This is a crucial time for me to reflect on the various roads my career could take, as I am about to complete my undergraduate education in a few months. I am doing my B.Tech in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering from Manipal Institute of Technology, Karnataka, India, which is among the top engineering colleges in India. The time that I spent here, learning about the various mechanisms that make the world go forward, has really helped me understand where my interests lie and where I can make a subtle yet noticeable difference in this world. So I pen down my statement of purpose in front of you.
I want to start off by stating my real objective, which is to enhance and strengthen my knowledge base in the field of Mechanical Engineering. The ideal path towards this, I feel, would be by pursuing graduate studies in Mechanical Engineering. I really want to take in every ounce of knowledge that is possible in this field so that in the long run I can become a master of this field. This would eventually require team spirit besides

For me, the pursuit for knowledge has been my supreme goal forever, so higher education is something that I want to take, just to further quench my thirst for this area. I want to contribute my knowledge and skills to the world in such an era when there are no longer boundaries. Thus to satiate my curiosity and to fulfil my dreams, I have decided to pursue a Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering. I strongly believe that getting an higher education in USA would really help me make my transition to this era of globalization. It’s a fact that research work has to be undertaken to achieve what I actually want in life. But scope for research is very limited in India, whereas it is best in the United States of America, and this will be a perfect place for me to acquire the next level of
This theory is intriguing and I believe that with a finger in every pie around the world, Mechanical Engineering is an obligatory study for the visionaries. My quest for knowledge ended in Chennai where SRM University’s unparalleled curriculum provides a detailed introduction of the elaborateness of the subject, exposing us to a variety of fields such as Fluid Dynamics, Gas Dynamics and Space Propulsion, Materials Technology and Computer Aided Manufacturing. Laboratory assignments and presentations intensified schoolroom education, implementing conceptual learning and putting to practice founding principles, thus enhancing my understanding. Active and energetic, I was always in the driver’s seat for any exercise our group produced. In fact, in the first year, a faculty member recognized my academic competence and encouraged me to keep advancing ahead towards
Julius Erving once said “Goals determine what you’re going to be.” I am determined to reach my goal of becoming a Diesel Mechanic. Universal Technical Institute, A Mechanical school, will help me pursue my career of making money and will help me pursue my dream of learning how to work with big machinery.
My career and education goals are to go UARM and focus on Machine tool technology. Right now I am currently taking the class after my high school classes and I would like to keep working in this area because so far I really enjoy the class and I love the hands on work we do with the machines and computers. In Mena the are lots of jobs in this field and I would still like to live here.
I am currently working on earning APE in mechanical engineering at SLCC. After earning an APE, I will transfer to the University of Utah to earn B.S. in mechanical engineering. Afterward, I will work on getting an MBA. I want to be a licensed mechanical engineer in every state, and I will work day and night to have a good reputation and make my name known so I can start my own engineering firm one day. I am pursuing this path because I want to gain the practical experience that I can use in pursuing my ultimate career goal, which is earning Ph.D. to teach people and do research. I want to help, support, and prepare students to do better in their careers. Ever since I was a kid, I was the child who wanted to know more, the child that keeps asking
It is therefore my aspiration to pursue a career in automotive engineering, contributing creative answers to challenging questions and
In this statement of purpose I want to tell you exactly how I know this is the perfect degree for me and exactly how I plan to use my Master’s to improve not just the lives of my immediate family, but to work to have an impact on the field itself. I want to find a home in the tech field where I can do more than just exist, somewhere I
Opportunities come and go. The process of getting to where I am at in the present moment has presented me with amazing opportunities and guidance. As a result, I have direction, and I am prepared with great poise to do what I choose with my life. I believe, that every person in their lifetime, when given the right opportunities like myself, has the ability to do great things and change the world. This is precisely why that after I finish my short term goal of starting college, my long term goal extrapolates to include not only myself, but the entirety of humanity itself. My long term goal is to, as an aerospace engineer, make contributions that further the horizon of science and aerospace understanding while educating others on what those new horizons
I am quite delighted that as a student from a very small town with limited educational facilities in Iran, I have reached to the point to consider myself eligible to apply for University of California at Los Angles. After finishing my early education, my strength in mathematics guided me to continue this field in high school and from then on I was appealed to the application of mathematic in real world problems. As for university, however, I preferred to pursue this interest in Industrial Engineering major rather than Applied Mathematic mainly because the former had a broader perspective of future careers. During my bachelor degree, I realized that despite the extensive undergraduate study, I still need to complete the graduate study to discover my ultimate career goals. In addition, upon graduation, I took the opportunity and worked for one year as an industrial engineer to ascertain whether I am suitable for academic environment or job market. Ultimately, after finishing the master degree in Tsinghua University, I came to the conclusion that my passion for research makes me a better fit in academic area. Hence, I decided to follow my graduate study in Ph.D. level and accordingly apply for a faculty position. As a result of this definite decision, I even turn down the job offer of Mercedes-Benz Company for battery localization project in Beijing.
Recounting my journey so far, I am grateful that I have strived consistently to become a person I am today. Challenges never blurred my vision of life. I am glad to possess this innate desire to learn and explore. (ABRUBT ho raha hai)As doing undergraduate in Biomedical Engineering, I look forward to refine my knowledge and skills in my areas of interest through Master’s of Engineering Course in University of Ottawa, which will provide me a platform to engage in intensive and innovative research in future.(already mentioned in the paragragh highlighted below. Talk about this goal in that para only)
“If you do not believe you can do it then you have no chance at all”, as quoted by Arsene Wenger, one of the best sporting minds in the world. The above mentioned statement served as a fuel for me in my academic career so far. My academic career had many twists and turns, sometimes obstructing my way, but it actually blessed me in disguise that latter I self-realized that one should be content with his/her performance, and accepted the blockades in a very challenging aspect and succeeded them by doing fairly well than what I presumed before. It will always serve as an inspiration for me and will lead as sole base to carry the expectations of mine and family.
“The first and simplest emotion we discover in the human mind is curiosity”. And this aptly applies to my childhood too. It made me question every other thing I come in contact with. In addition, this inquisitiveness helped me garner in-depth knowledge about subjects in school. I was more inclined towards practical or hands-on experience rather than mere classroom learning. My interest in logically oriented subjects like maths, statistics and science propelled me to take up science as a major in college. I was of the belief that if you want to excel in a particular field, you need have to practical experience for better understanding of the pros and cons of that filed. This attitude not only contributed to my high grades in schooling and college, but also helped me gain a stronghold over the concepts of applied sciences.
Frankly, my family always encouraged me to become a doctor at the hospital, so I grew up having the dream of joining the Medicine School to fulfill my family’s ambition which I thought it was mine too. In grade 10, I was studying at night and suddenly the electricity went off and that made me think what if I am a doctor doing a life-and-death surgery for a patient and the power goes out. I thought about energy recourses and other medical equipment the doctors use, who made them? I started thinking that I can provide more services than doctors do. I can design and produce items that all use and provide reliable and sustainable energy for us all. From that night, I decided to study an engineering-related discipline, and upon completing high school and after consulting a Mechanical Engineering graduate who explicitly explained to me what mechanical Engineering is all about, I found that Mechanical Engineering is the best choice among the engineering fields.
To study the program, I had to overcome many a hurdle- such as the common entrance examination which I had to take alongside thousands of students. I passed the examination with flying colors. I took up Mechanical Engineering in Babaria institute of technology which is affiliated to the prestigious Gujarat Technological University. I chose Mechanical Engineering as my undergraduate major as I believed it had tremendous potential. Throughout my undergraduate program, I have maintained an excellent academic record.
A) The specific academic program that is best for turning my passion into a powerful career is mechanical engineering. This will be my academic major course of study, and will most likely lead to a graduate program in mechanical engineering. Naturally, the academic coursework needed to complete an undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering will prepare me for a successful career in the field of applied science and product design.
The goal to pursue a career in the field of business has always been part of my plans since my early teen years. I believe that the interest I possess leads to continuous learning process. As an Engineer with work experience, I’m taking up graduate study to refine my knowledge and skills in my areas of interest.
