Skin tags are small skin coloured tags that look like warts but can be identified as they have a longer stalk which the skin hangs from. These are usually formed by loose fibrous tissue and are usually found on there own but can appear in clusters. They can vary in size but not normally bigger than 2 inches in size. Other names skin tags are known as are cutaneous papilloma Common places skin tags grow are eyelids, neck, underarms, upper chest,buttock folds and groin folds. It is not known what causes skin tags and anyone can develop these but most common in elderly, overweight people.
