Personal Narrative: Top Two Choices Of Colleges

My College and Career goals include graduating college and getting a job. I wish to attend the University of Alabama. I plan to major in occupational therapy or speech therapy. After I graduate with my bachelor's degree I wish to get my master's degree. After I finish my schooling I want to receive a job that allows me to provide for my family. I wish to receive this job in my degree's field. After receiving this job I wish to improve to reach a leadership role.

East Carolina University is and has always been a dream school for many students including myself. I have grown up hearing about the University and it is nothing short of spectacular. Many family members of mine have attended East Carolina, and I have always pictured myself at this school. It would be an honor to be a pirate. When I first heard about Berry College, I thought it was just another school in Georgia. My friend told me about it and I thought maybe I should look into it. I put it aside for some time until I saw a picture of this beautiful building. I was taken away by the architecture so I looked up the building and realized it was part of Berry College. I feel like in that moment, I felt in love with the surroundings of the school. I looked more into it and saw that it had everything I was looking for. The environment, the classes, and the activities, it was just perfect. So I have to say that I'm attracted to the feel of the campus and the never ending size. I know what I see it's only on the outside, but I can't wait to see what it has to offer inside.

As I sat on the couch getting ready for the first day back at school, I heard the phone in the kitchen ring. I stood up to go answer it and I heard loud footsteps coming down the stairs. My mother was running down the stairs to answer it just in case it was one of her work calls. I noticed that her voice started to crack as if she was going to cry and the smile that she once had on her face had disappeared. The person on the other end of the phone was my Uncle Dylan from California calling to let us know that Aunt Liz had died in a car wreck. We were so devastated but little did we know she left me $12k. A couple days later I received a letter in the mail saying that I had to use it to help pay for my tuition. Wellesley College is an extraordinary college that provides all I could ever seek in a college. It has various majors to choose from, extraordinary interactions with professors and students, and an inspirational atmosphere full of great women from various backgrounds. I never knew that such college would have all the preferences I wanted.        On Thursday, August 20th 2015 I was accepted into College of Southern Nevada. On Friday, August 21st, 2015 I arrived onto the CSN West Charleston Campus at around seven o'clock in the morning to be one of the first people to take the math, reading, and writing placement tests for the day. After I took the placement tests, I went to the Student Recruitment office and spoke to a woman named Kimiko Walton. I told Kimiko about what happened to me and she recruited me. Afterwards, I purchased my textbooks from the bookstore (a typical mistake made by college freshmens). As I existed the double doors of the CSN bookstore, I told myself: "Nobody can give me the life I deserve expect myself..." On

The decision to go to Converse College was protracted. It took over a year to decide that this would be my home for four or more years. I chose Converse for a number of reasons; the music department, the music professors, the tuition, and the campus.

Concordia College NY is one of the best small stabilized school i believe anyone can ever go to. Concordia may be small, but it has all aspects to fulfill your college experience and have the best four years ever. It has all types of majors, for instance, biology, business, and one of the best nursing programs. Concordia is a division 2 school that is pretty good in all athletics provided. Why am I here at Concordia? Since I was in high school, I never really wanted to go to a big or humungous school, but i wanted to go to a good school that was high leveled in the major of psychology, and i wanted to gain the opportunity to play for a good basketball team, and I wanted to go division 2. However, Concordia College was the perfect fit for me. Concordia provides many opportunities for you to learn new things everyday with its amazing facilities as well as meeting new people.

I believe that there is no exceptional choice for me other than Boston University. Not only do I find the campus beautiful,I feel that I belong here.My college adviser is the one who promoted this school for my best interest.I come from an International Baccalaureate background as a student in Curtis High School. This program helps me since it is both rigorous and teaches college material. This is why I believe I will fit since I come from a rigorous work load.

When I first met you, I was having a bad day and was somewhere I particularly didn’t want to be. But, then there you were with your big smile and quirky sense humor to cheer me up, I was a total stranger to you at time. You are one of those people who can make a friend out of anyone and find one anywhere. You are the type of person who always says hi when passing by and even check in with people too if you have the time. A conversion with you could last forever; you always has something to say, you always has an opinion and listen the best you can. You are overall a fun, loving person, who is a total riot at a party.

Someone once said, “Never base your life decision on advice from people who don’t have to deal with the results.” Choosing which college you should attend is a stressful, arduous, exciting, and terrifying process filled with endless conundrums and choices. However, the end result, the college that provides oneself with the best education, career opportunities, and general satisfaction, is well worth the mental and physical toll that the search takes on an individual. So, how do you circumvent the twists and turns of fate and determine your dream school? The answer is rather simple: do it yourself. In the end, you are the one going to college, not your parent, teacher, grandparent, brother, sister, the guy behind the computer making the college rankings, or anyone else. Though your decision may be influenced by a variety of sources, it is your responsibility to walk your own fulfilling and enriching path. Consequently, the best way to determine your perfect college match is to drown out the rankings and do your own research, research that considers every factor that is important to you.
