rides, and things to do that I had a great time. As well as my wife and 2 boys. My favorite water slide is a two-person raft, where you’re riding in a tunnel and you come out into a bowl that takes you around an around. This was the one ride that I didn’t mind waiting in line for. Unfortunately, Detroit Zoo doesn’t offer anything like Zoombezi Bay, so on a hot summer
The exhibits are also very fascinating, and after going to the zoo you can catch a glimpse of a certain animal's way of life. Without zoos we wouldn't have the unbelievable experience of seeing Earth's most beautiful life forms. Zoos keep endangered species safe, and out of harms way. We need to start caring about the life forms on this planet. Showing each animal compassion, and love. My knowledge on zoos has been stretched after my reading analysis today. Based off of the articles, "The Stripes Will Survive", "The Zoos Go Wild", and "Our Beautiful Macaws and Why They Need Enrichment", we can truly get in-depth analysis about the role zoo's
The first reason why students should support zoos is because zoos help fight wildlife extinction. To begin, zoos prioritize much of their time researching their animals. The zoos’ main goal is conservation. In a zoo, conservation is the big thing. They focus of research, preservation, and support wildlife population as much as possible. In zoos, they must research to know everything about animals to help them. They must study the animals’ nutrition, social interaction, behavior, and much more. Also, zoos help endangered animals by taking them to a safe environment. In zoos animals are protected from
This popular local attraction is relatively inexpensive for seniors, adults, and children, and it is free for little ones who are under 24 months of age. The zoo features an impressive assortment of animals, from polar bears to ring-tailed lemurs. Going to this zoo and aquarium is an ideal way to spend a day when you don’t have much money to spare. You can eat at one of the on-site restaurants, and you may even go shopping, as well. You might explore the grounds on foot, or you can take one of the trams that travel throughout the zoo. The aquarium is as exciting as the rest of the zoo, and it contains fascinating animals such as sharks and penguins.
Zoos present a certain blend of nature and culture. They have always provided a way to bring natural wildlife and urban Americans together as a means of entertainment. Yet, throughout the years the role of zoos have changed. Though once used for amusement, zoos are now being used for education on preservation and the welfare of endangered species. One may wonder where and how the idea of zoos started and just how they, and the environment around them, have changed throughout history.
Whether it is by using the written word, a speech, or any other medium, in order to convey a message to an audience, one must have an effective way of communicating one's ideas. The Greek philosopher Aristotle believed that effective speakers use three kinds of appeals to make their arguments convincing; ethos, the credibility of the speaker, logos, the speaker's actual message, and pathos, or the emotional appeal the speaker arises in its audience. These rhetorical appeals are present in many aspects of everyday life, including in websites. Websites such as the El Paso Zoological Society use these three appeals to effectively communicate with those who visit their page.
We all ate breakfast at the table. The breakfast that morning was cereal, milk and toast with cheese. The toast and cheese were my favorite. It was cheesy and delicious. After I ate breakfast, I got ready to go to the zoo. My family and I drove together to the zoo. The road were longer compared to Tobago roads. There were pretty trees and flowers along the way. When we arrived at the zoo. I saw a lot of people and children entering the zoo. The zoo was so big and long. When I first saw the length of the zoo, I was angry at my parents for dragging me to the zoo, but after a while I was so happy to walk around and see all the animals. There were so many animals at the zoo. My sister loves seeing the monkeys. My brother loves seeing the pandas. I love seeing the elephants and the guerrillas who had a banana in his mouth. It was so cool to see all these animals that I had been reading about in my science books. My favorite place in the zoo was the Elephant Community Center. It was so cool to see the huge elephants eat and bath themselves. It was so cool to see the monkey climb over our heads. The smelliest place at the zoo was the Gorilla Groves. The odors coming out of that place were worse than the poor man on the street. When I entered the Gorilla 's Grove, I hold my nose and I had to breath in my hand until we left. The last place that we visited at the zoo was the Bird House. In the Bird House, we saw a lot of colorful and
Founded in 1875 in Buffalo, New York, the Buffalo Zoo quickly became a popular tourist attraction. However, as time went on, the outdated buildings and unenthusiastic employees led to a decline in zoo visitors. The zoo began to face several challenges, and the most significant was the fear of losing its accreditation. The president at the time devised a plan to move the Buffalo Zoo to Delaware Park, but that was quickly blocked by employees of the zoo and members of the community. With no support and no where to turn, the president decided to resign. This left the zoo with no plan, and no one to guide them. After extensive searching, the zoo made the decision to hire 43-year-old Donna Fernandes. Donna had an extensive background in education and experience in management and caring for animals. Although Donna seemed like the perfect candidate for the position, she was warned that the employees and community would be reluctant to accept her due to previous negative experiences with poor management and failed attempts to save the zoo. This did not deter Donna, and she worked hard to change those negative experiences into positive ones.
The El Paso Zoo is a well-known for making everyone’s arrival one to remember. Each time I would go to the zoo, I always leave with a smile on my face because of the great service they bring towards El Paso. The reason why I decided to write about the zoo is because I was once a worker there. It is marvelous seeing all of those magnificent animals. They must be at least twenty different types of species we have in El Paso. Which is totally awesome.
2. Zoo Miami: Different from your zoo back home, this is the oldest and largest zoo in the state, and the only tropical zoo within the continental US. With 900 animals on over 280 acres, including a new lion cub named Satu, you and the kids will both love Zoo Miami.
In some places of the zoo, the animals are set free and you can touch them. There is also a show with a talking parrot in it. The show always entertains the audience, because the parrot does cool tricks. One of my favorite things out of the zoo was the dinosaur world. In the dinosaur world, there are tall dinosaur that will spray water on you and there will be a pile of dirt and little kids can find bones there.
Zebras are undeniably the coolest animal on earth except of course Lions, Tigers, and Sharks. But other than those they are the coolest.
Each three-day break provided a multitude of opportunities for an untethered 19-year-old to exercise his independence, sew some oats and inevitably get into trouble. Combine that with an abundance of alcohol in a country where the drinking age seems to be non-existent, and the mind would provide a scenario designed to test my limits and nothing seemed impossible!
I never really liked the idea of zoos. Younger me thought that zoos were the epitome of animal cruelty; encapsulation of creatures was an evil decision in my eyes. This being said, I felt more than a tad bit hypocritical at the twinge of excitement I experienced after learning about the volunteer program at the Pittsburgh Zoo and PPG Aquarium. Despite my pervious assumptions, I knew that this was an opportunity I just couldn’t pass up. I applied to work alongside the
The sun was shining, the sky was spotted with clouds, and the wind was whistling as it passed through the trees. Overall, it was the perfect day to visit the zoo. Smiling, happy children bounded beside me as I walked underneath the large, blue and yellow sign announcing “The Colorado Zoo.” As I walked onto the sidewalk, I looked out over the “habitats.” The big, colorful signs advertising the exotic animals “brought from all over the world!” Animals that were taken from their home, taken from their habitats, and taken to a world where they are put on display. Animals who are forced to live out their lives in zoos in unhealthy, degrading, and devastating ways.
