Recently a graduate from Maryville University with a major in nursing and a minor in psychology. I can see myself planning a family and the rest of my life. My dream job at Cardinal Glennon is a nurse who works in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. While working as a nurse I wish to gain a few years of experience and then later on applying to a Nurse Practitioner program or a Nurse Midwifery program. After completing those programs I plan on starting a family and laying out the plan for the rest of my nursing career and life.
Ten years from now I see myself with children and a job in a local hospital taking care of children. I see myself with my Bachelors of Science in Nursing and a certification in Nurse Midwifery. My children may be around five years old and just starting school. I will encourage my children to take school as serious as I have and to do their homework. I eventually want to have at least four children but that choice may change as time goes on. I have no plans other than working and raising a family ten years from now. I plan on starting a retirement account early in life to reduce stress later on in
The reason I desire to attend ORU is because the university focuses on the whole person. ORU equips students to hear God’s voice, to go where His light is dim, where His voice is heard small, and HIs healing power is not know. I don’t want just a college degree. I want to know how I can go into every man’s world and preach the gospel. Oral Roberts University vision is to raise up students to hear His voice. I want a well rounded education that focuses on Professionalism and spirituality. I’m truly grateful for the freedom to study the word of God and pray in classroom settings. Where else can you get this well rounded education?

When people hear the word “college”, many panic inside at the thought. But, when I hear the word “college” I think about Illinois State University. In early July, I attended an Open House at ISU for my very first official college visit. As I stepped onto campus, I couldn’t but help to feel like it was my future home. Many aspects of the tour made me draw nearer to choosing this college after finishing my High School career. Illinois State University seems to fit my personality very well, has an amazing program for what I want to study, and is an outstanding campus for my academic strengths and weaknesses.
As a military wife one of my greatest duties is to support my husband while he supports our nation. That duty has led to our family having to relocate and change many aspects of our lives including which school I attend. I am thankful that that obligation is now making it possible for me to potentially attend The George Washington University. While transferring midway through a degree certainly is not ideal I do feel like this is a remarkable opportunity that I am eager to embrace. I cannot help but feel as if my journey in higher education is finally getting where it was supposed to be all along. As a teenager, I envisioned life at my age and it never involved four children and a halfway complete English degree. I had planned to attend the university in my hometown and then, after four perfect years of course, become a wonderful high school English teacher just doing what I loved every day.

Right out of high school, what few choices do you have? Join the work force, do not get a job at all or go to college? After high school I want to go to college. Although there are many colleges here in the United States, there is one major limit I must follow when picking a college to go to. Since college costs a lot of money, I need to stay instate, which narrows down more than three-fourths of the colleges in the Untied States. Just because the top colleges I love are out, like Ohio State University, Michigan State or Michigan University, does not mean I did not have my eyes set out for some instate colleges. Some colleges in Indiana that have grabbed my attention enough and make me want to go there are IU Bloomington, Butler and Ball State.
