When I was younger, we would go to Mexico every year. My Grandpa would always give us a bag of our favorite candy. The day when we would leave to go to Mexico, I would stay up late and look at the beautiful view of every city we went through. I would sleep so late that it would make me think that we would be in Mexico already. The city that I really like was Oklahoma City, when I saw all the tall buildings. When we were driving we went under the highway bridges, and I always thought that it would break, because there would be semi- trucks that are driving on it. I would always close my eyes and pray that it would not collapse on us. We would always stop in Pearsall, Texas and stay at the same hotel. I would always happy to go to the hotel because …show more content…
I would always pray before we leave the hotel I would pray to god to take care of my family, and that we get to my grandparents’ house safety and that nothing bad would happen. There is this little town that is five minutes away of the town that my relatives live. The town before we arrive to ours, it’s small, the roads are narrow. There’s this Plaza, the church is there and there’s beautiful pink, red, yellow, and purple flowers in front of the church, and there was a lot of angel sculptures. The angel sculpture were looking at the sky, looking happy and they were holding their hands together. After we drove through that town those five minutes felt it’s been two hours. My butt started to hurt so bad that I needed to sit on my mom’s lap because my butt was numb and it was in pain. I kept telling my mom that I wanted to be there and just jump out of the truck and run to my grandparents and hug them and kiss them. When we arrive to my grandparents’ house, my grandparents’ dogs always barks when someone comes to driveway. My Grandpa would always be there because the dogs were really loud with their barking. My Grandpa would yell my grandma’s name, tell her to hurry
Waving goodbye from the backseat of the car, as we pull out of my parent’s driveway. Looking out the window at the oddly, white shaped clouds. Thinking, I had never been away from my parents and my younger sister for so long, even though it was only for two weeks. I was excited and scared all at once, but I wasn’t too thrilled about the whole 29-hour drive there. Hoping that the trip would go well and nothing bad will happen to us.
We had been waiting for this trip for years. Every 5 years we go on a trip to someplace fun. When five years passed after our trip to disneyland we were all waiting to go on some other adventure. I had done this twice, but 2 things about our trip this year were special.
It was November 20, 2016 the day that I had left for Cancun Mexico. Me, my brother, my mom, and my Grandma and Grandpa all 5 of us in my Yukon Denali on our way the the Hilton Double Tree. It took about an hour and half to get to Chicago Illinois, but on the way there we had to make a few pit stops in Valpo to get my brother some flip-flops that we ended up losing in Mexico. On our way there we had kept in contact with the other 9 people we were going with, My cousin Sean had checked in on us a few times, and asked us how far we were from the place we were heading which was called Portillo's. It's a restaurant that is amazing all of us were going to meet there for dinner before we would all head to the hotel. When we had gotten there my 3
“Come on guys, going to be late”, my brothers told me and my sister as well as my sister in law. Running down our long stairs in Mexico. Wishing I could live there, but things aren’t as they were before. Wearing long brown boots and all dressed up to go watch the bulls. Walking for about 10 minutes to get there, stopped by my cousin’s store get get some drinks. Finally got there with my family. Trying to get a spot to sit at for a nice view.
My parents are not from this country. They come from a small town in Mexico. They came here when they were really young, leaving everything and everyone behind. A few years ago we left for our parents to reunite with their families. Mexico changed a lot, it was now a country with very little resources for families as big as ours. At first we didnt struggle with money, we had opened a small liquor store. Things didnt work out and we had to close. We now faces many problems. We had no moreny, our parents had no jobs, and it was 5 kids and 2 dogs. We all slept in one tiny room. We slept on the bed, while our parents slept on a blanket on the floor. School was a year behind compared to the US school curriculum. I wanted to be someone in life, have
The urge to type one more sentence was overwhelming. I could never finish the last few chapters. My inspiration slipped through my fingers like a breeze blowing through the leaves of a tree. After the crash, my focus disappeared and so did my brother. His death affected everyone in our small town we called home. He was the star quarterback at the high school, the family favorite, the smartest in his class, but besides that he was my best friend. My parents were devastated that he wasn’t there so they decided to move all the way from Hawaii to a small town in Florida close to the beach with my aunt Bailey, without me. Aunt Bailey was always the adventurer. I believe that’s where Cody and I got it from. Our parents made it pretty obvious that
When we were little, we were raised by both parents and lived in our ranch in Reynosa, Mexico. It had our animals that we cared of. This life was very calm and all of our family came to visit us, we used to make barbecue every weekend, and we got together and had a great time at the ranch. I missed those days where you could party all night and nobody would mess with anybody.
June 17,2014 it was a day when I went to Mexico. That morning I went to the airport of savannah. My plane was at 7:30, I left my house at 5:45 to go to the airport with my family. I got in a red truck, inside the truck had leather seats, black carpets, three seats in the front, and three seats in the back. My uncle was driving, my dad was in the passenger seat, and my mom was in the back with me and my brother Justin. My aunt was driving in her own car. Her car is a van, the color of the van is tan, two seats in the front, two seats in the middle, in the middle of the two seats there was a path so the people can go to the back, and at the back there was three seats. My cousin lindsey and my other cousin joseph were in the car too.
Like every Tuesday at 4 pm, I was sitting in the living room doing some homework when I received a text message from a friend telling me that Justin Bieber was going to make an appearance in Gavanna at Saturday. Since that moment I knew I could not miss it. Gavanna is a Latin night club located at the Design District. It is known from Venezuelans as the best night club in Miami. All Venezuelans go there, if they come to Miami for vacations they will go to Gavanna to party. Also, in Venezuela everyone talks about it.
It is our first day here on the new land. It is like nothing we have ever seen and we will set out in group to explore the new world in the morning, for now we must set up camp. I hope to find gold and possibly native people these so called savages and convert them to Christianity.

Two years… It’s mind boggling to admit that it has been a full two years since my vacation in Mexico. So much time has passed, and yet, those memories still feel as bright and warm as the day they were made. I can still remember the excitement that coursed through my body as we left the airport, heading to our resort. I can still remember straining my ears to try and interpret the languages that were spoken around me, the kind smiles I’d receive once they realized I had no idea what they were saying. I can still remember the dancing rainbow I’d visit every night as the sun slowly crept below the ever-shifting blue horizon. If I close my eyes, it almost feels as though I’m back in Mexico, arriving once again for the first time, piling out of
Dangerous-looking black heels stepped out of a battered red pickup truck, Arizona dust swirling around the tires. The engine sputtered into silence, and a tall woman with piercing, grey eyes murmured something quietly to her driver before she closed the truck door. He nodded from behind black sunglasses and started the truck again, driving it behind an abandoned shack that sat some distance away from the road.
As my eyes lit up like the fourth of July, I stood with my feet stuck to the ground, and my nerves tingle with happiness because of how marvelous it was. I didn't know a Mexico resort could be so nice.
