Here i am going to list every Thought that went through my mind while watching this Biased Video
Ronald Reagan and Barack Obama both served two terms as president of the United States. As president, both men enjoyed a measure of success with the space program and NASA in general. Each president chose a different set of goals for NASA, however. These goals reflect the presidents’ views on America’s place in the world as a scientific and commercial leader as well as the times in which the two presidents served.
The person the I choose for the MVP project was Barack Obama. Barack Obama was born in August 4, 1961, Honolulu, Hawaii, U.S. Barack Obama was the 44th president of the United States and the first African American to serve in the office. Barack Obama Has won two Grammy awards. Signed the Affordable Care Act which provided health insurance to over 20 million uninsured Americans. Barack Obama published his first and second book.
Obama went to high school at Punahou Academy. While in school, he played basketball and was academically very achieved. He graduated from Punahou Academy in 1979 with honors.
I believe the president, President Obama, has gone beyond his boundaries on being the president of the United States. This means that I am for the motion that Obama has past his boundaries as being a president. President Obama has set off a war without the congress anal consent, which was stated clearly in the Constitution. “Article II, Section 3 of the Constitution states that the president “shall take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed,”. “A duty Obama flouted by taking unilateral action to suspend the employer mandate of Obamacare, and through his executive orders on immigration.” The Framers have separated the three branches by checks and balances, which needs to be followed. However, following exertive orders, many hate being told
I am writing to you in regards to the quickly approaching 2016 Presidential Election. As your
The road to becoming president is rockier than a mountain trail. Through all the ups and downs, a Presidential candidate must stay calm and do what is necessary to win. That is exactly what soon-to-be President Barack Obama did back in 2008. Through this crisis-risen scenario, he didn’t budge, he didn’t change, he didn’t back down. He stepped up to the stage, swung, and hit a homerun with his speech by sticking to simple literature basics, and putting rhetorical devices one after another, from start to finish of the speech.
Has President Obama done a good job? A controversial question many Americans are talking about today. Considering the nature of a Presidential job and the state our economy was in when President Obama was elected, I believe that he has done the best job he could. Many people do not see his accomplishments and the great things he has put into place not only helping to stimulate our economy but helping to make American soil feel like a safe place again.
Exploration and innovation are an innate part of America today, yet some of the public during the early 1960s was opposed to joining the space race which lead America into a great technological era. After proposing a plan to Congress to increase the budget for space exploration, Harvard graduate and President John F. Kennedy addressed the American people from Rice University in Houston, Texas in 1962 to arouse support for the continuation of space exploration and increasing funding for NASA (Freidel and Sidey). In his revered speech, “We choose to go to the moon,” he ambitiously proclaimed the need for American exploration and the maintenance of leadership in all aspects of innovation. Kennedy reminds his audience space must be “used
@Bold [above] I agree with your comment, but. I feel you left some facts out.
TO A BIGOT WHO SOMEHOW BECAME PRESIDENT ELECT, FROM A DESOLATE NATION: We are Afraid, I am Furious, I am Disappointed, I Feel Betrayed, and You’re to Blame.
President Obama barely hung on until winning the 2012 general election. This first became evident after the democrats lost the house in the 2010 midterms, and almost lost the senate. In the states, republicans picked up multiple governorships and seats in state legislatures. The feeling that Obama was losing ground continued with the debacle over the national debt, after which Obama’s approval numbers dropped. He was not helped by the fact that congress could not pass a budget; all parties were blamed for this, including Obama. Eventually, he slowly worked his way back toward having a chance in the general election, in part due to a few events and decisions he made. The Unemployment rate dropped, the Occupy Wall Street movement began, and he supported various social issues that were becoming more popular, such as gay
After a grueling long primary for both major parties, the Republican and Democratic Parties, Hillary Clinton emerged as the favorite-to-win the 2016 election, and several magazines stating before Election Day that Clinton had already won. On November 8th, Newsweek released “125,000 copies” of magazines with the title of “Madam President: Hillary Clinton’s historic journey to the White House” (Greenslade). During the Democratic Primaries, Hillary Clinton’s campaign had already decided on Tim Kaine to be her Vice-President and decided whom to pick for her Cabinet. Additionally, Hillary Clinton was endorsed by The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, The Washington Post, and a dozen of other newspapers, and endorsed by hundreds of politicians, celebrities, businessmen, and activists, thus, a great sum of people had confidence that she would win the 2016 Presidential Election (Berke, Harrington). The day before Election Day, pollsters from various organizations, such as New York Times, FiveThirtyEight, and the Huffington Post, predicted Hillary Clinton would win the Presidency of the United States by overwhelming margins, such as 85%, 71%, and 98% respectively. (Katz).
When choosing our president, not only should we look at their politics, but we should also look at their character. The certain qualities a person possesses can potentially determine what kind of leader they will be. I believe that a good leader possesses the qualities of dependability, integrity and trustworthiness, all of them of which Barack Obama showed during his Presidency. Without these qualities, I don’t see how any person can lead and direct a group, or in this case, a whole nation.
Obama utilizes the power of persuasion through his political speeches; his discourse is made to be easily understood and have a clear meaning for his audience. Using body language, rhetorical practice and tricolon devices, Obama has inspired his audience through emotions and desires for new politics.
