Personal Narrative: Response To The Town Of Clay

At the request of the OCSO I responded to the scene in the town of Clay, (Onondaga County), New York on 02/19/2017. I arrived on scene at 19:33 and met with Deputy Tanya Wickline who briefed me regarding the case. The weather was cloudy with no precipitation with the outdoor temperature of 50⁰F. The green colored two story house where a family of five and a dog lived, had a paved path to its path and green lawn surrounding on either side which had snow on it. The driveway had two cars parked in it and had a mailbox beside its entrance. While facing the house, on the right side there was a small mud path that led to a single door garage. It was grey on the inside and had black, gray and white stripes on the outside. The quad walking cane which was said to have been found underneath him was given to us by Deputy Robyn Stark. It was photographed and appeared to have a metallic body with a black handle. The bottom part of the cane’s body had ten holes that seems to help with adjusting its height; the fourth hole had a metallic projection. The cane ends in black rod and a black flat piece, from which four legs extend and end in what appears to be rubber tips. The ends seem to have dirt, mud and other residues on them. There were no animals, drugs/drug paraphernalia, money/valuables, signs of forced entry found on the scene. A preliminary external examination of the body was performed (See Body Inspection). No other external sign of injury was observed. The body was subsequently placed into a brand new white body pouch and sealed close with a plastic evidence seal number xxxxxxx at 20:37 by the livery service (TLC), who were informed at 19:11.
