Personal Statement For Generous Scholarship

I am writing this letter to thank you for your generous $700 Overstreet Scholarship. I am so appreciative and thankful for this opportunity and was so shocked that I was eligible for this. Receiving the scholarship was and still is such an amazing feeling inside for me and shows me I have more potential than I thought. I was selected as the recipient of your scholarship and have never been more grateful for the opportunity that you chose me and recognized me as an individual.

I hope my honesty about my academic journey demonstrates that I am a worthy recipient of your scholarship because I have learned success comes from hard work and learning from failure. I greatly appreciate your consideration. Please know that this scholarship will make a positive impact on my academic career and will be greatly appreciated. I aspire to become a nurse through the wonderful BSN program at California Baptist University. Why I aspire to be a nurse is because I want to be a useful person in this world. There are very few careers where you can have such a tremendous impact on someone's life every day. Working hard to make a difference in people's lives who are in need. Also health sciences is a topic that really interest me, learning about the human body and how we function is very fascinating. I hope to reach my highest potential in education with the help of California Baptist University.

Every since I was a little girl I always wanted to be a nurse so I could take care of my father because he had heart complications. When I started working at providence, I fell in love with the CCU and how the nurses and other staff treated the heart patient. In my future endeavors, I would like to pursue a master’s degree in nursing as an education specialist. This specialty of nursing is something that has always intrigued me and after working within the hospital setting I know this is where I aspire to be. I believe helping current and future nurses expand upon their knowledge would be very fulfilling for me.

I am writing this letter to thank you from the bottom of my heart for granting me the Robert A. and Mary Neal Culver Scholarship. I have been working very hard throughout my college experience and receiving this scholarship is truly a blessing and a reminder of how my hard work has paid off. The extra money will help pay off my tuition for next year which will greatly help ease the stress about paying for my junior year, and my mother and I are truly thankful for having the extra help. I will continue to work hard and achieve all my goals on the next couple of years, and I will never give up on my dreams and aspirations. To begin with, I am currently going to East Valley Institute of Technology to become a certified medical assistant. After my senior year I will continue my schooling in order to go into the health care. I will do this by continuing to go to Mesa Community College were I will finish to get my associates in applied science of nurse. When I have finished that I will transfer to the university of Arizona to become part of their nursing program, at the same time work on getting my bachelor's and master's degree. This will help be to become an RN. My ultimate goal is to become a registered nurse working in the emergency room, as well as hopefully travel around the world as a missionary nurse to help others in

Recently a graduate from Maryville University with a major in nursing and a minor in psychology. I can see myself planning a family and the rest of my life. My dream job at Cardinal Glennon is a nurse who works in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. While working as a nurse I wish to gain a few years of experience and then later on applying to a Nurse Practitioner program or a Nurse Midwifery program. After completing those programs I plan on starting a family and laying out the plan for the rest of my nursing career and life.

I would like to expand my appreciation to you regarding the generous scholarship which you awarded me. This scholarship is not only an amazing assistance to me and my family, but also an honor of which I am very proud.

When it comes to my education and career goals I have very many. The first one is to finish high school and in Fall 2017 I will be attending National Park College for the RN to BSN program. After I gain field experience I plan on furthering my education and becoming a Nurse Practitioner. Currently taking a Medical Professions and Terminology class at National Park to help further my knowledge for this career. Through this class I have also become a Certified Medical Billing Specialist (CMBS) and a Certified Medical Records Technician (CMRT).

I am a nursing student. I have a great passion for caring for others. My short term goals are to graduate Riverland Community College with my Associate's Degree in Nursing this December. I plan to work very hard and prepare to take my nursing licensure exam at the beginning of next year to become licensed as a registered nurse. I will then transfer to Metropolitan State University to complete my Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
