You’ve probably heard someone say, “Don’t Text and Drive” at least once or even an abundance. I hear it all the time but seriously, why do people feel the need to utilize their phones while driving? Are they more focused on texting someone back or the actual road? Texting while driving is an intensely menacing thing somebody could possibly perform. Texting and driving don’t suit together and it should stand illegal. Many innocent people’s lives are placed into danger when someone decides to text while driving. I was one of those innocent people once when someone decided to text while driving and it left an immense effect on me which led me to change my mind in a fundamental way about this texting and driving issue.

Another reason why texting and driving should be forbidding is that there are many lives at risk. Debate.org (year) also discusses how many drivers feel that texting while driving is easy to do. It is disappointing knowing that drivers are not putting their safety first based off that opposing argument. Texting and driving is a real issue in our country and outside of spreading awareness or creating ineffective distracted driving laws. no one has really tried to solve this problem. I am here to tell You that you should not text and drive because it distracts you, causes accidents and limits your driving ability. The first reason I think you should not text and drive is because it distracts you. You must look at your phone for long periods of time. Another reason it distracts you is because you have two hands on your phone instead of having two hands on the wheel which means you have no control. The next reason it distracts you is because you can not look at phone and road. Trust me I know you think you are a good driver, but you are still young and inexperienced.
