A group of girls said that she was a loser that has no friends and that is what made her commit suicide ((Asbury Park Press).Bullying is an issue that teachers should take seriously because situations like Mallory’s and many others still continue to happen. The teachers probably did nothing to stop other people from bullying this girl. When Mallory did tell a teacher, this teacher probably told her to toughen up and just ignored her complaints. She probably felt that if the teacher won’t do anything to stop the tormenting then she would just take her life. She clearly became depressed and wanted to take her life to end her pain and suffering. If the teacher did say anything to the girls who bullied Mallory the girls said they are just joking with her and that she is just too sensitive. The teacher took the other girls’ word for it so the

For most children learning process itself may already be a daily struggle and being a target for bullying at the same time can become "the straw that broke the camel's back", after which they consider suicide as the only possible solution.
