Zeus, also known as Jupiter by the Romans, is the Supreme King of the Gods and his symbols include a lightning bold, eagle and oak tree. He is the youngest son of the Titans Rhea and Cronus and has two brothers named Hades and Poseidon and three sisters named Hera, Hestia, and Demeter. Before him or any of his other siblings were born Cronus’s mother Gaea warned him that one of his children would overthrow him like he had done to his father. So to stop that from happening Cronus ate all of his children. When Zeus was born Rhea wrapped a stone with swaddled clothes and presented them to Cronus, who believed it was Zeus and devoured it. One of the myths involving Dionysus is the tale of King Midas. At one point King Midas helped Dionysus out and so Dionysus promised to grant him one wish. King Midas wished that he could turn anything into gold just by touching it. At first it was great, but then when he sat down to eat his food turned into gold. Then his daughter ran up to him to give him a hug and she turned to gold also so King Midas prayed and pleaded that Dionysus take back the wish. She is known as Athena, she is the daughter of Zeus and when she was born she did not have a mother, because from stories they say she was born from Zeus’s head. Athena since she was the goddess of wisdom and war she never lost a battle ever, she always made her own decisions to everything. After her battle strategies and being not so friendly on the field she did have compassion. By teaching woman to weave and pottery she was very nice.
