Life has pushed her put of her comfort zone. After graduating high school, she moved to another state completely alone. There was a time to become self-reliance, to become independent. This is an example of recentering( Professor T. Rondinone, personal communication, April, 2017). Grace found full time job at the post office as a dispatcher. “For the first time I felt wanted. People started acknowledging me. I realized that I can be good at something.” However, the job was making her feel good about herself, she still wanted something more. She was craving for close intimate relation with that special man, who can love her and in return she can love him. She had such a strong need for meaningful, profound bounding with that romantic partner,
I would be an outstanding student in Spelman College's faculty classes because I am hard worker. My work has always came first even when I had experienced a big transition in my life I didn't allow that to stop me from doing my work. My work was always a outlet for me to express myself and to show my teachers how I really think. For instance, in my English Composition Class we read a poem called "I Want A Wife by Judy Brady" then we read a book named "Fences by August Wilson", and one day we were in class discussing the poem in the book and it shocked my teacher when I made the connection between the two. I thought my teacher made us read "I want a wife" because in the book "Fences" the main character named Troy expected everything in that
I have learnt many skills helping me day with work pouring concrete and laboring for block layers. First let me give you a little background. My dad was worked as a bricklayer since he was sixteen. He has done the same type of work for most of his life, and that's where I come in. My first job was in the summer of 2012 My dad asked me if I wanted to go along and help him with a side job he had going. I said sure and we headed out around nine o'clock. Our first job was to replace a concrete pad and stairs for this house that was up for sale. We had to set up forms for the concrete, and pour it. I learned how to oil up forms so the concrete didn't stick.

As I worked there longer I met someone who suddenly assumed we were best buds. He would constantly want to hang out at work, but he was one of those take it too far people. In this job we worked with box cutters and would play around with his like a real knife thinking it was funny. One day I had enough and this guy and he said something that just made me want to knock him out. That little cricket on my shoulder always told me don’t do it man. You need this job more than his face needs your fist and thank goodness I was able to walk away.
Thank you for reading my work - I'm glad you enjoy it and might find it useful.

Throughout high school, I have been practicing numerous types of writing. Persuasive, research, expository, emails, the list is extensive. However, I have a very limited experience with workplace writing. Through a volunteer opportunity, I am currently exploring educational writing geared towards elementary and middle school students who have an interest in aviation. This opportunity requires me to create lesson plans, informative papers, and concise instructions for the students, as well as my supervisors. While there have been many influences on my writing, I believe the most beneficial experience I have had was enrolling in an advanced placement course. This course pushed me to write in a timely manner, exercise multiple essay and sentence
Of all the aspects of my personality, the most distinguishing is my work ethic. This is best exemplified in the ways that I have risen to the top within the groups I have worked with and the projects I have worked on. The most recent example: I am currently working with a student committee at my high school to organize a “Career Day”. Although I came into the group on their second meeting, I am now the de facto leader as I have accepted the most responsibility and been key in communicating with administration to plan and schedule the event. When nobody will take on an assignment or when I feel an assignment is not being completed well enough, I step in, and that is what happened with my involvement on this project. For another example, I went

Today after I cleaned two office in place of employee on vacation. I spotted Richard G. Stroupe standing at the back door. He asked why he was not allowed back at the facility. I plainly told him it was because of his poor job performance.
One of my proudest achievements was when I received acceptance into the Center for Excellence in Youth Education for the hospital placement internship. At first, when I was filling out the application, I was afraid because the application asked questions about my average, my PSAT scores, my volunteer experience, and a personalized essay. I knew that I was outstanding in academically, volunteering, and my essay was great because I talked about my interests and my hopes for the future. Although I qualified for a majority of these supplements, I did not do as good as I would have like to on my PSAT; I thought that this factor exempted me as a candidate until I received an email telling me to come in for a 10 minute interview. On the day of my interview, I was the
I will never regret a single day that I have spent my time working, because for every hour that I spend diligently working towards something, I learn an invaluable lesson that can never be replaced. My strong work ethic was instilled in me from a very young age, when one of my favorite things to do was follow my grandpa around the farm as he did chores. It was not long before I was sacrificing playtime so that I could help him pour feed, plant wheat, and harvest beans. While most little girls were pretending to be princesses, I was stomping through the dirt to check the cows. As a child, when I would tell my mom that I wanted something, her response was always this: “spit in one hand and wish in the other; see which one gets full faster.”
I sit in the small, confined DJ booth of a hole-the-wall bar. Mike, better known as Cowboy, the ten-gallon hat wearing owner of Afterburners, invites me to come resume my DJ duties since I am on a two-week layoff from my factory job and larger crowds have once again began filing into the bar. I used to DJ on weekends for Cowboy before school and my full-time job became too much and his business began to slow down. I have to admit it feels good to be back in my old element.
I walked into Vaughan Software, dressed in a business casual attire that I purchased two years ago and never got to wear. Everyone around me had either green eyes or blue eyes. Though brown-eyed people like me made up around half of the population, we were never invited to work in global corporations like Vaughan Software.
I’d have to say that this may just be the busiest time of my life honestly. I mean prior to returning to school and taking these classes there was a brief stint where I began working two jobs. However that period was more of a transition and did not last very long as once I became permanent at the newer job I was able to let the other go. However as I am now fitting SNHU classes into my schedule I’ve realized that lately I haven’t really had a schedule. It was more so just a race to get to work and a race to get home. The only thing that was scheduled was getting out the house by 6am with the hopes of getting to work by 8am and getting home “as soon as I could” my 5o’clock dash is serious, it seems some days my commute to work is like having
