A Raisin in the sun is a play set in a Chicago’s Southside which sometime have happened during World War II and the present.
The play has been a medium for the African American citizens. Some scenes in the play show the unequal treatment of other people to the Black ones. The play has also been the symbol of the start of the Civil Rights Movement and the end of the African American citizens’ slavery. In the film Raisin in the Sun, Walter, even has a powerful characteristic, has been deceived and had lose the money Lena had given to him. Even the protest has already been started, the treatment of others to the Black ones are still the same.

The features of the character just prove that these African- American citizens are already free of fear. A fear that they are not capable of showing the abilities and skills that they have.
In the play of Raisin in the Sun, most probably, one could say that the central historical message of the film was the life story of the author. The author’s story portrays her own experiences in her past that had made some part of the story more interesting. In the film, the family leaves and move to a white neighbourhood, they have been discriminated. Like in Lorraine’s Hansberry’s (author) experience, they have also encountered prejudices from their neighbours.
In the society we have now shows that even racial discrimination is forbidden, it could still be seen everywhere- work places, schools, even in TV shows and movies. People’s thinking before and until now about the said issue might have improved but just a little. Another history context that the play has is the time when Walter (Lena’s son) fights and stand for his family’s right which could always be seen to every
