Did you know the pit bull has less bite force than an average domestic dog? I will be telling you why pitbulls should be pets. I will tell you about their characteristics, bite force, and why they shouldn’t get banned. Pit bulls are great dogs for their working ability.

Owning an exotic pet can go wrong in a lot of ways and it can seriously harm the animal you are keeping, other animals, and people; including the animal's owner. If someone would want to try to keep one of these animals they would have to put a lot of work, time, and money into it because you have to keep the animal healthy, happy, safe, and you also have to make sure you are keeping everyone else safe including yourself. The story begins on a snowy Christmas day about three years ago. My family and I were at my Gma’s house opening presents by the toasty fire. At this point in time it was safe to say that I had a small obsession with large stuffed animals. I had asked for a giant stuffed gorilla from my Aunt Katie to start my collection. Although she tried to disguise it, I knew instantly what it was because of the large box she put it in. I was overjoyed when I opened it and I gave her and my Uncle Mike hugs. I quickly decided that the best name would be “gorilly”, and at the time I thought that I was extremely creative.  I oogled at the gorilla for the next couple hours that we were at my Gma’s, and when we left to go to my other Grandma’s house I wanted to make sure I had this giant gorilla on my lap. I thought that by doing this the gorilla would be more “safe” and I didn’t have the slightest idea of how this would ever affect me.

Part of being a loving, responsible Pit Bull owner is providing him with the proper diet to ensure he stays healthy. Many owners believe just because they purchase the most expensive brands of dog food for their Pit Bull that he is getting all of the vitamins and nutrients he needs, but often times, that is not the case. Humans can’t meet all of their nutritional requirements by eating one particular food, and neither can your Pit Bull. You are the one who is in control of this day to day aspect of your Pit Bull’s life, so essentially his health is up to you.

Pit bulls are the most misunderstood dog breeds in the world. When people hear the word pit bull they automatically think of dogs fighting and attacking. When people say "pit bull" they're usually referring to a range of breeds and, often, a mixed-breed dog. When I was in high school I had a friend, who was kind of a dork. This friend of mine would make videos about finding his “inner animal”. He would video himself shooting his bow in his basement. While he was doing this, he would explain how he found his “inner animal”. He would then tell his “fans” ways that they could find their “Inner Animal”. I would watch this video all the time with my friends. We would always joke around about finding our “inner animals” while we were hanging out. Most of the time I thought it was dorky but, then one day it hit me! What is my “inner animal”? What were things that made me, me? Would I find my “inner animal” while doing things I loved? After that day, I tried really, hard to find myself, to find my “inner animal”. At times, I questioned why I was doing it. I thought it doesn’t matter because I have good friends who like me for who I am. I’ve never done anything bad in my life to make it hard. I believed that was knowing myself at times. But, it’s not! I needed to truly know who I am so I have that foundation to keep me strong through the thick and the thin. I wanted to be confident in myself. And finding your “inner animal” will help you with just that.
