I plan on using my business in arts degree to help me start my own photography business. The reason why I’m choosing to open a photography business is that I believe photography is a beautiful art form that my late father introduced to me. I enjoy being able to take pictures of moments for my customers that they can look back on and appreciate or reminisce. This degree will help me build a career that will not only allow me to do something I love but also be able to share my and my dad’s passion for photography with

If I had the money, I would get a professional camera. I can see myself being a professional photographer and capturing memories that people can see forever. I do not necessarily need a communication- media degree to become a photographer, but the degree could be beneficial. During college, I could take classes in marketing to help me learn how to promote my future photography business. According to the Lassi assessment I took a couple of weeks ago, I do well at concentration and attention to academic tasks. I would have to be able to concentrate well when I take good, quality photos for people. Being an independent photographer would allow me to work for myself and set my own hours. (Disclaimer: I 've had people ask me complex questions about getting into the professional photography business. While I have friends in the profession and know that Photoshop is a necessary tool for the modern photographer, I 'm not in the business, so I can 't answer related questions; I just have a knack for retouching the photos of friends and family and am familiar with the workings of the program.)
