¨Thanksgiving, after all, is a word of action,¨ stated W.J Cameron. This quote is just saying in other words, Thanksgiving is what you make of it. Thanksgiving can be all about what you’re grateful for and spending time with family or Thanksgiving can simply be about eating, and only that. This year, for Thanksgiving, I will be spending time with my family, for which I’m very grateful. Since some of my family has moved out of NJ, Thanksgiving isn't the same as it was before, but we still have a good time. Although I am grateful for the many blessings in my life, three are most important to me: my family, my braces, and my teachers. The first blessing I will be introducing to you is my family. My parents have always been there for me and supported me, financially and mentally. My parents have given me everything I have ever asked for, to an extent. My sister has always been there for me, my brothers have cheered me up, when I needed it, we are there for each other. Whenever I need to talk about something, I know I can count on my sister. Since my sister is not that much older than me, I can talk to her about anything. My brothers have supported me mentally, they know when I'm not happy, so they try to be there for me and cheer me up. …show more content…

Overall, I’m grateful for most of my teachers, they have shaped me into becoming a better
A huge turkey piping hot on the middle of the table surrounded by stuffing, mash potatoes, cranberry sauce, bread rolls, and corn on the cob. I always thought everyone had the same type of Thanksgiving. Where everyone gets their turkey, drowns the turkey in gravy, and sits down to watch the football game. Too my surprise, that isn’t how it is for my classmates. I realize now that Thanksgiving varies in every household

It’s the season of fall, almost winter. The leaves turn into a mix of all types of orange colors and the change of decor your mom brings to the house to advocate the time of Thanksgiving or the foods you’ve been waiting all year round to just smash your face into. Thanksgiving is a difficult day to hear God’s Word. The minds of the cooks in the pews are in the oven and on the stovetop, or maybe even still at the grocery store. The eyes and ears of grandmothers are on their grandchildren. Today’s parable shows that the thoughts of farmers remain with their grain, whether in the field, the barn, or the market. Perhaps the Scripture passage for the day ought to be Mary and Martha.
Today, November 22. Today, we prepare for a feast. Thanksgiving is just around the comer and so many good things to eat is going to be available for our enormous appetites. While decisions and preparation for meat selections are being made, the vegetables and deserts are also major part of our menu. Sometimes little thought is given to the items we should be most thankful for. I watch with horror, as many have had to leave their homes and bed down in streets, roadside parks or wherever they can find a place to sleep. Many have starved to death and many have died of exposure. Well, we should not be thanking about that on thanksgiving week. However, somebody needs to think of these people and do something rather quickly before more die. Let us

nimals, I think it's kind of gross, but I don’t have the commitment to say I'm a vegetarian. Anyway, I don't enjoy eating animals that much, it's just not for me but that's a personal problem. But that's the main focus of Thanksgiving! People just call is Turkey Day, sometimes! So, there's one holiday food, OUT! Next in line, we have stuffing. Mmm don’t you just love good old fashioned wet bread to fill your genetically modified turkey's carcass? Ew! What? Why is that a thing? I don't need to argue this further, I think you get it. The only other key player in the Thanksgiving meal that comes to mind is pumpkin pie. Pumpkin spice is a fan favorite, starting early September people go wild over everything flavored to taste like that festive squash. That's another one of those foods that I just don't like, I'm a picky eater, it's fine. So, I'll let everyone have that, but that does not make Thanksgiving more enjoyable to me. The only Thanksgiving food that I can thoroughly enjoy, are mashed potatoes. Those are glorious, I'm not mad at them but my family gets a little upset at me when that's all I eat for Thanksgiving dinner so it doesn't even count. Major portion of Thanksgiving celebration is the food, and I'm not into it. Boom! Holiday ruined! I mean, if I'm going to overeat, it might as well be foods I enjoy! But, it gets worse.
Why spend money that is really needed for other things? Why live uncomfortably? Why be trapped in this hole called a home that belongs to another person? Why not live free and peacefully? When a person rents he or she usually throws away money that could be used to purchase something that belongs to them. Money is not easy to come by so why pay out hundreds toward something that is not benefit to the person paying it out. There is no good explanation for making a decision like this. The best option in a situation like this is to buy a house. Buying a house is a better option than renting an apartment.
