    A countires location can also affect how people live. Anything from climate to where the country is located compared to the equator can completely determine how someone lives. A place with a rainy climate that may rely on industry will be completely different that one with a more mild climate that relies on agriculture. A countires location from the equator will also drastically affect how people live. A country like Brazil that is right next to the equator will focus their industries on different things than a country like Russia, who is far away from the equator, will rely on different types of industries. A country’s location can also determine how it is affected by natural disasters.For example, Thailand has a risk of tsunamis, California is greatly affected by earthquakes, and places like Hawaii are affected by volcanos. All of those things can affect a country's economy and development.

Generational poverty has different hidden rules, and beliefs than situational poverty. Generational poverty usually has violence, instability, uneducated adults, addiction, incarceration, death, and lack of space in a household. Poverty is an issue that must be addressed to the population loud and clear or everyone will end up suffering. There are many families trying to survive and live from paycheck to paycheck. Unfortunately, there are some families that are unable to support himself or herself or any family member. One important key issue of poverty in the United States is inequality. Many Americans blame the poor people for their own fate but you should never judge a book by its cover. There can be many reasons why an individual or families end up in poverty. For example, low wage jobs, discrimination and social inequality, vulnerability to natural disasters, war and political instability. Another big issue we face today is child poverty. This is a very critical issue because these young children are our future. If we let these children live in poverty, there is a higher chance they will drop out of school, look for work in order to support their family, or give up in life.

Poverty is the state of lacking vital living essentials such as money, food, water, clothing, and shelter. The American economist defined poverty as being deprived of "those goods and services and pleasures which others around us take for granted" (Orshansky). Poverty is a global problem, but there is much debate regarding how to define poverty and how to remedy it in its various forms. Poverty affects both isolated individuals and larger groups of people. It is especially common in developing countries that have yet to establish governmental social programs, civil services, and human rights standards.

Poverty is not having enough money to have the basic necessities in life. It is an issue within the United States and the world. There are many children that grow up in poverty and the effects can last throughout the life. When growing up in poverty there can be high- risk of teen pregnancy, poor heath, crime, Drug use and a lack of education. (Boyden)

However, what truly defines poverty? Is it a lack of money, or lack of food or even lack of proper hygiene? Although these characteristics alone or combined can often define people living in poverty, the truth is that these are only perceptions. To live in poverty means that your income falls below the official poverty line for a given family size. In a broader sense, the living conditions of the poor are difficult to measure, both because annual cash income is only one factor related to living conditions, and because the poor are quite heterogeneous (Federman, Garner & Short, 1997). The perceptions or "myths" that the population has about poverty are distinguished by a "high degree of constancy" across generations and by an "equally pronounced capacity for evolution", adapting to changes in knowledge and social circumstance (Blumenburg, 1995 pp.34). Society buying into these myths and some impoverished adhering to the myths feed the fuel for society's beliefs and perceptions.

Poverty can be defined as a state of being extremely poor, not having the ability to own any possessions of their own. When looking at the global economy as a whole, it becomes very ostensible that the majority of people living in poverty is women and children. All over the world millions of women and children are living in poverty. Whether we are looking at a developed country or a less developed country, it is adamant. Between the different countries there are many different reasons on why an increase in poverty has occurred but the consequences that are left from poverty is all the same.

Poverty can change how people act and the way that they live in society. Poverty can also stand for the experience someone may lose by living the same way as everyone else around them. Poverty can mean different things such as lack money and experience, but all types of poverty can limit what a person can do such as in the short stories “The Gulf Coast,” “The Louisiana Live Oak Society,” and “The Man Who Was Almost a Man.”

Poverty is the fear of not knowing where your next meal is going to come from, or where you’re going to sleep at night. It’s living life without basic needs such as food, clothing, and shelter. The quality of living in poverty is changing over time and so is the perception which is based solely upon the individual. Therefore, ‘living in poverty” may vary from one person to the next. However, it can be best to view poverty through the actual living conditions.

Ultimately, poverty is highly complicated. However, as simple as the causes of poverty are, destitution is nonetheless treated as a complex matter that will remain with us until somebody comes up with a solution. Now, Poverty could be observed as both a positive and a negative. The negative effect is that it disturbs the development of the children's brains, well ‘duh’. The positive effect is that poverty tutors kids to be morally righteous in their actions, this statement can be a bit of an exaggeration but, it gets my point

Poverty perpetuates, infests family health and well being, hinders the ability for proper nutritional growth, chips away at personal resilience, deteriorates educational systems, widens the social gaps of “us” versus “them” feeding into stigmas.

Raw Materials Unavailability: Raw materials are less available or unavailable. It may be gathered from distance sources that incur high expenses. Poor infrastructure for production of product & services: Due to undeveloped mode of every sector , Production infrastructure is not suitable. Markets are not available: Market for products are not available. People want low cost product because they have less sources of income. Customers are less available for good products: High quality products are costly. They are not beared by customers because their purchasing power is low. More dependent families: Less people earn and more people want to consume. It means more people are dependent upon income generating members. Lands are not suitable for agriculture: Lands are mostly barren due to poor irrigation system, mismanagement of water, unavailability of modern agriculture methods application and tools, etc. People depend upon still upon ancient irrigation system. Cheap labors are available: Labors are easily available at low costs but they are mostly unskilled. So they are useless in technical works or in high rated projects.

Growing up in the environment which cannot provide you with your basic needs is challenging. Poverty is a chronic issue not only in United States but worldwide. A child growing in poverty passes through many emotional and physical problems which may last throughout the life span. Taking account of United States, about 22 percent of all children living with their families are below the poverty level. Over 40 percent of American children spend at least one year of their life in poverty before they turn 18. When a child spends time in poverty then it has a long
