In addition, there is no mention of compliance and continued efficacy of the medication. There were no UDS or CURES reports available for review. Medical necessity of Tramadol has not been substantiated. Recommend non-certification. Non-certification here does not imply an abrupt cessation for a patient who may be at risk for withdrawal symptoms. Discontinuance should include a tapering prior to discontinuation to avoid withdrawal

The dose should be tailored individually to each patient based on their profile and blood pressure control. The initial recommended dose is 2.5 mg daily. Patients with a strongly activated renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system (RAAS) may experience an excessive drop in blood pressure following the initial dose. A starting dose of 1.25 mg Ramipril is recommended in these patients and they should be monitored closely. The dose can be doubled every 2-4 weeks until the target blood pressure is achieved without exceeding the maximum dose allowance of 10 mg daily.

Among them I would like to focus on opioid medications and its side effects. Opioid medications are narcotic pain medications that contain natural poppy plant, synthetic opiates such as; methadone, fentanyl, tapentadol and tramadol, as well as the semi- synthetic opioids such as; oxycodone, hydrocodone, oxymorphone, hydromorphone and heroin. Opioid prescriptions are morphine (C17H19NO3), heroin (C21H23NO5), codeine (C18H21NO3) and thebaine (C19H21NO3). They are highly addictive substances are called opiates. Opioid medications have been used for hundreds and thousands of years to treat both pain and mental health problems. It is also use in a short-term pain after surgery. According to the survey in the past two decades, the prescription of opioid in the United States has been increased to the higher levels that is more than 600% (Paulozzi & Baldwin, 2012). However, that opioid medications are very dangerous to the patients’ respiratory system, other parts of the internal body and even can cause death. It should be only being use after wise discernment and with a great care.

When an opioid attaches to a receptor, it can reduce the perception of pain.
