Chapter 6: (free) When I Got my First Dog When I got my first dog was when I was either 7 or 8 years old. It was the biggest surprise ever, I have been complaining that I wanted a baby bulldog for a long time. So I took a day off of school and my mom took me to Waterloo that evening. I was so curious to where we were going, I was so excited to see where we were going I couldn’t wait longer so I kept asking all these questions about where we were at or where we were going? What are we doing?. And then we got there it was Petco my mom told me that we were here for my cat Bob. So we walked and looked around and then did my eyes deceive me there were two baby bulldogs one boy, one girl with red, and white fur I was so surprised two bulldogs
It was a bright sunny day my family and I just adapted a beautiful lab mixed with a great dane. We were in my mom’s van heading to Petco. My family and I were going to Petco to get all the supplies my new puppy needs. So, we pull in to the parking lot of Petco.
Walking up to the shelter only to find that the dog we wanted is being taken home by another family, we thought we wouldn't be getting a dog today. But when we found her, we were glad that the other dog was taken. Her black, slicked back fur shedding off of her perfect dog body. Her black beady eyes are bulging out of her head with the look of excitement. Unable to hold herself back she breaks the leash that the vet was trying to hold her back with. Running to us, she slips and falls on her head. We don’t have a second to worry because she jumps up and starts licking our faces with her slobbery tongue. By the time she is tired from licking our faces, we feel as if we just went swimming in a pool of melting jello
At this point I had never seen a puppy, well I should say never owned one. Belle and Grace our dogs were messing around and play fighting like they usually did. As I grew closer to Earth I noticed I live in a small world and need to get out in the open.
Rachel walked Guiness down the metal, studded ramp. When I saw him I felt so many different emotions; happy that he was here, nervous as it had just hit me that I was now responsible for my first horse and also sadness as I could see that Rachel was devastated to give him up, and that she was just about holding herself together. Together, we walked him around to show him his new home and tried to settle him but I could tell that he was anxious and scared, breathing heavily and looking around, obviously sensing that something unusual was happening. Eventually he relaxed and started to munch away at this hay. I kept my distance as Rachel said her goodbye’s. We waved her off as she left with the empty horse-box, tears running down her cheeks.
The Breeder meets us and says to my mom “well ya’ll puppy dawg is right through ear.” As soon a she opened her mouth I was questioning getting our dog from here. We follow her into the dog house that’s where all of the different breeds of dogs are and end up all the way at the end. She hands us the puppy. He was a Tricolored cocker spaniel and had big front paws and the cutest little eye brows that I fell In love with. She gives it to my mom first and then my mom gives him to me. Finally I got my dog and he was so cute and so soft. Now we need a name.
I got my horse when I was twelve for my golden birthday. Before I took my horse home, I went to where he currently was to learn how to ride and spend some time with him so we were both comfortable with each other. My first day there the woman I bought my horse from took me out to the pasture and told me to call his name, Kash. When Kash was the first of many horses to come up to the gate, I knew that he was going to be a great horse. Kash is a chestnut brown and his mane and tail are black, he has a white spot on his forehead and one of his ankles is completely white. The first of three days I did not ride Kash; however, I did groom him and repeatedly put on and took off his halter, bridle, and saddle. The purpose of this was for both Kash and I to get comfortable with each other and for me to learn how to do all these things since I had never been around a
So when Animal jam first released the masterpiece feature I decided to make greater dog from undertale. It took me 4 hours (my hand was shaking from using a mouse). Before I can click create den item, my mom yelled at me and I completely froze, accidentally clicking exit on the tab. Now, this was the time that you couldn't save for dear life. So so it was gone forever. I soon tried to make another greater dog and I was in the same place lie before my dog started winning to go out so I ran really fast to take him out. So I could finish the last parts on the greater dog art. My dog took over 30 mins just to go and when I came back the game was logged off.
It was the 11th of January and we were going to get a new dog. The road has ice, snow and sleet. I had a headache and I was really tired. It was cold, cloudy, and bright. The ride was like a 4 hour ride because I slept through the whole thing and it was awesome. When I woke it we were still not there. So my mom, brother and I all played car games. When we got there it was loud and it made my head hurt even more than it did before. It was wet and really icy so I had to crawl. My mom asked “What are you doing on the ground.” I said “Crawling so I don’t fall on my butt or my side like I always do. When we went in we saw Peanut. The women said “The reason he has bad back legs is because he was at a puppy mill.” He was funny because he was slipping
"Only if you take care and pay for it and all its things." mom replied
It was a bright sunny Saturday afternoon on November 30th 2013 when my mom found me outside doing chores.
A day that I won’t forget is the day I got my driver license. What made it so great is the fact that I could go do what I wanted whenever I wanted. I didn’t have to worry about my parents being right by my side the whole time. I was always making up reasons just to leave the house and get out and drive around, but of course I had to pay for my own gas. It didn’t bother me though. My first vehicle was a ford ranger, wasn’t my favorite, but it worked.
Ever since I was a little girl, I have been interested in horses. I believe I have inherited this interest and passion for them because my father loves them as well. My father has had horses in his life ever since he was 13 years old, and he never seems to get enough of them because he just really appreciates them. I grew up loving them because he taught my sisters and I how to care for them and how they can be a person’s best friend.
Cars were honking everywhere trying to get around traffic. Horses ran in circles kicking dust up in the air making me sneeze. The dehydrated grass crunched under my shoes as I walk over it. The unpleasant smell of cow manure made me want to go back to the car. I kept walking anyway, the smell growing stronger. I walked with my Mom in the house. Where the puppies were kept. When I turned 11, before I got my dog, I had to choose between doing the responsibilities or not doing the responsibilities and not getting him.
I was shocked to hear our plans for the day. Looking at more dogs? It had been less than a week since the last one and the newspaper ads hadn’t given us any options. I ran to my room, took my New York Yankees Baseball Cap off the hook and ran to tell my siblings. They were equally as shocked as I was. The three of us couldn't tell why my Dad, who never wanted a dog in the first place, wanted to go searching for one now. But I had an idea about why.
My first dog was named Toby, he was a very white, ball of fluff. He blended in with the shiny white crispy snow on December 25, 2006. My sisters and I were on our way home from my dad’s house when all of a sudden we pulled into my mom’s house. On Sunday, December 25, 2006, Toby was waiting at our house. We all got out of the car on that cold snowy day and walked on the slippery sidewalk. The snow was like a chilling carpet on the bottoms of our feet. My mom opened the door with a camera so my sisters and I knew something was up. A shocking step in the house and we saw a very fluffy dog, we were very excited. He was like a deer in headlights. There was a bunch of screaming and yelling going on at that moment between the three of us. We
