Why is the military dictatorship not good? It is supposed to believe that Thais are well-accustomed with the military dictatorship because Thailand has been launched a coup d’état by a military for 13 times since 1932. When it changed the government system from absolute monarchy to constitutional monarchy on June 24th, 1932 by the promoters, called Khana Rasadon including civil servants and the military elite. They seized the power of King Rama VII and declared the first constitution. After that, Thailand should become more democratic, but it would not. Normally, when a country is controlled by the oligarchy, the fundamental rights such as political expression would be limited. After launching the coup d’état in 2014, the NCPO released an article 44 of the interim constitution that prevents civilians to gather more than five persons or show any action against the government and affect a national security. Prachathai press wrote that five students in KhonKaen province were arrested after showing three fingers, which was the symbol against the dictatorship (2014).
