Our results now and then When I was in the Noticeable Department our manager Jermaine Armstrong was going to be transferring to another site and we would not have a replacement for him for some time. Before he left he split the department responsibilties up between myself and Josh Heisserer. Some of my responsibilities included completing all the WDP(5Rocks) for everyone including the T5’s. This did not set well with them. They felt this was managers work and did not want a new team leader with only a few years at the
It was the fall of 2003, a cool and cloudless California morning. My parents, who dressed me up with a polo shirt and khakis, waited patiently for the school bus as I looked fearfully at what was going to happen. I didn't want to leave my house, nor did I want to go to school. I was a shy boy, who didn't like doing anything but staying at home and minding my own business. When the school bus finally came, I climbed on to the yellow bus and looked outside fearfully as my parents waved goodbye. I was too scared for the first day of school, which helped me shape the person I am today. Throughout my life, I've been to different places, from Oklahoma to a whole different country in a different continent miles away. During that time, I was able to shape myself with the cultural experiences I got through being in a multicultural environment,
My current job is an ABA therapist for the school district. Last week, one of the children on my case load was having a lot of behavior issues in the classroom. In order to help shape his behaviors, a collaboration took place. The classroom teacher, the lead therapist, the autism specialist, another line therapist and myself brainstormed possible strategies to put in place. We all had to observe the behaviors and try to determine the antecedent. From there, we sat down as a team to decide what behaviors we wanted to target first and what strategies we would use. We have all begun to put the strategies into place and we are seeing significant improvement in some of the behaviors. We have all taken turns in dealing
Throughout the fiscal year I was working as member of both teams Read and Blue. Time spent in Blue team allowed me to get knowledge in technical and functional areas needed to support DC4. Working in Red team I got a chance to navigate thru ambiguous situations, from working on many different applications and various different front line cases.
Today I wrote this letter to introduce myself to you for the purpose of improving our collaboration during this semester. As a first son and a fifth child in the family, I’ve received many loves from my parents and my four older sisters. My family migrated from Vietnam to the United States five years ago and carried our new hopes and dreams to this place. I was having a tough time in maintaining my native language and learning English at the same time. I don’t have any interest in reading books because I‘ve never really enjoy any book that I’ve read in the past, or just because I haven’t read as much book as i thought I did. My goal for this year is to past every classes with an A. The reason is I don’t want to lose my financial aid, and
In team member, I have a chance to work with other people who came from different countries and nationality such as American, Jamaica, Singapore, China and Philippines. I enjoy working and talking together with a team so we exchanges ideas about daily life and tourist attraction in the U.S.A. One day, the sky is clear and the weather is very hot that made the theme park had a lot of people who went with families and friends. While I controlled the playing machine and my friends checked a safety belt of people in the train. Unfortunately, I saw the woman who was shaking and seemed to faint. I thought she had epilepsy since her shaking on the train. Furthermore, a hot weather and long queue would be a key factors to make her increase. I decided
I think our group had very good team chemistry and worked very well together. We were able to help each other and encourage each other in the whole process. During the late night in Upper Sayles or on 4th libe we were able to get the work we need to finish done but at the same time have fun. Some challenges we encountered was finding time to get together to meet up because we all were very active in extracurricular activities. I was difficult to have class work for two other classes, campus jobs, varsity sports, club sports, and dance practices and yet make time to meet, but we met this challenge and found time. Also at time during the project it was discouraging when we had to change the direction of the project also the pain staking efforts
From the beginning of the day, I was assigned the job of organising and recording the results of games into a computer program off of scorecards collected by my fellow officials. There were two other adult officials that supported me throughout the day but one particularly that introduced me to the jobs, monitored my performance and helped finalise recordings of results onto the leader board. After clearly and understandably explaining everything I had to do, the male official and her prioritised on collecting scorecards from games across the oval whilst I received them, organised them and put the results into the computer. This was an efficient way of approaching our duties, as since was just getting started and still learning,
Today after I cleaned two office in place of employee on vacation. I spotted Richard G. Stroupe standing at the back door. He asked why he was not allowed back at the facility. I plainly told him it was because of his poor job performance.
How are things going? I see that life has been exciting for you these past few months, that's is so great to see! I want to follow up with you on a conversation we had a few months back when I invited you to a Challenge Group, I can't remember where we exactly left the conversation, I do remember you wanted to lose some fat, get toned, and be healthier in general. I am leading a Challenge Group that starts in February and wanted to see if you, or anyone you know, might be interested in joining. I'm specifically looking for ladies that want to get started losing weight over 30 days.
My best collaborative team experience was in an extracurricular club where we had to design an underwater robot for competition. Like any other challenges, the robot had parameters that it must follow such as a weight limitation, the amount of motors that it could use, and the cost of materials could not exceed twenty dollars. My teammates and I brainstormed and mapped out any and all ideas for our robot before we critique the designs. Afterwards we looked at which plans were realistic in that the robot could be built in the 6 weeks we were given for the challenge. Once we came to a consensus on our plan for the robot, we all agreed to meet every Tuesday and Thursday to work on constructing it. Every member contributed to the final design
The person I interview was my very passionate and intuitive friend. A very loyal yet pessimistic person I asked him why he is the way he is. What did he experience in childhood that made his perspective on life change? “I grew up in Eagle Rock. There was, and I'm pretty sure there is still is a lot of shootings, gang members, and a lot of Mexican culture. Growing up I was taught to work. I've been working since I was 9 and around the age of 16 I was using my social security. Being the child of immigrant parents I wasn't privileged.I was taught to work for the things in life." Like myself, many first-generation children grow up under confusion and stress. Our parents left their life behind to start a better and new life full of opportunities
Good afternoon. Coach Josh and I would like to welcome you to the team. We are looking forward to working with your kids this Falls season. We have simple goals, work hard, support each other, and have fun. Our team practices on Thursday at 5:30PM on field McK-3A at McKee Road Park. This Thursday will be our first
¨Stay strong.Finish strong.¨ A phrase I hear constantly during track practice. It could be said just to encourage runners to hurry up and finish faster, but I use it on and off the track. When I was six years old, I was left in the care of my grandmother my mother had left me and my father stayed in California while my mom came back to Washington alone after she found out she was pregnant with me. At such a young age, I was confused and couldn't comprehend what was going on. Being the oldest child I had to take on the role of an adult in a household of my grandma,my handicapped auntie, and my two younger siblings which was a huge responsibility for a ten year old. I lost an important part of my childhood having to mature so early. I did the
Throughout organizational behaviors we learned a lot about developing relationships, group cohesion, and team norms / values. On October 6 and November 17, we worked together in our teams to complete different activates with different instructions. For our first challenge we had to build a tower using objects that we put into a trash bag. We were judged on Beauty, Height, and strength. We had a certain time frame to build our tours. On November 17 we were paired up with a different team and instructed to build a bridge. Each team had to start from their own sides and meet in the middle. The challenge was that only two team members from each side could talk to each other and communicate about our ideas for constructing the bridge.
I believe that I have the ability to work independent and collaboratively with others. This has demonstrated through my capability to communicate and positive interact with others. During my professional career, I have worked as part of a team and understand the importance of teamwork. As a team member, I have been mindful of my role and the role of others to ensure successful outcomes.
