What did i do this summer break? At the beginning of the summer i had to do summer school so from the 6th to the 30th i had to go to summer school for math from 10:15 to 12:15 then after summer school everyday i would go to Emmalee Nixon's house. We would go swimming, ride the golf cart around, go to the field of dreams and hangout with other people. Once i was completely done with summer school witch that was on the 30th i spent the rest of my summer with jalyn pigg, we were with each other Everyday of the summer! We would go back and forth between mine and her house. Everywhere i went she would come with me and everywhere she went i would tag along with! Jalyn and i both went to the fair. We hung out with other friends there. Jalyn
I had a lot of fun this summer and overall I could say this is one of my best summers. I did a lot of things over the summer, it was all baseball we would alway have games and it did not feel like we had a break. For a tournament we went to Jacksonville, Illinois for a baseball tournament and i had a blast! Even though we came in 3rd and did not win, we still did stuff after the games like swim, play PS4, and much more. Another thing I did was going to South bend Indiana and go to a South Bend Cubs game which is a minor league team for the Cubs. While we were up there we also stopped at Notre Dame and walked around and looked at the campus. We were going to look at the football stadium, but it was under construction. I thought that the campus
I had a very busy, yet fun summer. It went fast, but I had a good time. My summer mostly consisted of; playing baseball, going on vacation, and attending my family reunion.
During the summer vacation I mostly helped my mother clean the house. I spent the holiday with my aunts and uncles and it was a lot of fun. I love taking photos as well, when I was in the 6th grade I took a photography course at school and I took many beautiful pictures.
When we came back from spring break i was on the baseball team this is a big surprise because surprise because i am bad at the game. When our first practice came around we were talking about fundamentals of the game. When i was listening i was confused because he wasn't making sense nor was he giving us the right information. One example is when you dip you shoulder and hit a pop up you dip your back shoulder and he said you dip your front shoulder.
When Thanksgiving Break comes, the last thing anyone wants to think about is family drama, ways of speech, and slang. Days before Thanksgiving, I always find myself studying slang that I have never heard of and singing songs that I would’ve never imagined myself listening to. All to fit in with my family. I rarely see my family, but when I do, I try to make it enjoyable. My family lives pretty far away and we have always been raised in two different environments. I live in Avon, “Home of the rich white kids”, they like to say. They live on the East Side of Indianapolis, “Home of the gang violence and shootings”, I always say back. Though it is the same state, it feels like we have been raised in two different worlds.
When I was first notified that I had to attend the Summer Transition Program, I was upset. I thought that it was a complete waste of my summer. Now, I don’t want to imagine what would have happen to me if I wasn’t part of the program. Deep down I was afraid of moving all the way to Virginia. I knew no one and was all alone. Thanks to the Transition Program, I made life long friendships and acquaintances, got acclimated to living in virginia and have some of the best experience of my life.
During Summer Break, I mow the Sykeston St. Elizabeth Cemetery for my SAE. The church provides the lawn mower and trimmer, but I have to bring my own gas. Furthermore, I currently hold President of the Carrington FFA Chapter, in 2016, we organized Meals of Hope to provide food to those in need. The entire Student Body participated and we packaged over 51,000 meals beating the goal of 50,000 in 2 hours. I am also the Secretary of the Rural Raiders 4-H Club in Foster County, I enter static exhibits, show livestock, rabbits, and poultry. These many experiences relate to my educational goals by the traits of success, leadership, cooperation, and gratitude. These traits will help me be honest and fair in the game of
This summer I hung out with my friends a lot. We went to eat, drove around, and went to the drive inn. My friend Kara and I went to the river many times this summer. On the Fourth of July we went to the Niobrara, and floated down the river. Kara, Kenndal, and I all went to Chamberlain on Kenndal’s birthday. In Chamberlain we went to Dairy Queen, went to a rummage sale, and saw the dignity statue. I had a very fun summer with my friends.
Over Christmas break, I mostly accomplished nothing. First, on Friday, I had my birthday. When I got home from the bus, I was already expected a letter from Reagan to see if I got in or not. I first went to the kitchen counter and , of course, the MPS letter was already open, suggesting my Mom opened it. On the top of the paper it showed the name of the High School that I applied to and below it, it showed the words yes or no. A surprised look came over my face when it said yes to all the high schools listed. To sums things up, I got into Reagan, Rufus King, and Hamilton high school. Next, to celebrate my birthday, my family and I went to the 5 o'clock steakhouse, which happens to open at 5 o'clock. Then, throughout the rest of the break ,
In the few months that we get for summer break I did many things. Most of it was fun, but some was not. My summer was filled with cheer and dance, shopping, and many other things while I was at home.
Over break I went down to South Carolina. I went with my mom, my dad and my sister. We had to leave our cat at home because cats don’t really like……. 11 hour drives and being in new places. My grandmother got a cat while we went to see other family in Georgia. The second day of being in her house the cat ran and hid underneath the fireplace (yes I am not joking under the fireplace. Eventually she came out. She ran and hid under the fireplace because of the Vacuum Monster and/or because the Christmas tree fell (accidentally I have no clue how it happened) and scared her. For the rest of our time in South Carolina (about 1 day and a half after our Georgia trip) she hid and came out very little. After we left she came out more and is now very
From June eighth to the fourteenth, I visited my grandparents in Florida. The following week, from the fifteenth to the nineteenth, I went on the high school beach retreat to Panama City Beach with my church. Daniel and Sadie went on the trip too.
This summer I did not do very many things, but the things I did do were somewhat interesting. The majority of my summer was spent working unfortunately. In July I went to Florida with my family for a week. During summer vacation I also hung out with Jared, my boyfriend, and my other friends whenever I could. For the most part my summer was very boring, but I made the best of it because it was the summer before senior year.
After an eight hour school day whizzed by, filled with laughter and joy spent with my friends, I walked towards my bus. Looking around, I could see everything from birds gliding in the wind, their feathers glistening in the sunlight, to spiders in the bushes, working tirelessly to spin their magnificently intricate masterpiece webs. The trees were starting to change from a vibrant green, to a light yellow, to a deep orange, and finally, to a bloody red. The contrast of all the awe-inspiring colors will always be surreal in my eyes. Every year, I always think to myself the same question, “Why, when such beauty exists, must it go away as quickly as it came?”
My summer was not as interesting as your summer Mrs. Cole, but I sure did have fun. The first trip I went on this summer was to New Orleans, which was pretty Amazing because I got to walk down the historic streets of the world famous French Quarter. I have not been to New Orleans since I was 4 years old with my whole family, but this time my parents and I were the only ones who went. On the first day we went to Café Du Monde, which is an original French market stand that has been around since 1862. The best part of the
