The first time i rode a bike was in 2012. I was in 2nd grade at that time and my other friends did not need training wheels. My dad taught me. It was spring and there were barely any clouds in the sky. My dad took the training wheels off and I sat down. At first I went slowly. My dad held onto the back while I practiced pedaling. We practiced this for several hours and when it was getting dark we went inside. The next day I practiced pedaling again. But, my dad had let go and I did not even notice! By the time that I realized, he had caught up to me and I did not fall. The next time that he did that, I lost balance and I fell. I started crying and my dad told me not to give up.
When we were ready our Dad thought us by using training wheels first and then he showed us how to pedal and where the brakes were, but when we rode in training wheels for an hour he took them off and we were afraid of falling and we were also very eager but nervous of falling. When we were ready our Dad just told us to look forward and pedal so we pedaled as fast as we could but we always fell and bleed from our arms and legs. Every time we fell we could taste the blood in our mouth for hitting it too much. Everything felt dusty because of all the dirt. We saw blood on our legs and arms and it was slowly dripping down. We heard our screams of pain and, we smelled all the flowers in the grass when we fell in the grass. It was really painful but it was going to be so easy when we could do it better but it had to be longer till we completely learned how to ride a bike. We kept trying everyday but it took us 6 days to learn because the park we practiced in had so many holes so when we rode our bike it was really hard to ride because of all the holes.
The skin on my left hip was almost completely scraped off, but I was going to do it again. I wasn’t going to give up. Gaining speed down the hill with a huge smile on my face, I knew that I would get it this time. As I quickly turned the bike’s handlebars, my shoe laces got caught in the pedal. At the age of five, I was unaware of Newton’s first law of motion: An object at rest stays at rest and an object in motion stays in motion with the same speed and in the same direction unless acted upon by an unbalanced force. I flew off my bike and hit the ground full force, slid across the pavement, and came to a stop. I told myself that I needed to learn how to ride this bike, and my final attempt, after many hours outside, turned out successful. My mother says she remembers the moment when I walked through the door of my house and stood in the kitchen, insisting that I taught myself how to ride a two-wheeler. I was bloodied
When I applied for C.R. England I was not sure that I would be accepted to go through the program. Three days later I received a phone call from a Recruiter at C.R. England and while on the phone we went over all the information before setting a time and a date for leaving for Salt Lake City, Utah. When the day came to leave for Salt Lake City, Utah my parents took me to the Greyhound terminal to prepare to leave. Thirty minutes later we boarded the bus to leave our first stop was in Missouri I stayed on the same bus and from there I went to Kansas where I had to switch buses but I had to wait one hour before the other bus got there after boarding the bus for going to the next stop I was in Colorado where I had to wait two hours and thirty minutes before boarding my next bus to Wyoming once I got to Wyoming the next bus was ready and it had no air conditioner that I remember so the last bit of traveling was so warm that everyone on it was hot even a eight month old baby everyone tried their best to help the mother out to make
When I was six years old on a foggy day in june 2010 I was in a dark and upset mood. Not only was I frustrated that I had a cast on my leg and couldn’t do anything fun, I was in a gloomy mood. I had spent the morning inside on my couch playing video games like ratchet and clank, and arguing with my parents over my attitude. Around noon my Dad Owen and my Mom Tracy called me and my younger brother Reese out to our front deck. We were curious because we didn’t know what they had wanted us for after all, I was playing video games and my brother who loves lego was playing with lego. When we were out the front door and
Growing up I wanted to get a motorcycle so badly. Every birthday, every Christmas I would ask and bug the heck out of my parents to get me a motorcycle. And one lucky day I got what I always wanted. my first dirtbike was a CRF 100 that was brand new, still had the tire stickers on it and all, I loved that bike. The day I got my motorcycle my dad went into the shop to get a new tire for his bike, when he left the store I had a brand new motorcycle. A beautiful red Honda, a Honda that was 103cc to be exact.
As soon as I was old enough to understand that my mother and father did not love each other anymore, I knew I would need a lot of strength to cope. As time passed, tensions built, and my parents finally divorced. Under these new circumstances, both of my parents wanted complete control over me. During my high school years arguments were constant and I had to be the messenger between them. Issues such as child support, bills, and how much time I would spend with each of them were constant battles. As I grew older I knew I needed to reduce the stress in my life. I was ready to move on.
The next day. The next day I went dirt biking again . I fell a few times that day but I was
The sun was beating down on me, sweat was dripping down my face and I was starting to fall apart both mentally and physically. It was actually a beautiful day - no clouds in the sky, a nice breeze, birds chirping. This day was the first day of cross country for me and I was behind everyone else. I was planning on playing soccer, but I did not make the team. That meant I was going to be a whole summer behind in my conditioning, and I was already feeling it. This day was just supposed to be an easy four mile run, yet I had to walk just halfway through it.
Marching in with the giant crowds fascinated with the design and the upkeep to keep this place going. All trail takers taken to a hall like room filled with trophies of defeated monsters. Liora viewed up at the big one it was high above in the precise middle wall above the stage. It was a dragon the last of its species a gold dragon with red eyes with a vicious snarl and eyes narrowed down to the crowd below. Incredible. Thought Liora looking at the head feeling she might have to come up to a monster like that one day.
A day that I won’t forget is the day I got my driver license. What made it so great is the fact that I could go do what I wanted whenever I wanted. I didn’t have to worry about my parents being right by my side the whole time. I was always making up reasons just to leave the house and get out and drive around, but of course I had to pay for my own gas. It didn’t bother me though. My first vehicle was a ford ranger, wasn’t my favorite, but it worked.
I had big bruises on my leg, but that didn’t stop me. I honestly had enough fear in me I felt like my heart jumped out of my chest. After that, my dad swore that we should take a break for a while, but that didn’t happen. However, we spent numerous amounts of times in our yard practicing up and down the yard just so I could get used to it, too. My dad and I would even go to my grandparents that had two-hundred and fifty acres of land to get better at riding. This four-wheeler was my best friend, as well as my dad was. My dad teaching me something and being my number one supporter the whole way through it, meant the world to
It was an exciting, sunny spring day, when my fifth grade teacher, Miss Owen told the class that we had an assignment to build roller coasters. We were going to start in science, but it was at the end of the day! Miss Owen announced when students from Miss Owens class walked in that we were going to build roller coasters in science.Everyone thought that the end of the day was going to be the best part of the day. Everyone was so anxious to start and no one could wait.
I am a piece of clay, just as every person is. We will never be a set shape. Instead, we are molded. That molding depends entirely upon what molds us. At the beginning of life, we are molded by the hands of loving parents, but once we leave that safe-place, we are on our own. At that point, we can be tossed, slammed, poked at, and sometimes even ripped apart. One important event in my life that molded me and has helped make me the person I am today was my first roller coaster ride. Amusement rides don’t usually change a person’s life, but the first time I went on a roller coaster, I found myself stepping off the ride as an entirely different person. Most people conquer their fears on thrill rides, but instead, I conquered the one thing most people are terrified to face. Something that’s more horrific than monsters and demons, and that is yourself. For me, the ride was more of a journey than anything. From the beginning to the end, I learned a lot about myself, my life, and who I wanted to be during the duration of what felt like years, but lasted only minutes.
Exposition: Have you ever had your bike stop out of nowhere, and you not know why? Pedaling but not moving anywhere. Feeling stuck, or even tipping over! Ouch, that really hurts! One morning I was my own savior. It was when I learned how to fix a chain on a bicycle wheel.
I told myself that I wouldn’t do it. The long wait and constant thoughts of “what if?”, almost made me not ride my first rollercoaster. My friends continuously affirmed me that I was going to be okay and that I was going to thank them afterwards. After an hour of waiting, we made it to the loading platform. The employee counted us off and lead us to our seats, or as I thought our deaths. There was no going back after that big, red harness came over me. The cart jolted forward and started to go up the steep incline. My heart was pounding in my chest and I started to screams as we had reached the top. I looked down to my death and instantly felt panicked. The next thing I knew my body was lifted out of the seat, wind was racing at me, and I
