On 11/22/16, at 4:02pm, I Deputy Warden N. Christian was dispatched to the 600 block of Bedford Ave on dog at large patrol only. I arrived in the area and saw two dogs, one a small mix breed black and white and a tan and white pit bull, in the front of 681 Bedford Ave. I exited my vehicle and slowly approached the house. I knocked on the dog. Dog owner Robin Holmes-Muhammad answered the door. I asked if the two dogs on her porch belong to her, she stated that they did. I advised Ms. Holmes-Muhammad that we received a complaint that the dogs were running loose. Ms. Holmes-Muhammad apologized and took both dogs inside the house. Ms. Holmes-Muhammad stated that the tan/white pit bull does not really belong to her it was on her front porch
On 05/06/17, at 12:28pm, I Deputy Warden N. Christian was dispatched to 3162 E 5th Ave, on a dog on dog or cat attack no known owner of attack dog. I arrived at the location and met with the caller Carrie Samander and her boyfriend complainant Edward Oryan. I asked what happened, Mr. Oryan stated that he was walking his dog (grey/white Pit Bull) down the alley when the neighbor’s dog (white/brown Pit Bull) down the street (3189 E. 6th Ave) got loose and attacked his dog. Mr. Oryan dog protected him by getting in front of him and defending him against the pit bull. An unknown male Hispanic juvenile came out and tried to retrieve the white/brown pit bull. Mr. Oryan took his dog home and Ms. Samander than contacted the Franklin County Animal Care and Control (FCACC). Ms. Samander stated that this is the second instance in the last few months that this white/brown pit bull got loose and attack her dog. Ms. Samander stated the injuries to her dog are minor but, that she will still be taking her dog to his injuries looked at. On 06/20/17 at 1:50pm, I Deputy Warden N. Christian was patrolling the 2100 Block of Lynbridge Drive when I saw a brindle/white pit bull running loose in the area. I took pictures of the dog loose. I exited my vehicle and chase the pit bull to the backyard of a fence in house. I placed a leash on the pit bull and put her in my vehicle. The pit bull had no identifying tags to indicate ownership. I transported the dog to the Franklin County Animal Shelter (FCACC). Dog owner Devon Gordon redeemed the dog on 06/24/17. Ms. Gordon did not show proof of dog license or vaccinations. I issued Ms. Gordon violations for failure to license, failure to vaccinate and failure to control her dog name Baby.
On 05/08/18, at approximately 10:56am, I Deputy Warden N. Christian with Franklin County Animal Care and Control (FCACC) was dispatched to 4514 Starrett Court on a dangerous or vicious dog investigation (dog owner owner's address). I arrived on scene at approximately 11:25am. I met with victim Syed Naque, who stated he was outside his resident when a medium size dog (black) came up from behind him and bit him on his right thigh. Mr. Naque stated the dog continue to come at him in a aggressive manner even after he went inside the house, the dog would charged the side door. A next door neighbor had to get the dog to leave the area. Mr. Naque stated the dog owner did come over to apologize in regards to the incident. I explained Mr. Naque
1. Never fear pit bulls are here, these pets are not dangerous at all. Pit bulls can be allowed as pets because, they are working dogs, and are used as hunters and guardians. They also are used in war to help win battles. The pit bulls can be very good at helping.
On 07/14/16 at 7:07pm, I was dispatched to 1494 Cypresswood Court on a dog at large patrol only. I was arrived at the location and was flagged down by the complainant. The complainant stated the dog was running loose near Dublin Granville Road, her and her husband chase the dog in this general area to prevent the dog from getting hit by a car. The dog was in the backyard of 1494 Cypresswood Court. I enter the backyard and was able to place a leash on the dog. I place the dog in my van. Dog owner Heather Davis reclaimed the dog on 07/15/2016. Ms. Davis was unable to show proof of dog license and vaccinations. I issued Ms. Davis violations for failure to license, failure to vaccinate and failure to control.
On 10/03/17, at approximately 7:35am, I Deputy Warden N. Christian with Franklin County Animal Care and Control (FCACC) was dispatched to the area of 5232 Freedom Ridge Drive on a dog at large, patrol only. I arrived in the area and saw a pit bull (brown/white) matching the description of the dog running loose at the above listed address. I stopped my vehicle and proceeded to check the address where the dog was at. The pit bull was tied up at that location. At that moment a unknown female came outside and headed towards her car. I pulled up and asked if the pit bull belong to her. She stated that her son who resides at that location is holding the pit bull for a friend, but that the friend left without indicating what to do with the pit

I arrived at the location and a saw a dog laying on the ground at that address. I exited my vehicle and the dog charge at me, as I was returning to my vehicle an unknown female individual came out of the house. I waved her down and pointed at the dog and she gain control of the dog and placed the dog in the house. I approached the house and advised her that there was a complaint in regards to the dog running loose. The female individual stated that the dog must have gotten out of the backyard. On 06/29/16 at 8:41pm, I was dispatched to 2706 Synder Court on a possible dangerous or vicious dog, owner known. I arrived at the location and spoke to Logan Liming and a female individual who was the victim’s Aunt. Mr. Liming and the female individual stated that the dog at 2704 Snyder Court was outside with a male minor on a leash. The dog got away from the minor and was running around the victim’s front yard. As the male minor was trying to capture the dog, the dog came towards victim Matthew Liming. Matthew Liming tried to back away from the dog, but was unable to get away and was bite/starch on his left forearm. On 05/13/16 at 5:55pm, I was dispatched to 6576 Saylor St on a dog at large, patrol only. I arrived at the house and was met by the caller. The dog a Chihuahua was currently running loose in the front yard of this house. I was able to place a leash on the dog and put it in the van. Dog owner Patrick Zamble arrived at the location and told me that was his dog. Mr. Zamble was unable to show proof of a dog license or vaccination. On 05/31/17, at 4:36pm, I was dispatched to the area of Noe Bixby Rd and Sedalia Ave on a dog at large, patrol only. I arrived in the area and drove around. As I was driving north bound on Noe Bixby Rd when I was flagged down by the caller that originated the call. I pulled over and exited by vehicle. The complainant stated the dog was running loose in the area; she was able to capture the dog (medium mix black/white) and wait until I arrived. I had the complainant completed an animal release form. I place the dog in my vehicle; the dog had no identifying markers indicating ownership. Grotsky advised me that he just received a phone in regards to someone possible owing the dog I had in my vehicle.
The unknown male neighbor advised me that the dogs resided at the above listed location have the ability to jump the fence, normally the owners keep the dogs inside so he was surprised that they were in the backyard. Deputy Warden M. Dembiec with the assistant of the unknown female minor to talked to her mother/keeper: Sharese Gardner. Ms Gardner was leaving work and would be home shortly. Approximately 20 minutes after arriving on scene Ms. Gardner arrived home. I explained the situation to Ms. Gardner and the reason the American Bully name Valentino was impounded. Ms. Gardner stated Valentino belonged to her brother who was unable to come home. I explained to Ms. Gardner for me to return Valentino she has to take responsibility for Valention including violations I asked Ms. Gardner if Valentino was current on dog license and vaccinations she was unsure and contacted her brother via cell phone. Ms. Gardner brother was unable to provide Ms. Gardner the necessary information to show proof of dog license and vaccinations. I asked to see Ms. Gardner identification, she complied.
