Raicine Rodriguez was born in San Bernardino California; she was the middle daughter of three girls. Her siblings and she had all different personalities; Raicine was the one who always seemed to think things through, perhaps a little too much. She lived her life as full as she allowed herself, while always thinking about the “what ifs,” before she gave her one-hundred percent. My good friend, Rebekah Dobbins was an exceptional woman. She was loved by many especially by her friends and of course me. She worked extremely hard throughout her life, her short life, but her best life. Living only till her 17th year, she was successful nonetheless working hard in her English class, band, and in theater participating in numerous high school musicals. I feel as though Rebekah really lived by the words of Shakespeare's As You Like It “All the world’s a stage, and all the men and women merely players; They have their exits and their entrances, And one man in his time plays many parts.” She truly did play all the parts. She played as a companion, a caregiver to those in need, and never once did she break such a strong character. A true chariot of gold.

This causes many to rarely visit or leave the island and as a consequence Abida is flung into a realm of enigma lying beyond the fringes of the New Englander's conscience. Without the aid of the mainland however, the disease, which is referred to locally as "scourge" takes large sections of

In the United States, starting salaries for teachers who have completed a four-year degree are far lower compared to many other professions, which also require a four-year degree. In most states, teachers must undergo testing and other rigorous certification requirements, but they are given the same consideration or status as beginning professionals in other areas. Although attractive incentives are offered, the compensation does not compare to the long hours of work and schooling required for a teaching career.
