It was his intelligence that drove every second of his ambitions that he once dreamed of as a kid. In three years, Bartholomew could see himself as a valedictorian of his high school and in seven years a graduate of a prestigious university… everything that he once pictured in his mind was becoming a reality. In seven years, every ounce of sweat and tears developed into the job he always pictured, a neurosurgeon. For twenty years he spent endless hours working, spending no time with his family, no time with himself, no time with his life. He had the time, yet he was determined to become someone well known and successful. By the time he noticed, forty more years had passed, he was eighty six years old, he wanted to spend time with his family, himself, and the life around him, but what he didn’t notice was that he was already dead.
More often than not, individuals with a sense of purpose to pursue a certain objective in life can become too arrogant and lose the grip of time. Many come to believe that having a certain amount of money or a higher rank status in a job determines success, when in reality success isn’t real. Although it is great to have a certain purpose in life, it shouldn’t be spent working all the time, but rather living every moment the fullest potential.
When it comes to how people feel, one can feel pressured to find the most prosperous life out there. Constantly individuals become victims to the people closest to them and even their own consciousness
