Red Carpet car wash was my best job this summer. At Red Carpet my main job was to drive cars off the line. This task, for the most part, was very easy to accomplish. I would wait until the car is completely off the line, then I would start the car. Many cars were very fun to drive. Some customers even had cars that could even drive automatically. After starting the car I would have to wipe down the windshield. Sometimes the workload would be very low. Red carpet is always closed when it rains or when business is slow. This resulted in flexible hours and easy work. Sometimes we would get less than 30 cars a day. This allowed us to have a lot of free time as long as we got done with our cleaning tasks. The main reason Red Carpet was my favorite
Have you ever felt stressed about homework? Or have you ever wanted to just come home and relax? This is why the Burris Laboratory School should provide an in-school study hall during school. having study halls during the school day would help improve grades and understanding of subjects. By providing a study hall, there shouldn’t be any excuses for students to not doing their assignments. Not only will having a study hall increase grades, but will allow the students to fill their nights with some event or activity that the student likes doing.
“Get knowledge of the spine, for this is the requisite for many diseases.” –Hippocrates, 460-377 BC. If a Greek physician could make this statement over 2300 years ago, why is it such an under-exposed theory today? As stated in Chiropractic First, written by Dr. Rondberg, a chiropractor of 35 years and founder of the “Chiropractic Journal,” Hippocrates “believed that only nature could heal and it was the physician’s duty to remove any obstruction that would prevent the body from healing” (8-9). These “physicians” are called chiropractors today, and their goal is to remove subluxations, the displacement of two or more spinal disks that causes

Many people don’t know the importance of Red ribbon week, starting with the fact that it is about drugs. Most kids don’t know any type of drugs except smoking. Today is Thursday June 18, and thankfully I am feeling better after a whole week of sickness. Yesterday was a slow day I woke up late and did chores which I felt was a workout because by the time I was done I sweating like crazy. I felt that since my body was sick, my exertions felt twice as weak. Afterwards I just wanted to lay down in my bed and never get up but I decided since I was already sweaty I'd do more. So I got up and did some stretching, yo-ga, and some sit ups. Those I did to make-up a little for what I was missing.
The last place that I worked was Ruby Tuesday. Ruby Tuesdays was really fun to work at. The atmosphere was amazing and so were the workers. We all had one goal at the store and that was to ensure the best customer service to our guest. Daily as a team we prepped things before the store opened just to ensure that everything would look nice. Me as a hostess when I had to open the store used to have to walk around to make sure the closing hostess did her job and make sure that nothing was dusty and everything was set properly.
Mardi Gras, also known as Fat Tuesday, is celebrated all over the world and can be traced back to medieval Europe (mardigrasneworleans.com). Although times may have changed, the tradition of Mardi Gras remains the same. What comes to mind when you hear the words Mardi Gras? Personally, I think of colorful floats, lavish parades, and overall just a huge celebration. But do you really know the history and meaning behind this holiday and how it changed over time?
Club Room is Macy’s answer to the Jay Cru, Vineyard Vines and Brookes Brother phenomena. This smart casual, preppy and minimalistic line is geared towards the Northeastern man. Collard dress shirts, vests, sweaters and khaki shorts are staples in the catalog and for the most part work really well. The Design of the dress shirts are minimalist enough but have that flair for dress cloths that so many young men desire. Most of the cloths seems to have a flair aspect to it or an aspect that makes the piece pop. On some sweaters it’s a strip or a fade into another color, on shirts it’s a different cut or an interesting take on a classic pattern. Seasoned with accessories like ties, pocket squares, slippers, and pajamas, Club Rooms is defiantly
I had a chance to get involved in the Global Abilities – Philadelphia Rec Fest ‘s sixth annual. It is held at the Carousel House Recreation Center on September 24, 2016. Kate Miller is the one who mainly in charge of the volunteers and the overall set up of the event. Ironically, some athletes don't get their homework done due to sports, but they have a study hall to do it in, guessing they aren't band. What do they do in study halls then? They talk to their friends and mess around and get nothing done, and I'm sure they don't have sport practice all night until they have to go to bed. So they either mess around after practice or they just choose not to do their homework.
A cultural event that I have attended in the past that has had a memorable affect on my life was a Native American Powwow. This event takes place every year, Thanksgiving weekend in Tucson, AZ. I arrived in the late afternoon, as the sun was going down. I remember seeing many different types of people, from tourists to the different Native American performers. The physical setting of this particular celebration was outside, and based around, one main circle. Drums were beating so loud, you could feel the pound inside your chest. Different activities were going on all around, such as dancers, vendors, and a huge variety of foods to choose from. The circular dancing arena is known as the arbor, this area is blessed before any of the events
Nothing is worse then when trying to get to class but you’re unable to get through the halls because some snobby group of people is blocking the way. These people do not care about anything that is going on around them. The only thing they care about is their unimportant conversation. People who stand in the middle of the hallway are the worst of the worst and need to get a move on.
In the United States, starting salaries for teachers who have completed a four-year degree are far lower compared to many other professions, which also require a four-year degree. In most states, teachers must undergo testing and other rigorous certification requirements, but they are given the same consideration or status as beginning professionals in other areas. Although attractive incentives are offered, the compensation does not compare to the long hours of work and schooling required for a teaching career.
