My paper has been accepted. To attend the Building Simulation 2017, I need to apply conference grants from our government (because traveling to US and the conference are expensive). I have to submit the required documents for the application at least 2 months before the conference date. One of the requirement is an acceptance (invitation) letter confirming that my paper will be presented orally. However, I have to wait for several weeks to know whether I will presented orally. This situation is very difficult for us, especially because the early birth registration will last in the beginning of June. Could you help me by informing me earlier about my paper status? Othewise, I cannot attend the conference. Thanks for your help in advance. I am
I give this movie a six out of five-star rating. How it managed to keep me on the edge of my seat the entire time is beyond me; I am still in disbelief that I was fully engaged for the entire two hours and twenty-six minutes. Although I had heard many great things about the novel, the film exceeded all of my expectations. The Natural teaches many valuable lessons about perseverance, determination, commitment, karma, relationships, and staying young at heart.
For chemistry, I choose a argumentative white board because I had to work with a team to succeed it is all a lab analysis and other lab groups made their own critics toward the presentations.I had to acquire information to solve my problem.I over came this assignment by taking many procedures to accomplish and then argued my evidence to argue with other teams. This also helped improve quality of the work that was expected. If I were to redo this assignment,I would put in more in for information on the
The SIMSOC program allowed our class to create not only small individual societies, but also one large society together in which every decision had an outcome that must be addressed in order to thrive. Such dynamics of a real society were put in place to ultimately show us how various social situations can have power us. Specific situations were set up before hand without us knowing and we unconsciously and impulsively conformed to certain roles and conditions.
Last year, I set the goal that I wanted to pass the 2017 AP Studio Art 2-D: Design Exam. I wanted to prove my art ability. For the portfolio, I had to create 12 pieces that demonstrated a theme and 12 pieces that show experimentation. Sadly, I needed 6 pieces still. For a week before the exam, I worked on the other pieces everyday. Drawing, then adding Ink, then adding white out, then adding cutouts. The night before, I stayed up until 4am to finish. I was able to successfully finish my portfolio and I received a 5 on it. This year I submitted an application for the YoungArts competition and I hope to become a finalist.
As a poor Asian who ventured out of a dominantly white, small town, I understand the consequences of being a minority. This is how my passion to serve the underserved originated, and why I have partnered with service organizations such as Berea Buddies and AmeriCorps. Being a member of these empathetic communities has deepened my gratitude for how beautifully diverse our world is and for all people regardless of the challenges they face. For example, upon entering my service year to mentor children in D.C. public schools, I was told by almost everyone that there is no helping those children because of the family and monetary problems they encounter. Their responses reminded me of the comments I heard when I decided my life after high-school.
I fully understand your schedule is committed with work, the Coordinating Board, Politics and personal. I will keep you updated on how everything is trending, and thank you for the introduction. Texas depends on the work and support from individual like you.
I loved the Metro Center presentations. I thought they were extremely relevant to both college and career life, and I was excited about the topics of race, equitability, and different kinds of privilege being central focuses. I also like that the topics were so well defined, exampled, and discussed.
My paperwork and presentation are ready since last week, but because of my health. I'm not able to come and do my presentation.
When first prompted with the assignment to volunteer 20 hours of my time somewhere off the University of Minnesota’s campus, I was quite stressed out because of the time commitment. However, as I was reading through the list of possible locations to volunteer one particular place grabbed my attention and made me feel as though it would not be as terrible of an experience that I assumed it would be for me. The name of this place was Waite House and thankfully it is currently the organization where I am engaging in my service-learning. Waite House is located in the Ventura Village neighborhood within the Phillips community in Minneapolis. Waite House caught my attention because not only was it a relatively short commute on the public transit system, but the description mentioned youth fitness and obesity/diabetes prevention. Not only am I educated in diabetes prevention, but I also have previous experience with fitness and working with youth. So, I applied to this organization because I felt as though Waite House would be the perfect placement for me.
Thank you very much for the feedback. Unfortunately, I didn’t receive Boston Rd Patients from the Care Transitions Team since 06/21/17 (my last notification was sent on 6/20/17).
In preparing to work with my client I reviewed the goals I had set from the first SIM: Caring for a client with mental health challenges. I felt that working with this client would require a large component of relations practice. I prepared myself with curiosity and understanding that it could be more challenging to develop a nurse-client relationship when in which my client would feel comfortable enough to share factors that had and were currently influencing his health experience. I also want to prepare myself of a situation that would be new to me. I had never worked with a client whom had tried to take their life. I wanted ensure I would give my client time for him to share his experience and feel that his caregiver was listening to
“The outcome of the simulation is unpredictable and demonstrates how strategizing with limited resources can make meeting even the most basic needs very challenging for a family.” (Community Action Partnership, (2017).
I am so happy that the session went really well. The time and effort that you put into this session is greatly appreciated! I, too, cannot wait to see how they apply their learnings to their classrooms. My Bay Area connection, Diana Phuong, is cc’ed on this email and she would be happy to connect you to the TFA – Bay Area. Also, my corps members who were unable to attend were wondering if you’d be willing to offer a make-up session.
This week in sub-acute, we were educating patient actors on how to use their BiPAP machine. My partner and I worked well together in the simulation. I explained how the BIPAP machine work to the patient and my partner explained the mask fitting and maintenance of the machine. The whole simulation went smooth, and the patient actor seemed relaxed and retaining the information. This was later confirmed, when the patient actor reviewed us. In the review, he commented how he felt very comfortable with us and we were very professional. Overall I would give myself a self-assessment score for sub-acute simulations 4.
We decided to use cotton batting as our insulation. We used cotton batting because with insulation it slows the transfer of thermal energy, either coming in or going out of the house. In today’s houses, those with no insulation can lose up to 60 percent of their energy. This happens because the fiberglass, mineral wool, plastic fibers, and natural fibers found within today’s houses are packed so that when the heat tries to transfer it slows down because it has to go through those minerals first.
