On September 5th 2016 I got backed into by a car. It was labor day and my best friend Reiley, her brother Wes and I were going to the beach to use sparkles to celebrate labor day and after I was to sleepover their house and go to freshman orientation. This day happened to be Reiley’s dad’s birthday and earlier that morning her great aunt passed away so it was already an eventful day. We drove to the beach and jammed hardcore to irreplaceable by Beyonce. Once we got to the beach we all got out of the car Reiley was driving, Wes was in the back seat and I was in the front seat I playfully hit Wes and then we started walking to the beach Reiley had run ahead because a minivan was backing up leaving Wes and I behind. Nothing was unordinary until …show more content…
I got into the back of the ambulance this was my first time so I asked if it would be okay if I layed down on the bed the man whose name I forgot shortly after he told me first took my pulse he asked me what happened and I told him. After he took my pulse I asked him to look at my head because I was really worried about it he told me I was okay and just had a little cut on my ear. I asked him if we should go to the hospital but he said it was up to my mom so we would have to wait until she arrived. Around this time is when Reiley’s mom showed up and I felt so bad that this happened on the day she lost her aunt. I told her I was sorry for piling this on top of her loss she told me not to be sorry. Suddenly a strange woman came into the ambulance she looked hispanic and I had never actually met her before I asked how she was and why she was there and she apologized and said she thought I was her granddaughter in all honestly I’m not sure why she thought this because I didn’t look anything like her. But she left and I told Reileys mom to go be with Wes and see how Reiley was …show more content…
In what seemed like no time at all my mom was back in the room and my brother was in Wes’s room because they’re best friends. We sat around for a few more minutes and then the doctor came in and explained everything to me. This was the scariest part. He told me that because my head had been hit I had a low chance of brain bleeding and the way to tell if this was happening would be a cat scan however he also explained the more cat scans you have and the younger you are when you have them the more likely you are to get cancer later in life so we decided not to get a catscan and he told me that someone would have to come and check on me every four hours and make sure I was okay. After I was done with the doctor I ran around the hospital with one shoe on makeup running down my face and a bandaged foot looking for Wes and Reiley. I finally found them and asked how everyone was doing Wes tore a muscle in their arm and Reiley was given something for the anxiety. We were all ready to go and then the question finally came up was I going home or was I still spending the night at Reiley’s because of many reasons I will not mention I decided to stay at
The ambulance arrived and took my vitals my blood pressure was high which is unusual for me because I am fairly young and healthy. At this point, I knew I needed help and scheduled an appointment with a psychiatrist, but unfortunately, the soonest appointment was in two weeks, so I had no choice but to wait.Furthermore, my stresses continued, about last week I was driving in Tempe, turning out of a plaza when I hit a girl on a bicycle.I didn't see her and guess I wasn't paying attention which is unusual for me because I'm usually precise when it comes to coordination. As soon as I realized what happened I panicked, my heart rate accelerated and I quickly went into a fight or flight response.I had to think quick, and for a slight second, it crossed my mind if I should drive away fast or get out and help, but I knew I had to make sure the person was ok.As I got out the car, I was terrified I didn't know if the person would attack me or was hurt badly and too make matters worse a small crowd had gathered around the cyclist.I immediately ran over to her to see if she was ok and if I should call an ambulance, but luckily for me, she was ok and just had some minor scratches.I eventually gave her a ride home since her bike was damaged. She was an ASU student and very understanding.I think I might have been more shaken up than her. After the incident, I turned to social support, and called my friend and explained what happened, she told me that, she had also hit someone on a bike
Then I snapped out of my dream with the sound of the phone ringing, we were about 30 minutes from home and my mom looks at me. I automatically knew something was up as she hung up she turned to me and said: “ Will be packing bags they want us to stay in the hospital.” Still so confused and anxious about what they had found they didn 't say anything over the phone. We got to the hospital and sat down with the doctor and an interpreter. and that 's when he dropped the bomb “You have a brain tumor” it almost felt as if I was on a rollercoaster the one where it drops so fast to the ground that you feel your organs fell, I cried and I wished we never came. My mother she was in tears as much as she tried to hold back they bursted out. Later then they settled me and my mom in a room its was all colorful and I felt as if I were in a little kids room except it was a hospital room. The next day I get scheduled for a biopsy and I was pretty terrified and they explained the process to me as if I were to be less scared. They weren’t going to open my skull, go through my nose to take a little chunk of the tumour, then examine it and see if it was malignant or benign. I got the results that it was malignant and I would soon start my chemotherapy.
It was the day of April 13, 2000. I woke up at exactly 12 o’clock because my boyfriend was to pick me up at 1 like we planned the night before. The day looked quite nice, but I was in a fowl mood. I got into a car accident the night before and had a huge argument with my parents about the car. I finally dragged myself into the shower and got ready in half an hour. Then I went downstairs, sat on my couch, and repeatedly told myself the day would hopefully turn out better than last night. At around 1:15, my boyfriend came to pick me up. We took the 5 freeway to the 57 since it was the only way I knew how to get there. As we approached the 134 freeway, my girlfriend veered to the right,
Now it was around midnight and I was settled into my ICU room. Everyone left beside my mom and dad. All I wanted to do was go to bed. Doctor after doctor would come and go checking all my vitals and putting medicine into my IV. When I did get to sleep it was only for an hour. The nurses would come in every hour to make sure I was okay. They woke me up at 6:00am to get another cat scan. The machine was in the basement that looked like it was a place in the movies where all the
It was Monday, June 6th, 2016. The sun was shining and it was nice weather for an adventure. It was the first summer that any of my friends had their licences, so adventures were always happening. Kayla, Emily and I were on our way to Wildwood park, in her old blue car listening to music, using the GPS, and driving. Kayla was driving, Emily in the front seat, and I in the back. We were on Highway 14 going towards Mankato. Kayla looks down at the GPS for a second, I start yelling “shit, shit, shit, shit.”and then CRASH. Our small blue car is now in the back of a large pickup truck. After all this happen we end up in the ditch on the other side of the road. We all sat in silence for like a minute, then Kayla started to freak out a little. Emily and I working on calming her down. A construction worker came up to our car and asks us if we are alright and told us, “Make sure you can move your arms and legs, sometimes things happen and you won't even know.” We moved and we were all alright. First thing Kayla did was call her grandpa because he owned Kayla's car, he told us he was on his way. I texted my mom and she was not answering so I had to text my sister and she told my mom. And Emily text her mom as well. We did not want to call the cops because we didn't even know what to say or what to do, but the lady in the truck did not want to
I wake up and I am not entirely sure where I am at. I am laying in a bed and rolling around as someone is pushing me. The door infront of me opens manually and I am pushed through the door still not knowing what is going on. I have a sling on my arm, but I cannot feel it at all. My right arm is numb from the shoulder down, but as I am rolled into my room I see my mother, father, and grandma sitting and waiting on me. I remember now; I just came out of shoulder surgery that could possibly make or break my baseball career. The doctor comes in and explained what happened in the operating room, and explains that everything went very well. He had no complications and that after I get food in my system that I could leave. Everything was happening
It all started on Monday April, 10th 2017. My family and I were all going on a trip to Florida for a week then to a tropical island off the coast of Florida. The people that were going was my mom, dad, brother, my best friend, my girlfriend, her mom, her dad, her brother, her brother's family, her best friend, and me. We all met at the Cincinnati airport where we flew 4 hours to Florida. When we got to Florida we got a hotel for the week. We were staying at a Doubletree hotel in St. Pete Beach.
After my sister went, it was my dads turn. I realized he had a worried look on his face, which probably was contagious because my sister asked me if I was alright. I then replied with a “No”, I told her about how dad had a back brace on and that's why he refused to take his long sleeved shirt off. As I was telling her this I saw my mom rushing to find her car keys. I then saw Nick, pulling my dad to the shore. I felt a scream cough up my throat. I ran to him and realized his arm looked broken. He was conscious so I knew that he would be fine but I realized that his back may be damaged. Before I could check my mom ran over and told us that we may have to drive him to the closest hospital. I hadn't realized that this may be as serious as she made it sound. So I ran to the car and grabbed a towel to help dry him of. I soon saw my mom and Nick carrying him to the
When we got to the hospital I fell asleep from the drugs they gave me. I woke up and I felt like I was getting my head banged against a door. My mom was sitting in the room with my real dad I asked what happened and I apparently had a grand mal seizure and had stopped breathing. I was absolutely shocked, if my mom didn’t give me CPR I would’ve died. I would have been deader than a possum on the side of the road. The doctor came in and said that I have epilepsy, my mom started balling her eyes
I think because of this event, I’ve started to force myself to go to school no matter how awful I feel because I was always told school comes first before anything. My goal was to just survive through the pain. This patterned continued of sleepless nights, complaining of headaches, and a constant dull pain in the side of my head. My teachers and my parents were fed up with my whining about it and my constant crying that just finally, I believe it was 3 days later, but it felt like a week before they took me to the hospital. However, none of the hospitals my father took me to have the equipment to treat me or didn’t take our insurance this was at least 4 different hospitals in the Detroit
I told her what happened. She got there as soon as the ambulance got there. Somebody could’ve been dead by the time the ambulance got there. They came in and checked her. The paramedics and the emts told her she can’t be doing all that energetic exercise. They took her out the house on the stretcher into the ambulance van. My father told us to straighten up before we left to go with my auntie. When we got done she told us to go get some clothes. We did as we was told. When i got done, looked out the window and seen that the ambulance was still outside. I went outside to be nosey. They told my father he couldn't get in to check on my mother, so he was standing on the porch watching from a far distance. I was curious to what they was doing to
Then in less than half a second I was in the ER. Alice was standing over me fear in her eyes, I look around and see blake isn’t here. I also notice that I am hooked up to an IV tube. Seems like a bit much for hitting your head on a table in a restaurant, I thought to myself. I see a tray with a bloody knife on it. What in the world happened with that?! I started getting scared, Alice was crying. I tried to look around the room again but my head wouldn’t move the time. I tried to speak but started choking on water.
After this my brother ran me home to my more while telling me not to cry. When my mom first saw me with the blood all over me, she panicked and asked a million questions. To which I gave answers that were muffled by my crying sobs. When we arrived to the hospital they put me to sleep and sure enough when I woke up I had loads of staples in my head. The doctor said if it had been a little more to the back of my head it could have been way more serious. Lucky it wasn’t and I was all good, after this we drove home and had a great
Seeing his bolts either miss or simply cut through the masked man's body without much more than a puff of smoke Revenant can't help cursing in the back of his head at another foe that can all but cancel out his ranged attacks before the enemy's counterattack happened. But while the others may have been bound by those tentacles a bit of form shifting had the metal golem slipping out of those bonds by transforming much of his body into flowing metal with the rapid fire shots striking Reveant's previous postion.
When I got up I noticed that where I had landed there was an old turquoise glass bottle just inches from where I was. After I looked at the bottle I realized that I had to clean up the situation that I had caused so I got up and checked on Diego who was freaking out so I asked if he was ok and if he was hurt but he was hysterical and was not thinking straight. Diego kept asking me where his phone was, and silly things that were irrelevant, but then he started saying “ I can’t see, everything is blurry” so I called my aunt and had her take Diego to the hospital to make sure he was ok and then I flipped the crooked and bent four wheeler over and drove the formerly shiny and new four wheeler back to my house. I parked the four wheeler and locked up the house. I was walking to my truck when i started feeling so much pain i could barely stay upright but i had to make sure that my mistake did not hurt Diego so i got in my truck and caught up to my aunt and followed her to the hospital. The doctors ran test and they said she was ok, she did have a killer headache and was not able to straighten her arm but was not scratched up while I was scratched up all over but it was only a flesh
