An 8-year-old is sick is having internal pain. The next night they are complaining that their head and stomach hurts. Then that morning they are in too much pain to get out of bed, and they seem so miserable. Then you take them to the E.R. and the doctor is too afraid to tell you what is happening. Then he finally says it. “Your son has leukemia cancer.” The probability of a man or women getting cancer is 38.5% so if I know someone who has cancer I can remember this topic and the solutions. Also it would be cool to find out about 20 more types of cancers than I knew before. There were about 3 questions about cancer. The first one I wondered and was the main one what is the amount of people who had cancer. The next one was “How many types are there in the world?” And the final question was the most rarest type of cancer in the world. There are some problems, but those problems can be solved by the solutions.
Cancer is when a cell in your body keeps producing new cells but the cells they produce are bad and the bad cells keep multiplying rapidly. The bad cells attack the good ones. Some types of cancer you can’t do anything about because it might be hereditary and the type of cancer might not be able to cure or you can’t afford the cure. According to Brittanic School “In 2000, more than 500,000 people died of cancer in the United States, more than 500,000 in India, more than 60,000 in Canada, and more than 35,000 in Australia. In the European Union, which in 2000 comprised 15 nations, more than 900,000 people died of cancer.” Some things that cause cancer is exposure to too much radiation and toxic chemicals. That is a way to get internal cancer but some types you can prevent. Skin cancer you can prevent by putting on a good bit of sunblock and then after 1 to 1.5 hours, reaply it and eat fruits and vegetables as Discovery Education has stated. Some cancers can’t be cured or are really hard to cure. Some you might not be able to afford so there might not be anything else anyone can do so the life of that person will be cut short, but it happens to some people sadly. Some drugs that can cure cancer you can be allergic to. Also the drugs eliminate the bad calls but they damage the good ones too so there are some

“Lets not call cancer patients as patients, they are cancer fighters. They are brave hearts” - Vikrmn, Gura. Nowadays, you hear more and more people getting cancer(13). It is a stress that many people worry about. You worry if one of your parents will get it. You pray your children don't’ get it. It’s a constant worry. You watch television and you can get this horrible monster from microwaving your food, drinking bottled water, carrying your phone in your pocket, using deodorant, coloring your hair and much more. Finding a cure for cancer would be a prayer answered for many.
Known as one of the world’s most deadly diseases, second only to heart disease, cancer is a well known killer. Cancer is a disease mankind has been burdened with since the first documented records of human existence (“The History of Cancer”). Until the early 1900s, cancer was exclusively treated with surgery, which didn’t usually yield very effective results. Only recently have doctors reached a point where they can use drug therapies to suppress the disease. Relative to humans, cancer treatments are very new. Because the market for pharmaceutical drugs is so new, they lack many regulations and pricing guidelines. This allows these new companies to create a drug and place almost any price on it. The system in place can very easily be taken
Fighting cancer can be difficult, you have to do many treatments such as radiation, chemotherapy, and many others that treat cancer. You have to do this at different times during the lifetime of cancer. Casey found out he had cancer after the doctors revealed a lump in his neck, he was diagnosed with lymphoma in the beginning of his junior year. Casey combatted cancer all of his junior year, he had to do school at home while travel to Dallas Texas to do his cancer treatment. Casey Fought cancer his junior year and still accomplished to graduate his senior year which makes him a hero by fighting his cancer, caring for his family, and being around others when he could easily get sick. One quote says, "Cancer does not define me, but how I live
Did you know that cancer is the number 1 killer disease in children. Kids with Cancer foundation seems to be the right choice in charity in our opinion. We strongly believe that the hard earned profit of project business deserves to go to this great cause. Kuldeep and I were saddened by the fact that 1 in 333 kids get cancer in their life. Which is a really big issue that needs to be cured. Furthermore, out of every ten kids with cancer, only three survive. It is very unfortunate that many kids in Edmonton get cancer. Cancer in adults takes some time to spread all over the body, whereas cancer in children spreads like wildfire. A lot of children have to endure the dreadful tumours that the cancer causes, painful chemotherapies and
Breast cancer is an extremely common disease, affecting about 12% of women in the United States. That’s why The American Cancer Society recommends that all women get their regular mammograms every year after age 40. On top of that, women are taught to look out for any unusual lumps or bumps. That way, they can notify their doctors right away and try to catch any suspected breast cancers early. Did you know that besides an obvious lump or mass, there are other signs of breast cancer that are more subtle? Here, we share some more subtle signs of breast cancer that all women should be aware of.
Cancer. We all know someone who has suffered from it or has passed away because of it. Cancer now affects one in every three people, and is the second highest cause of death in the United States. For decades, the medical community has been on the hunt for a cure for cancer, and have been subjected to intense ridicule from the public because of a lack of progression toward a possible cure. In recent years, many scientists, doctors, researchers, and the general public have come to believe that the cure for cancer is being suppressed because of this lack of progress. Those who say it is suppressed claim that the drugs used to treat cancer actually cause cancer, making a patient sicker and sicker. As a result, the patients are forced to spend
At one time or another, you will most likely get a colonoscopy. It's not going to be necessarily enjoyable, but it is preventing you from getting colon cancer, which is the leading cause of cancer deaths. Furthermore, this year it's expected to claim the lives of nearly 50,000 people in the United States. All for something that is largely preventable if you take the right action!
I know I shouldn’t be eavesdropping. I don’t know what emotions to have about this. Last summer, my family found out that my poppop was diagnosed with stage 4 Cancer. The Cancer spread to his whole body. He got a few shots and the doctors said he was getting worse. He started to make a list of everywhere he wanted to go before he died. He wanted to visit Alaska, Canada, Washington D.C, and to the annual family camping trip to Frontier Town. As the weeks and months went on, the doctors said he was getting better until one day he showed up at the hospital. He told them the story of what had happened, “I was just walking around my house and I laid down on the couch, when I tried to stand up my legs gave out and I fell to the ground. No one was home so I couldn’t call for help.” The doctors were upset to hear that his legs were already giving out. They told him that he had to stay in the hospital for a little while and they put him on medication. The medication was helping him and the doctors thought that he was getting better, but they said that he should not be walking around anymore. The doctors said that if he wanted to get somewhere he has to move around by someone pushing him in a wheelchair. He visited Washington D.C and he said he had so much fun and that he was really glad he got to go there before he died.
Thank you everyone for your kind words, thoughts and prayers. I've received several personal messages (some thought I had taken a turn for the worse)... I want to assure everyone that I'm fine and feeling great. The three biopsies show my cancer to be slow growing, not very aggressive cancer (Gleason score of 3 + 3). I really just wanted to get the information out there. It was not something that I shared with most people and I felt it was time to say something. Also, I'm not on some crazy sort of “Steve Jobs treatment.” Active surveillance is a treatment – it just not normally used by someone my age. My goal is to prolong any sort of treatment as long as I can. Like I said, I was diagnosed over 4 years ago and in those 4 years the way prostate cancer is treated has changed drastically. Technologies are improving and changing the treatment options every day. In the last four years the use of MRI, robotic surgery, proton radiation and many more ) every day! Some of theses treatments have been around for 10 years! However, the way they are being used has changed. I will tell you one thing......... The engineer that designed the trans-rectal coil for the MRI needed to test it on him or herself before they went to production. It really is a “square peg round hole” medical device.
How does it feel waking up to your body aching and going to the doctor numerous times a week all because you have cancer? How would it sound if there was a way that one could be treated just by taking pills — maybe three times a day? During my research about the wonderful cancer curing drug, I have noticed a few things. In the three articles about cancer, the main point in all of them was the fact that they all do the same thing — cure cancer in the human body. However, the only difference between the articles is that they refer to the cure as something different.
Today in the world there are many different types of reproductive cancers. A reproductive cancer I’m going to be writing about is Breast cancer. Yes, its Breast Cancer. According to American Cancer Society (2017) Breast cancer is “Breast cancer starts when cells in the breast begin to grow out of control. These cells usually form a tumor that can often be seen on an x-ray or felt as a lump. The tumor is malignant (cancer) if the cells can grow into (invade)surrounding tissues or spread (metastasize) to distant areas of the body. Breast cancer occurs almost entirely in women, but men can get cancer too (pg.1). Although Breast cancer first start in the breast, it can also start from other places surrounding that tissue or area.
Everyday, an abundance of people ask what they can do to prevent themselves from especially getting cancer. Cancer, very similar to the steps of mitosis, occurs when cells divide uncontrollably. It starts by how a cell or a group of cells doesn’t follow the body’s typical growth controls. Cancer is hard to detect in the early stages due to the fact that it produces very few symptoms. Many rumors go around about what you can do to reduce cancer, but what you hear is not always true depending on the source you heard it from. The Prevent Cancer Foundation has come together with four of the best ways to help reduce your risk of getting cancer. Three of the most common ways are to eat healthy, be active, and to not smoke.
As we busily bustle around our lives, a prevalent problem surfaces, disease. The mournful realization when assessing our situation, is that sick people are polluting the world. Diseases spread like wildfire, leaving a wake of destruction in their path. Our inability to defeat disease highlights the problem, and I have the solution...
