Abortion has been one of the most popular and argumentative topics that has still yet to be settled. Ultimately the question we can ask when trying to solve this issue is whether or not pregnant women should have the right to kill an unborn baby. Abortion is the ending of a pregnancy before birth takes place and is a moral wrong. Can we as a society call ourselves human if we allow the deaths of unborn babies to take place? From 1973 to 2003 around 1 million abortions have been performed in the U.S alone and after the Roe vs. Wade case was found in favor in Roe which has led to a large controversy over whether or not an abortion kills a person. Today I will not argue over which side is right or wrong, but show you the facts and ethics of an abortion, and leave you the listener to choose whether or not to believe and act upon these truths. First the argument over abortion is not about women's right. Many people associate abortion with women's right but this is not the case. The argument for or against abortion lies in whether or not an abortion murders a person. Now with that context set we must now look to see first whether something is being killed and the answer is yes. Any Biomedical scientist will tell you that a unborn babies cell is different from that of her mother and if an unborn baby were part of her mother the cells of the baby would match that of her mother but it has been scientifically proven as a fact that a unborn baby is composed of entirely different cells than her mother. This meaning that the baby is an entirely different organism. Also we know something is being killed because the unborn baby has different cells meaning a entirely different organism is killed during the abortion process. Researcher say there’s at least 3,000 a day in the United State, and about 125,000 in the whole world. Twenty-two percent of all pregnancies in the U.S. end in abortion. Nearly half the pregnancies in the U.S. are unintended and four in ten of these are terminated by abortion. One woman dies every seven minutes from an abortion. Women that are between the ages of 20-25 have more abortion then teenagers, which you would think teenager would have more. This is horrible how many abortion happen in the U.S. let alone the world! Those statistics are saying that we could have had 125,000 more amazing children on this earth, one of them could have been the next great thing, but you're never gonna know because you killed you own baby. Abortion is a very touchy subject in America nowadays considering all the laws being passed that abortion should be illegal. There are obviously different sides to this. Many people believe that abortions are unethical. I'm not here to give you my argument or tell you which side I'm on, even though it will be really hard for me to not express my emotions. I am here to inform you on what an abortion is and the many factors people talk about while arguing about abortions.

Abortion Abortion today is very dangerous not just to a baby but to the mother as well. Every day there is 600 abortions a day world wide. On November 15 2017, there was 332 abortions since i loaded the page which was five minutes. Abortions happen every day and if there was 332 abortions in five minutes imagine all the abortions that happen every day. So today i am going to be talking about all the abortions that happen every day, and how abortions are done.

My days are rarely empty and I definitely don’t get enough sleep, but I imagine that won’t change. I have school Monday through Friday and practice after school usually. Sometimes there isn’t space in the gym or it matters what season it is so we might have it in the morning. Though I have decided to not play basketball this school year, I am still busy. Whether you were at work, sitting at home watching TV, or not even born yet, there are many crazy things that happened in the year 1996 that you have never heard about. I was born on December 20, 1996 in Miles City, Montana. This means that while most of these crazy events were taking place, I was not even born yet. A few things that happened in 1996 include the vetoing of the ban on a procedure for late abortions, the Unabomber being captured and arrested, and South Africa receiving a new constitution.

At 13 weeks into her pregnancy, 29-year-old Jessica Smith lost her 5th baby, lifesitenews states. “I expected to be handed a blob that early into pregnancy. But instead, I was handed a perfectly formed tiny baby. He had perfectly formed fingers and toes. He had tiny, completely identifiable ears, nose, and mouth,” Jessica Smith told lifesitenews. According to Procon, abortion is one of the most debated topics in the United States (Procon).  Planned Parenthood states, there are two different ways a woman can undergo an abortion, the abortion pill, or an in-clinic abortion. The pill only works up to ten weeks into a pregnancy. The doctor will give a woman her first pill in the clinic, and anywhere from six to 48 hours later, a woman can take the second one at home. There are two different types of in-clinical abortions. A suction abortion is used for a pregnancy anywhere between ten and 16 weeks. It uses suction to empty the uterus. Dilation and evacuation is used for a pregnancy anytime after 16 weeks and involves suction, and medical tools to empty a woman’s uterus (Planned Parenthood). Abortion results in terminating an unwanted pregnancy and should be illegal worldwide.

A long on-going subject that has been greatly debated in our society is abortion. Many people argue that because the baby in the mother’s womb is not alive, aborting him or her is not considered a murder. However, others say that as the baby’s heart and brain are the first things to develop, the baby is technically alive and killing it would be a murder. As soon as the baby has a heartbeat, it has life. Abortion has many characteristics of a murder, including the killing of one human being by another, it’s unethical, and it is done without the consent of the person.

You slowly stick your head inside the restroom to see your mother throwing up with severe nausea. You grinned proudly to yourself, as you walk towards your sister's bedroom. Your last wish was to make your sister admire you, but it appears her moral judgment will not allow her to do anything unethical. Incest is so taboo for her, and that's a line she wouldn't dare cross.

Specific Purpose: To persuade the audience to chose life Abortion is when a mother decides to terminate her pregnancy. Many people have different opinions about this ethical and moral issue.
